Hotel 5-Star di North Sumatra, Indonesia

Grand City Hall Medan offers an elegant and memorable stay right in the heart of the city. The property combines classic sophistication with comfortable modern touches, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable, while the service is professional and attentive. Its central location makes it especially convenient for exploring Medan, whether for business or leisure. The overall ambience feels refined and relaxing, making it a great choice for a comfortable city getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality, convenience, and a touch of timeless elegance in Medan!

Everything was good except one, no one replied or responded to my request and I am asking for a simple decoration for my wife's birthday. No one read and responded. Do they know how to read requests from the customer through third party booking? I am quite disappointed. Anyway, thanks.

Excellent! It truly lives up to its reputation as the best in the area. The breakfast is plentiful, and it's undoubtedly the cleanest hotel in Medan. It was fantastic; the bed was made exceptionally well, and the water provided was good. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

I chose the Cambridge Hotel Medan for my business trip this time, and overall, it's an excellent four-star business hotel, perfect for business travelers and short trips. The experience far exceeded my expectations. The hotel's location is absolutely superb, situated in the heart of Medan's commercial district, directly connected to a large shopping mall. Downstairs, you'll find convenience stores, specialty restaurants, and coffee shops, making it incredibly easy to get around. Taxis to city attractions and transportation hubs are readily available, so you won't have to worry about getting around or shopping, which is especially convenient for visitors unfamiliar with the local area.

The views and facilities here are excellent. It definitely lives up to its reputation as one of Sumatra's top luxury hotels. It has its own private jetty, so you can travel directly to the hotel by boat from Samosir (make sure to use the Tiga Raja jetty; A****ta goes to a different location). The hotel is spotlessly clean, meeting Japanese standards of hygiene, and the staff's English proficiency and the hotel's cleanliness are arguably the best in Tuktuk. For a 5-star hotel, it's quite affordable from a Japanese perspective. However, after staying here, I'm left wondering if paying this price for a hotel in Tuktuk was really worth it. It's quite far from the central area of Tuktuk where most other hotels are located, which was a significant disappointment (it's about a 20-minute walk, and ride-sharing apps like Grab don't work here). Also, the hotel's optional services, such as the rooftop bar and transfers, are expensive for Indonesia (though perhaps this is expected for a luxury hotel). I came here to enjoy Lake Toba and Tuktuk, but aside from the views, I'm not sure I fully enjoyed the experience. Most other hotels in Tuktuk also have their own private jetties, and I wouldn't really recommend this place to those looking to experience and enjoy Indonesia. I probably won't stay here again.
