L’hôtel santa holidays village est super pour les familles. Attention aux réservation que vous faites sur Trip, on a réservé un chalet pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants, arrivés pour le Check-in on nous dit que Trip a réservé uniquement pour deux adultes et donc les enfants doivent être payés en extras. Ce n’est pas sérieux pour TRIP de ne pas communiquer le vrai tarif dès la réservation. Ce site manque de transparence( il note juste une remarque disant que des frais supplémentaires peuvent être facturés par l’hôtel pour les enfants sans vous dire combien et surtout sans vous dire qu’il ont réservé uniquement pour deux personnes ). Donc le pire c’est d’avoir une chambre qui n’est même pas adapté pour une famille. A santa claus on a dû payé 30€/nuit par enfant( heureusement on avait réservé un chalet donc suffisamment grand pour 4). Nous avons eu la même expérience dans un autre hôtel sur la même période (apukka resort ) qui nous a facturé 100€ par nuit et par enfant dans un igloo, heureusement que l’igloo qui nous ont attribué pouvait accueillir 2 enfants autrement on aurait été sans possibilité de nous héberger à 4.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the centre, it's a basic hotel which is clean, tidy and comfortable. Breakfast is more continental with 3 hot item available. The only downside to the hotel is their is no safe in the rooms so had to carry all personal items laptop, money, passport etc around with me all the time. The hotel did offer to put item in their own safe but decided against it. It didn't put me off staying here again and would return.

The room offered sufficient space, the bathroom was clean and looked new. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a large variety of food and drinks. The sauna is also very recommandable. The location is central. There is a shopping mall just across the street, local and long distance bus stops are nearby. Personnel was very friendly and supportive.

Staffs are kind and good at English so I didn't have any difficulty of communication. I recommend to buy a spa included ticket and enjoy the Finnish sauna. For the foods, you have to pay for the dinner buffet but the quality is really good. It was worth every penny. There was nothing inconvenient at all. If I had to pick one, there were no amenities in the bathroom only except soap.

Apenas quatro ganchos na parede não eram suficientes para manter as roupas organizadas, resultando em uma desordem constante no quarto. Conclusão: Embora a localização do Hotel Santa Claus seja ideal, as falhas na organização do pequeno almoço, na limpeza e nas acomodações dos quartos comprometem a experiência de estadia. Recomendaria aos gestores do hotel uma revisão nestes aspectos para garantir que futuros hóspedes tenham uma experiência mais agradável e confortável.

Very friendly and helpfull service, great location in the middle of Ivalo. And very comfy overall. We were allowed to check in over 2 h early after a very stressfull flight and check out a hour late without additional charge. The room was comfy and big with a great view. Breakfast could be better but the dinner was always great.

We stayed at Arctic City Hotel on mid-March for 3 nights. Our room was a style double room on the 3rd floor with street view. The hotel's location, at the very center of Rovaniemi, is undoubtedly great. Everything one might need was in walking distance. All tour operators, shopping centers, restaurants, cafe, supermarkets and bus stations (including the bus station for Santa's Village) were literally on your doorstep. Even the central railway station, the interurban bus station and the Arcticum were just 10min away on foot even with snow. You could even walk to the observation tower of the Ounasvaara Fell, following a great path through the snowy forest (aprox. 30 min). The room was clean and warm, not too large but comfortable for a couple, with a quite comfortable bed and an interesting deco. However, the bathroom was not spacious and the shower tube was tiny. Moreover, the shower glass panels should be replaced or better set-up since the floor got soaking wet when we had a shower. The breakfast was very tasty, with plenty of food and very well served in the hotel's quite cozy restaurant. The staff was super friendly and super helpful, both in the reception and the restaurant! To sum up, the owners of this hotel should consider some refurbishment of the rooms and definitely the bathrooms, in order to meet one's expectations from a 4-star hotel and for a better value-for-money rate. Its great pros are the location, the staff and the breakfast. Despite the small bathroom, we really enjoyed our stay there and we would visit this hotel again.

