I recently stayed at the Palace Hotel & Spa in Buxton and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The service was excellent, with friendly, professional, and attentive staff who made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Every member of the team was helpful and eager to ensure that everything was perfect. The hotel facilities were impressive. The spa and leisure areas were clean, relaxing, and well maintained, providing the perfect place to unwind. The hotel itself is beautiful, with comfortable rooms and a pleasant atmosphere that made my stay even more enjoyable. The food was also outstanding. Breakfast offered a great variety of options, all fresh and delicious, and the meals served throughout my stay were of a high standard. The restaurant staff were attentive, and the dining experience was excellent. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend the Palace Hotel & Spa to anyone visiting Buxton. The combination of exceptional service, excellent facilities, and delicious food made for a memorable and enjoyable visit. I look forward to returning in the future.

Best Western Plus Buxton Hotel Stayed here for one night during my Peak District trip. The hotel is very well located, right in the centre of Buxton and close to the Pavilion Gardens, bus stops, and walking routes. The room was clean, comfortable, and warm — perfect after a long day of hiking. Staff were polite and helpful, and the overall experience was smooth and hassle-free. A solid choice if you’re exploring Buxton and the Peak District using public transport.

We stayed for 1 night for a special occasion. On arrival we were told that the spa was closed for an event which was very disappointing as I booked this hotel because of the spa & had planned to use the pool & sauna. This should gave been communicated at the time of booking. The building and grounds were impressive but on arrival our featured superior room was freezing cold. The reception turned on the heating at our request but this should have been done hours before our arrival given that it was 8 degrees outside. We sat for an hour in the room with our coats on before asking for a portable heater due to the radiators being only lukewarm. The room never really got warm & when we came back from dinner at 9.15 the heating had been turned off again & we had to ask for it to be turned on again. The food in the restaurant was very good & the servers were lovely but unorganised. We planned to have a drink in the hotel bar but it was so cold that it was empty and not comfortable to stay. I heard kore than one staff member complain about the cold in the hotel. What could have been a very pleasant stay was spoiled by the cold. Unfortunately, we will not return.

An excellent short stay in this B&B situated above a tea room in the village of Bonsall. Check-in is a small window of 2 hours between 2 and 4 pm but it does state that you can organise late check-in if you are stuck. Best to avoid the area around the Heights of Abraham when traveling in at the weekend as it gets very busy. We were there just to check out the area for walking and it suited our needs perfectly. The owner greeted us and made sure we settled in and as a bonus, the tea room was still open to allow us to sample their delicious cakes before unpacking. We went to the Kings Head pub for dinner which is a 3-minute walk up the hill and I must say it was a good choice. Another place with great hospitality with a mix of locals and visitors but more importantly good honest grub. Breakfast was probably one of the best we have ever had at a B&B it was plentiful and there was no compromise on quality, perfect to fuel us for another day on the hills. Thank you for hosting us and giving us good value for money in an excellent location to explore the Peak District National Park.

Honestly, all the hotels in this small town are close to the attractions, but Crescent really is in the heart of it. The breakfast is good; try to go early to beat the crowd, definitely don't miss it. I found two blonde hairs in the room, but overall, the cleanliness was acceptable. I accidentally pulled the emergency alarm in the bathroom, but no one came to assist for over 8 minutes. I had to go to the front desk myself to ask a staff member to turn it off. If you're traveling with elderly people, please keep this in mind. Also, I highly recommend paying extra to use the spa facilities; otherwise, staying at this hotel wouldn't make much sense, as guests don't have access to the pool. Unfortunately, the Roman-style baths in the basement were under maintenance when I visited, and the indoor baths on the second floor were too stuffy, while the outdoor baths were so windy it gave me a headache.

Invincible satisfaction, this is the most cost-effective hotel I have stayed in the UK, although it is very convenient to eat in the restaurant on the first floor near the manor. The front desk of the hotel is also warm and the dinner tastes good. There is also a RV base next to the hotel. If you get off from Sheffield and take 218 back to Darcy Manor and then transfer to 6.1 Bus for seven minutes, follow the navigation positioning positioning. Remember to continue to walk forward for a few minutes and cross a small bridge. Navigation is not accurate. The local bus is no different from the taxi. I originally took a taxi to the hotel and found that Uber 138 pounds was not cost-effective and it was OK to take the car directly. The scenery along the way is particularly beautiful, and it is also a good journey experience ～

We chose Wildes Inn as it is conveniently located just 4 minutes from Bolsover Hospital, where our mother was due to have full knee surgery. We wanted her to be well rested and comfortable, and the Inn truly delivered. The staff were very friendly, and we were greeted straight away by a young, polite gentleman who made check-in smooth and stress-free. The lobby smelled wonderful and had a spa-like, relaxing atmosphere. The team were also very thoughtful, knowing the reason for our stay, they even offered to arrange takeaway breakfast for us. We booked an accessible room for our mother, which was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was great too. Overall, we were very satisfied with the entire experience. Our mother was well rested and ready for her surgery. If we pass through again, I would love to try the spa treatments, they certainly look very appealing.

Booked this hotel as we were attending women’s football at Derby Pride Park.  We used the NCP car park which was only. 5min walk.  All the staff were smart, well mannered and helpful.  The room was a good size and were surprised to have a full sized bath as well as a powerful shower.  Fantastic breakfast selection where all food was replenished as soon as it was getting low. The only negatives for us was the fact we found some rubbish near the bed along with evidence of dust, one of the bed sheets was torn and one of the bedside wall lamp units was hanging off the wall but still functional. Overall a really lovely hotel  and ideally situated for the football stadium as well as taking in the local sites/ shopping centre (straight over the road)

Disappointed that the pool wasn’t available due to refurbishment and was not advised of this in advance. Gym had everything you needed and sauna and steam room still open. Also the restaurant was closed and only a limited menu served in the bar was available. Having said this, they made a real effort to make some tables in the bar look special with tablecloths and candles and the food we had was delicious and well presented. Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive. Room was spacious with a comfy bed. Breakfast was typical buffet with hot & cold offerings. Smoked salmon was lovely touch! Would definitely stay here again. Great value for money!

Stayed for two nights in this beautiful country hotel. A very warm welcome on arrival and then shown to a beautiful large room, The Kedleston. It had everything you could wish for and a very comfortable bed. I was staying to visit relatives nearby but it would make an excellent base for exploring the area. Kedleston Hall, National Trust is on the doorstep and a must to visit. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, I didn’t eat in the evenings but the menu looked really good and if breakfast was anything to go on it will be fabulous. I will definitely return to stay and also take my family to the restaurant. Thank you to all your excellent staff for a very enjoyable stay.
