Hotel 2-Star di Liguria, Italy

This was potentially the best customer service I have ever received at a hotel. Unfortunately, I missed the name of the woman who checked me in, but she was wonderfully warm and bubbly. She welcomed me to Vernazza, offered genuinely helpful advice that enhanced my visit, and remained exceptionally kind and attentive throughout my short stay. The room was small, as is common in the compact villages of the Cinque Terre, but it was comfortable, clean and excellent value for such a popular destination. The breakfast spread was also wonderful. The location could hardly be more convenient. The hotel is only moments from the railway station, which was particularly appreciated when arriving with luggage, while the village, walking trails, trains and boat services are all within easy reach. It was an ideal base for exploring the Cinque Terre by foot, rail and, of course, by boat. As one of Vernazza’s relatively few traditional hotels, Pensione Sorriso also offers visitors an opportunity to support a local hospitality business rather than staying in a holiday flat. In small and heavily visited communities such as this, I believe that is well worth considering. A welcoming, comfortable and memorable place to stay, made particularly special by the outstanding hospitality.

We stayed at Hotel San Desiderio for four nights, and everything exceeded our expectations. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring, making us feel as if we were staying in our own home rather than a hotel. Their warm hospitality made our trip even more special. The location is excellent, just a short walk from both the beach and the train station, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Our room was spotless and well maintained throughout our stay. We also loved the atmosphere of the hotel, which is beautifully decorated with photographs and paintings that give it a unique and artistic charm. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would highly recommend Hotel San Desiderio to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and authentic place to stay. We would be happy to return in the future.

The hotel is near Brignole Station, but I wouldn't recommend walking outside after dark. The hotel itself is in a creepy building, and you must take the elevator (very small and very creepy) to the reception. The room was nothing like the pictures. It was nice and smelled bad (not sure of what, I didn't want to find out). I was only there for 6 hours, as I was travelling further for the weekend and then back to Genoa. I didn't/wouldn't go back to that hotel.

This hotel I would recommend to anyone visiting Monterosso Al Mare. This has made our trip enjoyable and a delightful stay at Souvenir Hotel, although it take a little effort looking for it to begin with, but what was there a very pleasant surprise. Good gentle service, well appointed rooms and garden facilities, at Monterross A Mare would be difficult to find.

Overall the place is great, but watch out for hidden costs like the extra cleaning fee and a €100 security deposit. Communication about the deposit refund has been frustrating—it's been over a week and I still haven't received it, even though the host says they released it.

The service of this hotel is very family-oriented and the location is very convenient. The small room is very warm. The waiter is very enthusiastic, all things are tried to solve, the attitude is very good. Very familiar with the local area and there are also very good recommendations!

It is necessary to put 1 star for the service, because almost sat down trying to get to the hotel and absolutely do not understand the motivation of the administrator. The house is very specifically located between the hill, the hotel is on the fifth floor of the house, the entrance to the house is on the first floor and on the sixth floor on the back side (up the staircase), the navigator will surely lead you to the first floor (which is logical), There you will even see a button with the name of the hotel, but by pressing it you will not get the answer. Thanks to the joyful sequel of circumstances, two ladies came in, we walked in, climbed up to the 5th floor, and there was a code lock. To learn the code - you need to settle to settle - you need to know the code. Closed circle. I did not work in Italy by the Russian operator of communication, I didn't have the opportunity to call, thank God the husband remained 4% charging and he called on the door number, sorry only that nobody answered. And here we were lucky again and the door opened the family couple, thanks to which we finally got inside the hotel, where on the table already waited for an enquiry with my name and the keys to the door. After 10 minutes, the administrator called back and sent the instructions on how to get to the hotel, thank you, very in time. I believe that in such hotels - self-service it is necessary to send instructions in advance on the fact of booking, not on the fact of arrival, as travelers from the road may banally not have charge on the phone/internet/mobile communication. As for the hotel itself or more correctly to say the hostel - an amazing house with a parade atrium, which after passing all the original quests is admired, a clean cozy room, Very early departure (in my opinion until 10 a.m.) and phenomenal hearing, we in the room spoke whispering. I would stop here again because I have already solved all the mysteries of the settlement, but for an older, poorly speaking foreign language, or without a person's means of communication - it is very irrespective.

Convenient parking even though quite limited and narrow, an old style hotel, quite clean, but not recommended for heavy luggage travellers / seniors as they have no elevator to access upper floors

We stayed at the hotel for one night and then moved. Pros: location, spacious room, free coffee. Cons: very hot, no air conditioning, only a fan; small common area; the hotel is very old; strange manager - always yelling; but what was the cherry on the cake: when we came to get our bags, he said that we should leave the hotel immediately, because we were breaking the safety rules and disturbing other guests, we were creating a threat to them. ))) funny))

If you drive by car, let Trip.com call in advance to ask if you need to make an appointment for the parking space. You don’t need to reply. I said that there is no reservation and no parking space. I can park in the public parking lot. The hotel logo is not very obvious. The navigation shows that I have been looking for a long time. The front desk is more enthusiastic, but the English is not very good.