We booked on booking.com, but when we arrived to check in we were told our room had been double booked and we were being downgraded. We had originally booked the room with private sauna, so were very disappointed that we did not have this facility, particularly as the communal sauna is only open for around 3 hours per day and we had an activity booked the same time so could not use it at all. The location is stunning and we had fun walking the various trails from the hotel. We had two activities booked which both collected from the hotel, but otherwise we had to get taxis to and from the town centre as there is no public transport to the hotel. Taxis cost around €20 each way, and reception can book them for you. Room was nice, but the light switches were quite difficult to use. We were also a bit cold and could not see a way to up the temperature. The bath was lovely, and came with bubble bath, robes and slippers which we made use of. Our view was of a car park, so that was not great. Breakfast was amazing, lovely views and they even had honey on the comb. You have to book the restaurant in advance, or make alternative plans (but keep in mind there are not really any other options around the hotel). Staff were friendly.

À l’hôtel, les animateurs sont au petit soin pour vous ainsi que les employés de l’hôtel ! Les chambres sont propres et agréables avec en prime le chauffage au sol dans la salle de bain !!! Je recommande les yeux fermés !

We booked this penthouse to have a nice weekend and enjoy beautiful view from the balcony. We carefully selected a very nice stay among all possible stays in Swedish Lapland and Finnish Lapland region reading all reviews and making a long research for a high-quality leisure stay. Instead we were forced to listen to around 9 hours of very loud unbearable rock through the whole evening. From 15:30-01 :00 90DB noise for 9 hours (harmful for health) 90 decibels is a high noise level, equivalent to the noise generated by a leaf blower or the sound level of a concert. Compared to 80 dB, 90 dB is 10 times more intense and twice as loud. Whenever you are exposed to this noise level, you should wear hearing protection. One could hear music even in the sauna. After two hours of nonstop noise and starting headache I contacted the host about full refund I got an answer that there is a festival just outside the building. Here is what I got as a reply: ”Is the music coming from outside? There is Santa open air music festival in the park by the riverside going thru the weekend.” Since host did not solve the problem I had to call to San Francisco USA airbnb support to solve the problem. Next reply from host was not apology and problem solving too. It was: ”This is a public outdoor event which have been promoted by the city of Rovaniemi. So it’s a well-known event, which attracts a lot of attention and visitors. We don’t ask our guests why they come to Rovaniemi. I can assume that many of our other guests come specifically because of this festival.” ”You cannot expect us to repost information about all public events in Rovaniemi.” I would not have booked this stay if I would have known that there is a very loud music in the whole apartment all night long non-stop. I do not know if anyone would. Since the attitude towards guest is so ignoring - I do not recommend this host. After getting in touch with Airbnb support I had a message from the host where the host offered second night instead of 82% refund (we would simply go home from that airbnb, the apartment was untouched yet). I accepted the night just to stop stressing. After listening to many hours of loud terrible noise I had a bad head-ache and a bad sleep. I would love to go home and regret making a booking. *it took us 1 hour to find parking outside before we checked-in. We parked on the river shore. Cleanlyness big minus: around toilet all walls in urine, dust on window floors and corners (non-professional cleaning) Hospitality non-professional. Host is interested in getting money, not in providing a nice and responsible service.

Perfect stay! Arrived on my own and was collected promptly at the airport - was offered to stop at Lidl on the way to collect some groceries. The apartment is really spacious and super warm! The sauna is great; gets up to around 85-90°C. The apartment is located about a 10 minute drive from the city centre or Santa's Village. There is shopping about a 3-4 minute drive. Unless you've rented a car, I would suggest using the offered taxi service which is run by the company. Kitchen has everything you'd need; microwave, hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer. My only suggestion would be a couple more towels because between showers and saunas, you'd be finished with them very quickly!

