Location was a bit walking distance from waterfront. And the roads were under construction, it was not easy to access Uber or cabs. It was also the convention time, the hotel was packed. Breakfast hours were very noisy and food was soso. It would be a great location for business travelers to the convention centers. Staff were all very friendly and quick checking in and out. But besides the hotel, there was nothing nearby to do at night.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights at the start of our Garden Route/Safari holiday. We were received well by the reception staff and shown to our rooms, which were large and adequately furnished. We were on the 16th floor and had a great view of table mountain albeit through dirty windows! Breakfast was very nice and the one dinner we had at Copa restaurant was also good, however it was a little slow in coming despite the restaurant being quiet. We ate out the other 2 nights at local restaurants on Long Street. A member of the hotel staff accompanied us to these restaurants, which was a nice touch but not really necessary as we never felt threatened. The hotel is in the central business district and security is very tight in this area, however I don’t think I’d want to venture much further at night. We booked the Cape Point private guided tour prior to arriving, through the hotel website. Sammy, our guide for the day was absolutely fantastic. What he doesn’t know about the Cape isn’t worth knowing! Whilst he didn’t come up for air, we absorbed every fact he told us and despite a cost of £250 it was fantastic value for money. The hotel is ideally located for all the City sites and is just around the corner from the Big Red bus booking office on Long Street. All in all an enjoyable stay and great start to our South Africa adventure.

Views: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Room:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic stay at The Mount Knysna, which is a small, boutique hotel close to the viewpoint of the two heads. Staff are attentive and the hotel is homely. We were slightly early for check in which was accommodated without mention, and check out was smooth and efficient. Definitely do catch dinner at Second Story, and dig into the hotel’s very good South African wine cellar. We caught a movie at the in house movie theatre, with freshly popped popcorn, drinks and snacks. Breakfast every morning was such a treat too. The pool is heated with a spectacular view of the lagoon. Uber works well in Knysna but we hired a car, and the hotel has free parking. A quaint hotel with personal touches brought by the lovely staff!

We had a wonderful stay here. We arrived early and exhausted after 24 hours of travel and the manager Emma was so kind to us, finding us a room available to check in early and went above and beyond to fix an error on the booking (that I had made). We were given a high floor room so there really was no noise from the city. Great breakfasts, great pizza in the restaurant. Free transport to V&A waterfront which we used once. Short walking distance to the conference centre, or a $3 uber. I'd stay here again!

This hotel is in the centre of the CBD. It’s closer to many local amenities and long street. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a variety of options and the restaurant is open until very late at night and has local and international cuisines like Korean short rib and Vietnamese spring roll. The rooms are very clean and spacious. They have The Grotto Spa within the hotel which I highly recommend. I definitely would suggest you check it out if you plan to visit Cape Town.

I love 5 star hotels and have been to many and this one is one of the best especially the concierge was really helpful and helped me arrange all activities on my trip. It was a pleasure and breakfast was really good as well…

Our best meal yet here in Capetown for a 70th birthday celebration. The cool Greenhouse seating area is furnished luxuriously amongst calming tropical plants. Polite, friendly & attentive service from Nellie. The incredible food was exquisite, with so many different flavours. It was the best calamari I have ever eaten, so tender & delicious. We were unable to manage dessert sadly. Another time hopefully. This was a memorable experience & I cannot wait to return.

We stayed 5 night in a villa on the island. I certainly recommend the villas. Attentive, helpful, polite staff; high quality amenities - including high powerful hairdryer, candle, bath salts, shampoo, conditioner, pillow spray, robe, slippers, etc. Perfect structure of the room, spacious, beautifully decorated, every item working and silent; every night, one kind message or a special gift from the housekeeping staff . All these things help us relax and enjoy every moment. Delicious and complete breakfast. Good options of restaurants inside the hotel. Walking distance to the Waterfront shops and malls. The right place to be in Cape Town. Surely I will stay again and again. It definitely helped define the wonderful impression we had from Cape Town!

Outstanding service and luxury. The owners personally received and welcomed us. It was the most comfortable stay and bed in the whole time we were in South Africa. The electric blanket on the bed was a welcome touch and they are set up with back-up power and do not have power cuts. Highly recommended stay in Somerset and surrounds.
