Excellent! Located in the old district of Macau Peninsula, it's convenient for dining, accommodation, entertainment, and shopping. Personally, I think it offers better value for money than staying in Taipa. From the Gongbei Port, you can take the Sands or Grand Lisboa shuttle bus, and it's about a 10-minute walk from the drop-off point. For your return journey, you can also take the Sands shuttle back to the Border Gate. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel (bus route 3) that goes to the Ruins of St. Paul's, which is also just over a 1km walk away. The Fisherman's Wharf, Sands, MGM, Wynn, and StarWorld are all within walking distance too. The hotel management staff are polite and humble, and the rooms are very spacious and clean. It's quiet at night, ensuring a good rest. All in all, it was a very comfortable stay. I visit Macau frequently and will definitely stay here again next time.
Thanks to Trip.com and the励庭海景酒店 (Harbourview Hotel), my family and I had a perfect New Year's Day trip to Macau.
I booked quite late, and many hotels in Taipa were full. We ended up staying on the Peninsula and chose this hotel, which was on the popular list. When I read the negative reviews, I was worried about dampness, mold, no in-room water, and noise from the casino. However, trusting Trip.com's reputation and my own judgment, I booked the room. It turns out I made the right choice!
The room had a large wardrobe with ample storage space, bathrobes, and disposable amenities. The bathroom had a bathtub, a non-slip mat, and conditioner – a big plus! There was absolutely no dampness or mold. There were two bottles of water in the room, and a water dispenser in the hallway for refills. Our window overlooked the hotel's central courtyard garden. It was a bit pricey during New Year's, costing over 1200+, but it was worth it. When traveling with family, their comfort is paramount.
The hotel's overall environment is beautiful, and the facilities are complete. Every front desk staff member spoke fluent Mandarin, and the restaurant's breakfast was plentiful. It's also very close to the bus stop, which was super convenient for getting around during our two-day trip.
I also want to thank Trip.com customer service. When checking in, the front desk hadn't received my booking number yet. Trip.com's customer service immediately confirmed that my order was valid, explaining that the reservations department had just started their shift and hadn't sent the information to the front desk yet. I hope Trip.com adds more packages and direct-sourcing room types in the future, as booking agent rooms for overseas travel can sometimes be a bit concerning.
The hotel boasts an excellent location and is very quiet on a high floor, offering great value for money. The service was attentive. Right outside, there are plenty of options for quick bites and local snacks. Getting a taxi to the ferry terminal is quick and convenient. For those traveling from Macau to West Kowloon (High-Speed Rail Station) or Harbour City, taking a ferry to the appropriate passenger terminal is the most convenient option. However, if you arrive at the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal, it's best to go to Sheung Wan MTR station to connect to the subway. Do be prepared for a fair bit of walking in Hong Kong!
The hotel is clean and hygienic, with good facilities. The staff are warm and attentive. There are many restaurants nearby, and the location is great, close to Fisherman's Wharf, Lotus Square, and Sands Hotel. You can also walk to Senado Square. Located on the Macau Peninsula, it has a more authentic local vibe and is a very good value for money hotel.
The rooms are very spacious, and the price is quite reasonable, especially since it's the off-season now. I recommend traveling during off-peak times!
Facilities: Fully equipped
Cleanliness: Acceptable
Service: The hotel front desk staff speak very standard Mandarin.
Environment: Exceeded expectations
We booked a triple room with proper beds for 3 pax. During check in, staff asked if we can take a twin room with an add on bed as the last triple room available has smoking smell. Staff brought us to see the room. The room is squeezy but we sensed that the advice is to take the twin room. In the end we decided to take the triple room which we have paid for and asked for air filter in the room. Staff was not as friendly compared to other hotels we stayed.
Had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Macau! The room was spacious, very clean, and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The jacuzzi was a big highlight relaxing, and exactly what you need to unwind. 🛁✨
What really stood out was the staff who can speak Tagalog, which made communication easy and made us feel very welcome as Filipinos. The location is also great, close to key spots and very convenient for getting around Macau.
Highly recommended for comfort, convenience, and great service. Will definitely stay here again!
Hotel is old and tired, need renovation badly. However room is clean and tidy. Reception service was so-so and not welcoming. Check-in was good though, just the night time when approached another receptionist for my own room number but was given a cold and not welcoming reply. It was normal for guest to forget their own room numbers as they don’t stay permanently. However a simple way to verify was guest able to give his identity numbers and name. Or hotel can always accompany the guest to the room to verify. However this guy was so unpleasant and blunt in his replied. Will not stay again in this hotel.
The room decor is exquisite and refined, and the bedding is very comfortable. I really enjoyed the mini-bar and the hand-ground coffee. The owner is incredibly passionate and dedicated; he invested heavily in renovating this old building to preserve and promote Macau's century-old history. The time, money, and effort he poured into it are immense, though the conventional return on investment would be hard to achieve even in a hundred years. It's definitely worth a stay, a must-visit spot in the old town and old city. Historical landmarks like the Ruins of St. Paul's, Monte Fort, Macau Museum, and St. Dominic's Church are all very close by. The old streets crisscross, offering plenty of delicious food and picturesque spots perfect for photos. Booking in advance makes this hotel excellent value for money. Highly recommended! 👍
The view from the window was quite open. If you run out of mineral water, you can call for two more bottles for free, which you definitely should, considering a bottle costs 20 yuan there! It's like a scenic spot price. When I called the front desk to ask for water, their first response was in English. Don't panic; just speak Mandarin, and they'll immediately switch to Mandarin.
It was pretty quiet at night, and the soundproofing was good. Breakfast is on the third floor, and the food there is decent, with about ten different options. The fried rice noodles were quite good, slightly spicy [sneaky laugh emoji].
The Venetian Shopping Center is nearby. We walked there from the hotel; it took about fifteen minutes. It's quite convenient, and there's a bus stop right downstairs.

