I recently found myself in a pinch and needed a cheap motel room fast! I found Norwood Inn and suites in Roseville Minnesota through a quick google search. I was able to get a room for under $50 a night through Trip. To my surprise Norwood Inn and suites was a full functioning hotel with a pool, continental, breakfast, and modern amenities, comparable to any major hotel chain. We stayed at this charming old-style motel during a road trip through the USA with our kids, and it was exactly what we were looking for—nothing fancy, just a clean and comfortable place to rest for the night. The room was very clean and offered at a great price of $71, which is hard to beat. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated that they even had some basic necessities for sale, like a toothbrush, which saved the day when our son lost his the night before. There were a couple of minor issues—the heater in the bathroom was a bit rusty, likely due to its position near the tub where water collects, and the bathroom door lock didn't work. However, considering the overall cleanliness and the affordable price, these were small inconveniences that didn’t detract from our stay. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone in need of a clean, affordable room while on the road. Perfect for a one-night stay with the family!

Check in was ok... Although clerk stated they were full when we arrived after midnight and we had booked thru their Res Dept. Once she found out I was a diamond member she then changed her attitude! Pool is down due to some funk in the pool Breakfast was so so, eggs were very salty! Coffee should be available all day but they only have it during breakfast hours, however, they will give you packets for your room but no creamer so I need to run over to Walmart to grab some!

Staff were polite an respectful. Very welcoming. Would recommend. Rooms were nice and clean. An just overall a great experience. I didn’t get her name but that front desk lady should get a raise she was very sweet and kind.

Based solely on price to value, this would be 3.5 stars out of 5. Bedding, towels, and floor were clean, but the room smelled of decades of cigarette smoking. Opening the window and running the air helped. Continental breakfast is cereal, bread, or pancakes, but at least they had some sad-looking fruit. Front desk was friendly.

This hotel is very close to Mayo and St. Mary’s hospital. It’s about a mile from Mayo, but has shuttle service all day. You can walk to St. Mary’s if you choose. There are lots of restaurants walkable. The hotel is very clean, good breakfast area. Their breakfast times are longer than most others. The rooms were very clean and large. Daily the cleaning crew will come and change towels and trash unless you tell them not to. They are very accommodating to flexibility of your stay due to Dr appts. We were able to leave 2 days ahead of schedule with no issues. There is laundry, but they do not have a change machine or a dispenser to purchase detergent.

This is not the Taj Mahal but it has everything I needed for a short stay to see family. There is a TV, microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, and coffee maker in the room. The TV's are hi-def but the broadcasts are standard-def. I tried the coffee. It was terrible, but I did not mind! The pillows were nice. The small staff was cheery. I tried making waffles on my last day. The waffle batter was quite good, and I thought the breakfasts were satisfactory indeed. The location was convenient, and I just felt good about this place. It was quiet. Our parking space was near. And, finally, there is an indoor pool. I was happy to see that people were using it in high summer.
