GGuest UserThe property is comprised of a small kitchen, with a worn non-stick pan and pot, and utensils, with two gas stoves, a worn small rice cooker, a microwave, and a minifridge. Worn means the non-stick coatings have been abused, which is typical of Indonesia, as no reads the instruction/care manuals of anything. The microwave vents are on its left side, and was positioned against the wall where the vents were blocked - relocating the microwave to the right side resolved this issue. The water gallon has a manual pump, and has to be relocated to occupy the stairs for use. There is no table for eating. The stairs has a low roof protrusion that you will hit your head on if not aware. There is a hidden door on the lower floor next to the kitchen to a cold-water shower and toilet, of which the wooden door is positioned next to the shower has smells of mold. The side of the kitchen bench is positioned adjacent to the window with a small uncovered gap, which there is signs it is impossible to clean. The TV was configured for headphone mode, which caused a static noise, I've changed it for speaker mode, and that has resolved the issue, and the TV looks and sounds great. There is also a fan and a couch on the lower floor.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with an elevated queen bed and with aircon that is quiet and cool, and the other room with a fan and two single mattresses, and there is an upstairs bathroom with toilet and shower. The shower upstairs water only lasts for 5 minutes, then requires what seems like a minimum 2 hour break - we don't know how much break it actually needs, as we only get hot water once for 5 minutes in the morning, and once for 5 minutes in the evening. We have tried to contact the property several times about this, and there has been no resolution, just responses to amount to ”adjust your expectations to not expect more hot water”.
Overall, the place has enough of a kitchen to cook and store food, is exceptionally tidy sans the poorly designed gap between the kitchen bench and the window, and sans the poorly designed wooden door next to the shower on the lower floor. However, there is no functional hot water if you are more than 1 person, of which multiple people are the target market of this property.

FFirzahardynOne of the good hotels to try. Because there are many strategic places that sell cheap food and sungi because the location is in the middle of housing. The weather is cool and there is also a swimming pool. Suitable for families and couples for weekends or long holidays

TtorinoyuThis hotel is super close to the Ijen volcano hiking trail entrance, just a 5-minute walk through a small path from the hotel's parking lot. Considering the price, environment, and accommodation, it's an excellent choice if you're planning a midnight hike.
Although they call it a hotel, it feels more like a glamping site. You can check in at a self-service kiosk, as there's essentially no lobby or front desk. You need the hotel's app, Bobobox, to unlock your room. Even though the reception mentioned the Android version is available for download, I couldn't find it. The owner does have WeChat, and you can communicate many things in English.
The environment is truly wonderful, giving you that feeling of camping in nature. On a clear day, the view is picturesque; on a cloudy day, it's misty and quite chilly.
The room is compact and well-designed. While there's no TV, everything else is pretty much covered. The bedside control panel integrates multiple functions: weather information, multi-color mood lighting, a 'magic glass' that switches between scenic views and ensures privacy with one tap, and sleep-aid music. You can also connect your phone via Bluetooth, which is very convenient. There are three-pin sockets, directly compatible with plugs from my country.
Bobomart offers food and snack sales, and the menu is quite varied. You can even order a self-service BBQ to enjoy in front of your room. However, be prepared for items to be out of stock, which is understandable given the limited conditions on the mountain. Breakfast is a savory and slightly sweet fried rice set, which was generally good. If you're coming back from a hike, everything tastes delicious.
Due to the same limitations, the water heater has a limited capacity. If multiple people are staying, you'll need to be mindful of your usage, otherwise, the waiting time for hot water can be a bit long.
The staff are all very friendly. You can ask them anything about Ijen volcano, and they're incredibly efficient in sorting things out. Getting to and from the hotel requires a private car; Grab is available but unreliable in Banyuwangi, and drivers often renegotiate the price after accepting the ride.

GGuest UserA really nice hotel, it feels like a more basic version of a Hanting Hotel – comfortable and secure. The surrounding neighborhood is also quite pretty and clean. There's a restaurant on the sixth floor where you can eat or order room service, and there's a 24-hour convenience store downstairs, which is super convenient.

GGuest UserThe facilities are quite uniquely designed, with individual small huts. The front desk staff helped with our luggage, so that wasn't an issue. However, the room itself was too small; we had a lot of luggage and literally had no space to move around.
The hygiene wasn't great; from 4 PM onwards, it was full of volcanic ash, though luckily, the room had an exhaust fan. The water quality was surprisingly good; my personal filter only showed a slight discoloration.
The breakfast was quite rich, and the view was exceptional.
Regarding the location, you have a direct view of the volcano during the day, perfect for drone photography, and you can see it clearly with the naked eye. It's also a short drive to the volcano in the morning, which is a big plus!
After coming down from the volcano at noon, sitting by the entrance, the sun wasn't too harsh, and the breeze was just right. It felt like sitting outside my grandmother's house when I was a child – very comfortable. That was my favorite part.
Overall, I recommend it!

The location is in the middle of the city near the campus, it is only located in an alley not a protocol road, the reception service is good, only the hotel technician's response to complaints about TV channels is lacking.