MM416121****The hotel lobby also has Line Friends photo ops, which is a nice touch.
The front desk offers daily Wynn Palace skip-the-line tickets, which are very useful!
If you book an L'Occitane themed room, you'll get L'Occitane samples.
For public transport 🚌, the MT4 bus stop right outside the hotel covers most tourist routes, making it convenient to get to the Old Town, Ruins of St. Paul's, and The Venetian, The Londoner, and The Parisian. If you want a taxi, there's a taxi stand right outside the hotel.
There's a shuttle bus 🚗 to Wynn Palace that runs every 10 minutes or so, taking about 10 minutes. It's quite convenient.
Connected to the hotel 🏨 is a small entertainment complex with a milk tea shop, Japanese set meals, and Sang Kee Cafe (which partners with the hotel for a buffet breakfast). P6 shows the à la carte beef noodles, and there's a generous amount of beef – it would easily cost 80 RMB in Shanghai 😂. For breakfast, there are three restaurants: Sang Kee Cafe, and then Anqi'er Cafe (P4&5), which has delicious oatmeal and yogurt.
DDengdengxiaowangzhiThe environment here is great, with a stunning night view of Galaxy Macau right outside the window. The room was very clean and smoke-free. It's also very convenient to get here from the airport; you can take the Light Rail to Galaxy-Cotai Frontier Station, or take a taxi to Galaxy Macau and walk over. The front desk staff were all very helpful, and you can store your luggage there.

AAnonymous UserThe free shuttle from Macau International Airport is very convenient to get to the hotel, and then to Taipa Ferry station on the way back when we had to leave.
The room itself was spotless, zero complaints.
When it comes to the breakfast, we have to choose between Angela's, Stanley's, and Signature Noodles. We didn't have the time to test out Angela's, but I would highly advise going for Stanley's and not Signature Noodles for breakfast, the latter I found a bit lackluster.
Other than that, overall great value for money.

JJess LHLove the 5-Star feel - big & functional fresh-looking room (including its bath tub), bell hop service, housekeeping & overall hotel outlook. Location is very central with many restaurants and shopping around, and New Yaohan departmental store with a good foodcourt is just next door. Free shuttle buses to/from Galaxy, City of Dreams, The Parisian, Grand Lisboa Palace make their frequrnt stops behind/next to Grand Emperor. Walkable (15-20mins) to Ruins of St. Paul’s and its surrounding museum, fort, shopping, food streets. There’s also nearby lovely Nam Van Lake (with nice lakeside seats and eateries, eg McDonalds and Sei Kee Cafe (yummy Bolo Buns & other foods). For convenient breakfast, Reese Cafe at the hotel lobby fulfills well with nice inexpensive freshly ground coffee. Highly recommend this hotel.
VVernette LaiA comfy hotel with beautiful views, relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff.
We had an episode where medical attention was required (not the hotel's fault at all), all staff were super helpful and that helped to calm a lot of nerves down. And that was greatly appreciated!
ZZhoushanbentulaoyuminThe hotel facilities are a bit old, but overall the hygiene is quite good. Transportation is convenient, and there are many residential areas and plenty of food options nearby. The downside is the poor soundproofing; the hallway gets noisy in the morning, so light sleepers beware. Also, the front desk staff were cold and unfriendly during check-in. However, the bellhop was polite and enthusiastic. Breakfast was a bit limited, but it met basic needs. Overall, it's a mid-range value for money.
