I have stayed in this hotel for a few times! Recommended 5 stars hotel in Semarang. The best part is that all staff are very friendly, professional and HELPFUL. The location is not that close to city center, but it is not that far, either. So, quite convenient. I will sure stay again in this hotel.

This is a beautiful property with clean well appointed rooms. The gym has good equipment and the pool is great. The only thing that I was not happy with is the hotel changed their policy about using the sauna and steam rooms. I have been visiting this hotel every year and this is the first time I was denied entry because I booked a superior room instead of a deluxe room. I believe this is a bad policy.

love every part of this hotel, during all my hop on and hop off hotels this past years, this Gumaya hotel has met a good standard in most of aspects, especially the breakfast. im so suprised find hotel that the breakfast food taste delicious in all the stalls (usually will be too salty, too bland or just bleh..) but at gumaya, we are like travelling to each own traditional food restaurant, the authentic gudeg, the very nice lumpia and ikan bandeng, the warm soto ayam semarang and the homemade jamu and juices. all is excellent.

I recently had a delightful stay at Hotel Tentrem in Semarang, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, and their attentiveness truly enhanced our experience. The cleanliness of the rooms and restrooms was impressive, which is always a top priority for me when traveling. The hotel amenities, including the gym, were excellent and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights for me was the delicious breakfast spread. The variety was fantastic, and the quality of the food was outstanding. I also want to give a special shoutout to Ibuk Elfi for her warm hospitality during breakfast. Her cheerful demeanor made our mornings even more enjoyable. As a coffee lover, I was particularly impressed by the skills of Mas Arafi, the barista. I thoroughly enjoyed the cappuccino, mocaccino, and café latte he prepared; each cup was a treat. His knowledge of coffee truly shines through in every sip. Excellent hotel. The best from the Swiss-Bel chain. One of the few hotels that serve good quality western wheat bread for breakfast. Unfortunately, only sweet stuff such as jam, chocolate paste and peanut butter is served. Good quality wheat bread should be served with cheese, slices of cold meat and boiled eggs. Sweet stuff is for white bread. There is an entrance from the hotel to the mall which is very convenient. This hotel has a great lobby, lounge and bar area with a good atmosphere. Live music performances are everyday in this area from 20.00 to 22.00. For us, 22.00 is too early. By that time we return from dining outside. Hence, we would greatly appreciate it if the music performance is until 23.00. The bathroom has a very good bathtub, excellent heated water and Pepsodent toothpaste. The bedroom has two chairs, a fridge and good quality matresses.

Any thing. From thej very first moment I stepped into the well appnted and furnished lobby with abundance of well displayed local antiques and traditional handicraft, to the moment I reached my corner-view junior suite on 9th floor with plenty of amenities and cares, batik patterned bathrobes included! The entre staff is responsve, naturally and honestly smiling, and with the right attitude of solving. Even though travelling as solo I was welcomned by people to have a chat with and this is absolutely outsanding. As to its position I would say great. A few blocks away from the local Kampung Wisata Batik Kauman and the Kraton, as well as the buses heading to Semarang. Solo Balipan station is 10 minutes away by taxi. The morning breakfast is the real prelude to joyful tastes from local dishes to international. Anything freshly cooked and replenished constantly by well trained staff from cooks to waiters. The best capuccino I have ever had it was there! Absolutely recommendable

I came during high season so maybe the cleaning staff wasn't very detailed (we found popcorn at floor and some stain at bed sheet). I complained and the staff handle it very well. However this hotel located at strategic place so near from central city. The hotel is connected to a mall, so it's very helpful for families with children (I brought a 1-year-old baby) if there are baby items that we forgot to bring from home. We can buy them at the mall. Breakfast is complete but maybe if they have ”nasi tim” it will be perfect. (In this case because my baby cant eat rice yet) Thank you Po Hotel

We had a nice experience staying at Grand Mercure Solo Baru! The location was perfect and reachable to all around the city. The room was really cozy. Cleanliness could be slightly improved as we could see signs of aging, including at the gym. But overall, we would come back!
