Very good hotel with very friendly staff. We had a beautiful, big room. It was very clean and everything looked new. The bed and pillows where very good. It' s 10/15 minutes from Casco Viejo by foot. And a 15 minute drive to the airport. Would definitly book again.

We enjoyed our room which had a balcony although no seating. We did not notice noise from the busy street. The breakfast room had a lovely buffet and the bar area was cosy and enjoyable. Front desk staff were helpful in locating restaurants and showing us where everything was on a map. Our only downside was the parking stall designated to us was very, very tight for our rental vehicle. Overall we enjoyed the hotel.

L’accueil a été très long, plus d’une demi-heure pour traiter la réservation des personnes arrivées avant nous. L’hôtesse d'accueil, avec un t-shirt fortement taché, ne parle presque pas français, elle ne sait pas traiter les vouchers (abonnement B&B), elle semble perdue, souffle, elle est dépassée. Une fois sur place on nous annonce qu’il n’est pas possible de prendre le petit déjeuner sur place et la salle semble être en travaux (ce dont nous n’avons jamais été informé, ni en amont par mail ou lors de la réservation, ni sur place à l’arrivée). La chambre est très spacieuse, le lit très grand, il y a même des lumières d’ambiances et c'est assez agréable. Cependant cela ne permet pas d'oublier l’usure générale de la chambre. Quant à la salle de bain : la douche est très spacieuse mais il n’y a aucune pression dans le pommeau de douche, qui est lui même dans un état déplorable (tous les pics d'arrivée d'eau en plastique sont cassés et/ou moisis). Tout cela c’est sans parler de l’isolation des chambres qui est quasiment inexistante. Nous sommes déçus par notre nuitée.

The location is close to the airport which is convenient if you have an early flight to catch. OK car rental is at the same location. The reason we stayed at this hotel was because we had a rental car to return and early flight to catch. The breakfast was included. It worked out perfect!

The hotel is centrally located… close to Old Town, the beach and significant sights - all within comfortable walking distance. The breakfast buffet is more than sufficient and reasonably priced. The concierge and hotel staff are all very helpful and friendly. You don’t need more ; there is more than enough; and it is very comfortable.

The location is good if you have a car, is not close (walking distance) to the city, but at the same time really good location. Service is just fantastic, everyone was nice with us and welling to help if we asked for something. the Snack bar (cafeteria) staff is the best of the best, as well as the housekeeping staff. The only bad thing was the AC, we have no idea if it was ”warm” because the new ordinance or because something else, but unfortunately the hotel's location is so close to a highway, the room was quiet and good, but we try to sleep a little bit cooler, and with the window open was just imposible

We stayed here in April 2022. We were 2 adults and 1 child (aged 6) and we stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The location is fine. Although it's not right in the heart of the tourist area, it's a short walk to the main square and the distance didn't feel annoying or limiting. There are a couple of small supermarkets on the same street as the apartments (one directly underneath) which means you can get supplies for your stay. Parking is onsite and although I'd booked this as part of my stay, it hadn't come up on the App and I needed to contact them before I'd even arrived to clarify how to access the car park. Cue using the Libere App to ”talk” with a customer service rep. I was also sure that I'd added the discount code to my reservation but this wasn't applied, and they wouldn't honour it. *Everything* is done electronically, through their App. In theory, this should make things quick and efficient but without a proper reception, the experience felt cold and clunky. We ended up having to contact ”reception” again as our room was not made up with bedding or towels for our son. Then, the bedding which was provided was dirty, the second attempt was also dirty (I know, unbelievable!) and housekeeping managed to get it right on the third attempt. The room itself was great: modern and spacious with brand new equipment in the kitchen. Apart from the issues with the bedding, the room was immaculately clean. Check out was also annoying. We were to be out of our room at 11am. We checked out of our room and made our way to the carpark. It was around 11.07am and between leaving our room and trying to get into the carpark, our entry code expired and we were stuck in a corridor. Again, I had to contact the staff via the clunky App to get a new code to access the carpark. Just annoying. Overall, we were disappointed with our stay at Libere. It was a great space in a decent enough location, but the electronic service system just didn't work. It was all just a bit niggly. We wouldn't stay here again.

Escogimos este hotel para nuestra escapada express a Donosti en alojamiento y desayuno y nos ha encantado! La habitación es muy bonita, moderna, bien equipada, las camas COMODISIMAS, una ducha acristalada muy chula, las toallas muy suaves y absorbentes, secador de pelo ”real” (no el tubo ese sin potencia que suelen ofrecer otros hoteles), con un cartelito en el que se indica que si necesitas plancha alosadora, o cualquier ”ameniti” te lo proporcionan en recepción sin coste adicional. El personal super amable, bien comunicado y con un gran parking. El desayuno no demasiado variado pero es muy completo y de gran calidad. El zumo de naranja es recién exprimido de la máquina (no es de polvitos) y el jamón serrano era ibérico. También ofrecían leche de avena, que en pocos sitios la tienen y me pareció un puntazo. La cafetera a pesar de ser de cápsulas ofrece un café muy rico sin ser el ”aguachirri” que te sueles encontrar en los hoteles. Personalmente nos encantó. Nos dejaron dos postales y una nota de bienvenida con una botella de agua .Lo recomendamos y si volvemos a Donosti no dudaremos en repetir.

