Hotel di Oaxaca
The Hotel Cantera Real provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Hotel Cantera Real is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Oaxaca. The hotel is just 7km away from Oaxaca International Airport. Keeping busy is easy, with Oaxaca Lending Library, FONOTECA EDUARDO MATA and Museo Filatelia all nearby. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. According to our trusted guests, the facilities at this hotel are first-rate.
"Loved the hotel's location. Facilities were great, and they also have parking inside the building ---a plus.
The food was really good, especially the steaks, which were well-cooked! All the staff were great, very courteous and respectful."

Very Good
HHugh057On the whole it was a good experience. However I have been to this hotel several times but this time the food and restaurant service really disappointed me. The beach restaurant was not coping and in two separate occasions I had to wait over 1 hour to get served. They delivered the food as it came out of the kitchen and everyone had their meals at different times. On the second occasion, I waited for an hour and a half to get served very expensive lettuce with some fish. Even though the restaurant was almost empty. The staff should be honest and tell people they cannot cope for whatever reason and let customers go somewhere else. The staff just shrugged their shoulders when I raised my request of food. Perhaps this is the time to look for other hotels in the area.

Great
GGuest UserVery friendly staff all around and most can speak a little English so language has not been a problem. Room is nice and big with big comfy bed. However I did find the walls/doors not very sound proof. If you had a very loud talking neighbor, you can hear the conversation clearly. I find the food and drinks just fine unlike some of the reviews. Typical all inclusive food fanfare. Remeber, this is not Michelin or 5 star resort, so adjust expectation accordingly. There are nightly shows at the sister hotel 6 mins walk away. Again adjust expectations accordingly and you'll have a good time

Very Good
GGuest UserMy wife and I have stayed here before and have always been very happy with the hotel. The beach, bars, and restaurants are delightful and the service excellent. You may have to wait in line for breakfast if you go at peak times, so it's best to go either before or after the busy period. Some of the furniture is looking a bit dated now, and one of our sliding wardrobe mirrors was badly tarnished, but this is a minor point. Overall, the common areas are well maintained and there are plenty of staff to help with whatever you need. We will certainly be back.

Very Good
VVisitor from PVThe hotel can best be described as ‘funky.’ It is NOT a luxury hotel but does charge luxury hotel prices. Rooms are small. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom and shower were small with hardly any counter space. Room lighting is dark.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pool is tiny and unheated. Restaurant is not handicap accessible. Free breakfast was OK. Road construction and teacher demonstration encampments made pickups at the hotel impossible. No one told us this prior. Would not stay here again.

GGernieA very nice hotel with an awesome price value ratio. They also have a free shuttle every 30 minutes to their own beach club with a great restaurant and a very beautiful beach. Well come back for sure.

GGuest UserA great location in a hotel which is well run. Everything we have needed has been done professionally and the facilities at the hotel are a good standard. The pool area is really nice
Before staying we read several reviews about problems with noise. This very much depends on the location of the room you have. Ours has been peaceful and comfortable

Amazing
GGuest UserThe location was spectacular, away from the tourists area. Is a boutique and private hotel with personalize attention. The facilities are amazing and the restaurant is run by an awarded chef Luis García. Great place to spent some days of relax and just enjoy the sea with great food.