The place is absolutely beautiful, only few steps from Ounasvaara Ski Resort. The Chalet was really good and cosy with amazing views from the windows and balcony. Our private Chalet had a second bedroom which we didn’t use as my daughter and myself preferred the first floor. We loved having our own sauna in the bathroom, great addition to relax and we enjoyed it sooo much! Breakfast was excellent with great selection, we loved the waffle maker! Staff were all helpful and pleasant. Location is excellent, not far from the airport, city centre, and Santa Claus Village. Overall, perfect Chalet, we would definitely recommend staying here, we had a great time!

You won’t be disappointed at the Aurora village restaurant, the lunch buffet is value for money and the set menu for dinner is worth travelling all the way there for. No bookings are needed for lunch but must book for dinner especially during the Christmas holidays. I recommend you take the second seating as an excuse to have a Glogi or a bubbly with winter berries by their fire place. Wonderful place to relax and absorb the warm cosy atmosphere. You can request food requirements such as no eggs or no nuts in advance. Menu for the week is online. Hyvää ruokahalua!

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 3 nights early December as part of the TUI package to Lapland. On-route to the hotel we stopped off to get our winter gear. Transfer around 1hour 30mins. The resort of Luosto has a few hotels, ski slope, souvenir shops and reasonable priced supermarket. The average cost for a glass of wine and beer is £10+ . Room: Very spacious, we had a double bed and sofa bed in another room. Sauna was an added bonus. If you wanted any housekeeping you just had to ask at the front desk. We stored our snow gear in the ground floor heated room which was handy. Location: The hotel was just a 5 minute walk to the ski slope. As a family of 3 we all had a 45 minute lesson for around £130. This is where you can also sledge and go tubing this cost us 20 euros for as long as you liked. I highly recommend this it was so much fun. There is also a nice restaurant/bar here. Staff: I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff who were always helpful and friendly. Also small bar area and nice seats by the log fire. Restaurant: Lovely restaurant area and friendly staff. We were half board breakfast was a continental option with lots of choice including porridge. We were half board and the food was fresh and delicious. We didn’t have a choice it was just a set 3 course but luckily we are not fussy eaters. We were a bit disappointed that there was no children’s menu as there was no way my son would eat reindeer or fish soup. So we had a takeaway from a lovely restaurant just down the road called Puna Kettu. Here you could have lovely pizzas and fries. Trips: We had the taster sessions on the Saturday where you have a try of the reindeer ride, husky, snow mobile - I would say just around a few minutes but sometimes that is enough for the younger ones. This day was around -20 but lovely cabins to have a hot chocolate and warm up by the fire. When we went to see Santa this lasted under 60 seconds wasn’t personal and he looked very fake. So that aspect of it was very disappointing. We paid extra for the night snow mobile tour which was 3 hours. We stopped off in a hut half way through the journey to light a fire and to have berry juice. We are so glad we done the trip as we were so lucky to see the Northern Lights. We also paid for the husky ride which was 2 hours, this was a great trip again where you have the chance to meet the dogs and drive the sled. Again these were cold days around -20. On the return home we stopped off in Santa Village, lots of souvenir shops. I have rated the hotel a 4* due to there being no child menu at the hotel. I think they should offer fries at least as guests at the other hotels had a separate menu for children. We would love to return to Lapland but unfortunately it cost so much money. It was something we are so glad we experienced and created so many memories, such a beautiful and picturesque place. You will not be disappointed going to this hotel and it comes highly recommended. Thank you for making this once in a lifetime so amazing. We went here to take my son to go and see Santa through Jet2 this trip was excellent and something as a family we will never forget. This hotel is brilliant and positioned in a lovely area. Maybe could do with a little bit if a update with new carpet and maybe a paint job but nothing that will effect your holiday. Tv is also poor but as so active didn’t really miss it what I mean would he nice to have one English Channel considering I say most your visitors are English. Also could do with the beer being a bit cheaper as worked out nearly £9 a pint but I was expecting that. All these are little things that may improve overall you still get a 5 star from me. Must also mention all staff very friendly. Wouldn’t think twice about coming back one day in the future.
