Hotel 3-Star di Ningxia, China

Good value for money, friendly, helpful night staff, no language problem, easy and trouble free foreign friendly. The feedback is based on my room and my overall experience. The room was very clean, newish super clear, bright lights bathroom, with very nice shower. The beds are a bit hard but nothing major, very quite, small but manageable parking space, despite my car being a big. It was one night experience, short but pleasant with lots of food option but the front doors of the hotel. Which very convenient. Definitely recommend unfortunately, I forgot to take some pictures. I stayed in an air-conditioned cabin without a private bathroom this time. It was cleaner than I expected. I'd recommend bringing a pair of flip-flops for the shared showers. Other amenities like toothbrushes and towels were disposable, which was great. Getting a taxi was difficult, but the host was incredibly thoughtful and came to pick us up. There was a bonfire party in the evening, and they set off fireworks like there was no tomorrow! Watching the stars and fireworks in the desert was absolutely beautiful!

The location of the hotel is convenient, the room is clean and comfortable, and the bedding is soft. The service staff is warm and thoughtful, the stay experience is very good, will come again next time. The environment is quiet and tidy, and the rooms are warmly furnished. The front desk service is professional and efficient, the breakfast is rich and delicious, and the overall experience exceeds expectations and is worth recommending. The room is spacious and bright, and the hygiene is very meticulous. The staff is friendly and responsive, making people feel comfortable and at ease, very satisfied. The hotel is fully equipped and the health is very good. The service is intimate and thoughtful, the check-in and check-out are very smooth, cost-effective, it is a pleasant stay

I absolutely loved this place! I’m writing this as a foreigner who went with 4 other foreigners for a special birthday weekend. First, the service. We have good Chinese proficiency, but those with limited to none will be fine. Most of the communication and coordination is handled via WeChat - which can auto translate. 东 “Dong” was our main contact. He rocked and gave us a real experience. He shuttled us in the sand jeep, gifted me a cake for my birthday, and was just an overall cool guy. Thanks! Second, the location and accommodations. If you stay near Desert Star, there’s a lot of people and campsites - that area seems like a bit of a tourist funnel. This area is located in the REAL sand dunes area. Further North, you actually cross into Inner Mongolia. The separation and distance is worth it. Makes for brighter stars and a more authentic experience. Third, the food. They were able to coordinate a whole lamb to be roasted for my birthday. It was absolutely extraordinary. The sides for it were some of the best I had on the entire trip - they have some skilled chefs there. This place has great reviews, and it’s worth it. I do recommend this to foreigners, and I hope I can return one day.

The old saying that in real estate the ”three most important things are: location, location, location” also applies to hotels! The Shenhua hotel is in the heart of historic Yinchuan just a block from the drum tower and about two and a half blocks from the bell tower. Heading the opposite direction from the drum tower you are just a short walk from a night market with a variety of casual dining options. Heading just past the drum tower you get to a lovely broad pedestrian street with great shopping and restaurants. The Shenhua is a solid, comfortable hotel in a quiet neighborhood. The breakfast bar has options to please everyone. People matter, and the hotel staff does a great job addressing any questions or special needs a client might have. (Ma Xiao did an exceptional job of making me feel welcome at the hotel and helped me with a shipping need! Employees like that make a great difference!)

This is a good modern hotel that provides comfortable accommodations. The breakfast bar is great, and the hotel location provides easy access (by Didi or taxi) to the train and bus stations, as well as Guyuan's outstanding museum. Only problems were having to overcome receiving two room key cards (one of which stopped working after a day), problem with the standard wifi authorization (room number and name). The night latch was broken/ non-functional. That wasn't a big problem, but reveals poor attention to facility maintenance/repair. An oddity was that each elevator ride was punctuated by a loud noise that sounded like a dog's bark. I'm not sure what that noise reveals about the elevator mechanism. All options taken into account, I'd definitely consider staying in this hotel on any future visit to Guyuan.

I decided to go to Yinchuan on a whim during the May Day holiday. After comparing several hotels along the way, this was the only one in the same price range with the largest room. It had two floor-to-ceiling windows, making it very spacious and comfortable. However, because it's facing the street, there was some noise from passing vehicles. The soundproofing was slightly lacking; the elevator door opening sound was clearly audible. The sofa was very comfortable, suitable for both business and family use. It had a separate wet and dry area, a smart toilet, and was easy to use. The amenities were complete, but the ”Hisense Xiaoju” (a type of smart toilet seat) was a bit of a letdown; its performance wasn't as good as ”*du” or ”*ai” (another type of smart toilet seat), it was a bit slow to respond, and had fewer functions. The staff were very friendly, enthusiastic, and provided excellent service with a very quick and responsive attitude. The front desk had prepared disposable toilet seat covers and other basic supplies, making it convenient for guests to help themselves. It was very child-friendly; breakfast was served directly to children without tickets. It's very close to the Drum Tower, Jade Emperor Pavilion, a famous local snack shop, and Kemali snack shop, all within walking or cycling distance. There's also a bus stop right outside, which is very convenient. Of course, for family trips, it would be perfect if the hotel provided a couple more bottles of water!

A very artistic homestay with a very tasteful decoration style. Every decoration is just right, and even the breakfast is so exquisite. There were only two breakfasts originally, but we brought children with us, so the boss made a special breakfast for children, which was so thoughtful! There is also a beautiful souvenir. Although it was opened in 2018, the whole homestay does not seem to be old, and it is still as new. It is a great experience. I recommend it to friends!

Hotel location is good, the front desk and security guards are very hot and lazy. But I don't know why the restaurant service and hygiene are so poor. I got off at 8 o'clock in the morning and ate. When I arrived at the restaurant, I saw a mess on the meal, throwing plastic boxes and disposable chopsticks, and no one received tickets and checked cards. The two basins and porridge pots on the dining table were empty, and there was a little boiled eggs and oil rolls. I didn't see the plate. After listening to the security guard, it was an accident. There was no hot porridge for breakfast, and the restaurant was so poor. It was really bad and affected the mood.
