Great place to stay. Super modern amenities, everything goes seamless from the pickup service, check-in, and chatting with the staffs (you need Wechat). While this place is about 30 minutes away from downtown Zhangjiajie and Tianmen mountain cableway station, you can truly feel being at Zhangjiajie as you get to stay at a place that is surrounded by foggy mountains. Breakfast buffet is complimentary and pretty decent and other Chinese menu that you can order at the hotel restaurant are phenomenal. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place to other travelers.

Getting to Orange Isle is super convenient; you can either walk across Xiangjiang Bridge or take the subway just one stop. It's also only about 3 stops to downtown areas like Wuyi Square. Environment: The surrounding area is a bit so-so, with a few construction sites, but it's very quiet. Service and hygiene were both excellent, making me feel right at home.

I stayed for three nights, and everything was so convenient. The laundry room and gym had all the amenities, and there was even a dryer! The breakfast buffet had a great variety and tasted good every morning. Most importantly, the location was excellent and made getting around a breeze. Within 300 meters, there's Metro Line 2. Turn left out of the hotel, and the first intersection leads to Taiping Old Street. A kilometer further, you'll find IFS and Huangxing Middle Road. The second intersection takes you to Pozi Street. At the third intersection, you'll find Hisense Plaza, where Wenheyou is located. Further along are Du Fu River Pavilion, and then the 'Qia Tongxue Shaonian' Square... Seriously, it's convenient for getting anywhere!

For the view of the mountains, this stay is so awesome. If you mainly want to see the Zhangjiajie National Park, I really recommend this hotel. For me, I underestimated the amount of time it would take to get to Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie city. It was a little inconvenient for me because I had to call taxis if I wanted to go out to eat and it was kind of far. A lot of taxi drivers would ask me for a tip because the location was difficult to reach. Apart from the location issue, I really enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were so accommodating and kind and even drove me to Zhangjiajie city on my last day. The dogs were so cute and the view of the mountains was stunning. If you want a perfect getaway from the city and stunning views, then this is the place for you. If you want to hangout in the more lively places, it might be kind of a hassle. This hotel is perfect for those who want a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

The hotel fully lived up to our expectations! The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking. The smart room controls were very convenient and easy to use. The hotel grounds are lovely, with scenic walking paths and swings that create a very relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was not extremely varied, but everything was delicious — be sure to try the shaomai! In the evenings, you can order local Chinese dishes prepared by the chef. The food is excellent, although many dishes are designed for sharing and the portions are quite large. There are also snacks available at the reception desk. The weather in the park can change quickly, but the hotel sells both raincoats and shoe covers for rainy days (surprisingly useful!). The hotel also provides a shuttle to the park entrance, which is only a short distance away. I would also like to give special thanks to the hotel staff for the airport transfers and for their invaluable assistance throughout our stay. They helped us plan our sightseeing itinerary, purchase tickets, and were incredibly responsive to any questions we had — whether about the room or even our travel plans during the day. Their support made our trip much easier and more enjoyable. Thank you so much ❤️ When planning the trip, I recommend allowing at least two full days for the park itself, plus another one or two days for Tianmen Mountain and the Glass Bridge. Keep in mind that these attractions are about an hour’s drive from the main park and the hotel. I would also highly recommend visiting the 72 Wonder Tower in Zhangjiajie City in the evening. The atmosphere there is incredible, with live performances, actors in costume, and beautiful light installations that make the whole place feel magical.

We had a great stay in the duplex room at this hotel. The room was lovely. All staff were wonderful and very helpful. Even before we arrived, they were able to help us out with any queries we had for visiting the area. They booked our tickets in advance for Zhangjiajie national park and Tianmen mountain (even though we were moving to another hotel to be nearer Tianmen mountain at the end of our trip). They were also able to provide us with a good itinerary for those visits. They also have a cute family of cats and kittens living on their roof garden at the moment! Would highly recommend staying there.

Staying at this guesthouse was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Zhangjiajie. We were traveling with our 4-year-old child, and the main purpose of our journey was to visit Zhangjiajie National Park — and this place made the experience absolutely unforgettable. You are treated not just as a guest, but as a truly valued part of the household. Since we were traveling with a child, we were kindly offered a two-bedroom apartment — an incredible gesture that made our stay exceptionally comfortable. The sleep quality deserves special praise: the bedding, pillows, and blankets are all of the highest standard. You sink into sleep as if you were staying in a top luxury hotel. The interior is beautifully designed — a tasteful blend of East and West, with great attention to detail. Everything, from the bathroom fixtures to the toiletries, is carefully chosen and of excellent quality. The staff’s kindness and care deserve a separate mention. Our “auntie” was available for us at any moment through a private WeChat group, ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was freshly prepared every morning, and the chef is simply outstanding. All meals are Chinese cuisine, cooked with love, and always adapted to our child’s preferences. We ended up having dinner at the guesthouse every night because it felt like home-cooked comfort food. The location is another huge advantage — only a 5-minute drive to the Southeast Gate of Zhangjiajie National Park, which is the most convenient entrance with the best choice of routes. The guesthouse provided transfers to the park and also arranged our pick-up from the airport in advance. The property has 17 rooms of different sizes — one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, some with terraces overlooking spectacular scenery. The guesthouse is set in a peaceful and picturesque area where you can take short walks, observe local village life, and enjoy stunning views from every angle. Overall, this place made our trip truly special. It combines comfort, warmth, thoughtful service, and a perfect location. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie — you will feel at home, cared for, and surrounded by beauty. A hotel worth revisiting: The location is excellent and quiet, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. In particular, the front desk service was incredibly professional, thoughtful, and enthusiastic, almost anticipating our every need (they thoughtfully helped us purchase tickets, proactively upgraded our room, and recommended reliable and delicious restaurants... 100 points!)

Hotel is amazing! It’s located in a quiet area with stunning mountain views, while still being convenient, just a short taxi ride or a pleasant walk to the main street of Wulingyuan. I truly enjoyed my stay. The facilities and amenities are excellent, and I had a wonderful spa massage and ear-cleaning treatment in my room. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. They assisted me in planning my three-day trip to Zhangjiajie and even helped book the attractions. Their recommendations were perfect, I was able to enjoy every place without feeling rushed or missing anything. Thank you so much! I also loved the tea shop in the lobby, where I had a delightful tea tasting and traditional tea ceremony. It was such a memorable experience. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

I had an amazing stay at Avatar Mountain Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a peaceful atmosphere and lovely surroundings. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly attentive, kind, and always willing to help. Our flight was delayed by several hours, meaning we arrived in the early hours of the morning, but they still arranged to pick us up from the airport and were just as helpful when dropping us off later. Their hospitality made a stressful travel day so much easier. Although the hotel is a little outside the city, it was never an issue. Getting a DiDi was quick and affordable, and the staff were always happy to help arrange transportation and make sure we could get wherever we wanted to go without any hassle. Overall, the combination of the beautiful hotel, outstanding service, and convenient transport made for a fantastic stay. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Zhangjiajie!