The hotel surpassed our expectation, very pleasant stay, the service is unbearable especially the breakfast, talent made most of the items, personal touch which is hard to find these days elsewhere. Very new and chic design, small and feels home away from home. Definitely will come back again when we visit the city!

Para una noche nada más. No hay armario, solo un par de perchas incómodas en una pared. La cama bien. El baño bien pero el lavabo diminuto e incómodo. Buenas vistas desde la ventana. El aparcamiento cuesta 10€ pero, hay aparcamientos cerca gratuitos. Son 10€ por perro y noche (no por estancia). Llegamos de noche con reserva, muy cansados, y tuvimos que esperar 10 minutos a que gestionara todo en el ordenador. Por fin nos asigna una habitación y cuando abrimos...estaba usada y tuvimos que bajar a pedir otra.

Hotel perfecto para recorrerte el País Vasco. Buena calidad y buen precio. Fuimos 3 amigas para una estancia de 4 días. La habitación super limpia, y el personal muy atento y amable. Especialmente el Director, Jose, pendiente a que todo estuviera bien y el recepcionista, Jose Ángel, dándonos indicaciones de adónde ir, recomendaciones etc. Lo recomendaría sin duda tanto para unos días en Bilbao como para recorrer el País Vasco ya que la autovía está al lado y es super cómodo dejar el coche allí. Repetiremos seguro. Gracias al personal.

La Estrella Ostatu is very well situated in the old town of Bilbao. 2 minutes from the Casco Viejo train and metro station, 5 minutes from the Abando station, close to the Ribera market and not far away from the city center. Rooms are cheap, clean and good, but unfortunately a bit noisy. Not the noise from the street but from other rooms. Breakfast is good and costs only 4 euros. Friendly staff.

Bare in mind the will not provide shampoo neither shower gel. The check in should be done before 6pm, so make sure you arrive on time. Location is fine, subway station and tram is nearby.

El hotel está súper bien situado, lo mejor sin duda es el personal especialmente Mercedes. El desayuno muy completo y con unos horarios estupendos. Si tuviera que volver repetiría.

We stayed one night in this hotel on the way to the Ferry to Ireland. There is secure underground parking (at extra cost) which we found useful. However, we were disappointed when, having arrived at 3.45 pm in Bilbao after an 8 hour drive in 30 degrees+ we were told that there was no facility for any drinks or refreshments in the Hotel and that such facilities would not be available until 7.30pm. We were further disappointed to find that when we came for breakfast the following morning, there was no coffee, bread or other basic food. We had to ask a member of staff to obtain some basic provisions for breakfast which seemed to confuse him. We noticed that at least four other guests who came after us also had little to eat. We gained the impression (right or wrong) that the hotel is not geared to accommodating foreign guests as after an initial early breakfast rush there seemed little interest in guests coming later. We particularly noted the lack of staff on the ground and everything seemed to be the responsibility of one staff member.

Best possible hotel in Casco Viejo,Bilbao. Best location and even better staff. Our 10th time in this hotel. Feels like you are visiting your best friends. Everything is near,like Plaza Nueva. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We keep coming back again and again. Just cant figure out anything negative.

Tuvimos un fallo de localización y finalmente reservamos en la vieja en vez de libere Ledesma que es donde queríamos en un principio, cuando nos dimos cuenta era ya tarde , llamamos al sitio lo comentamos y una chica nos comentó que era ya tarde y no podían solucionar nada pero que al día siguiente intentarían solucionar ya que habíamos reservado a través de booking y no de ellos. Entonces decimos reservar donde queríamos y dejamos pasar el día siguiente y ya preguntamos y otra chica nos dijo que no que no había solución , entonces llame a booking y para solucionar algo ya que es un dinero y nose alguna solución quería conseguir ya que habíamos reservado en la misma empresa digo nose … algo tiene que haber !!! Y de booking me dicen que por parte de ellos no habría problema que es parte del sitio y entonces la empresa libere me contesta al mensaje y pone que no hay solución alguna que no es error de la empresa y que no había solución ninguna . Creo que algún tipo de solución aunque no sea culpa de ellos … pero nose reservamos con ellos también no queríamos el dinero pero algo nose seguimos de viaje podría haber tenido alguna solución que nos quedásemos contentos los dos .

Best located small hotel ever. Next to tram and bus stops or 10 mins walk to Casco Viejo metro and old town with hot spot for scores of bars & restaurants. Quiet, very clean hotel, in good condition. Excellent bed-linen & towels. Comfortable bed. Decent sized room. Good shower. Air con in room. Housekeeping excellent, staff very helpful & friendly, multiple languages spoken. Hotel's car park first come first served. You may find free street parking or get plenty of pay-parking available close by. Not a big issue. Reception very helpful for parking.
