Hotel 4-Star di Pest, Hungary

I booked this hotel quite a while ago and stayed for 4 nights. The location was good, not right in the city center, but with a bus stop and tram stop just nearby. The room was spacious, had AC, and the breakfast was quite good. Overall, good value for money. There was a bit of noise, but with earplugs and an eye mask, it was fine. One thing, though, one of the breakfast ladies seemed to enjoy keeping a close eye on guests while they were eating, which for me took away from that relaxed vacation vibe. I understand this might just be her way of doing her job, but on the second morning, she told me that if I took a banana out, I’d be charged for an extra breakfast. I found that pretty amusing and told her I’d just finish it there. But I couldn’t help thinking if I were to eat it while walking out, how would that be counted? Even more interestingly, the next morning a different breakfast lady was on duty, and she was very nice, we saw another guest take an apple right in front of her and leave, so clearly there was no actual policy about charging guests extra for that. Especially since we were just 2 women who didn’t eat that much, and after traveling in Europe for dozens of days, we’d never encountered such treatment before. All in all, a rather curious experience.

Hotel had everything we needed and the staffs were really nice! It is also very near a metro station, supermarket, and good food. Only down side is that the carpet is slightly stained (might be hard to maintain), otherwise all other facilities was really clean and nice. Also note that it might not be for light sleepers as the road sounds are loud and every hour you’ll get big honking/sirens wailing.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and I am truly impressed by the overall experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. The check-in process was smooth and professional, which made a great first impression. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day, and I really appreciated the attention to detail. The bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere was quiet, which allowed me to rest very well.

Hotel is located less than 10 minutes from the airport. Ideal if you have an earlier flight. The stay are all very friendly and the service is good. Restaurant food is good. The gym is very small and not a lot of machines however, they do still have one. Rooms are also spacious. The cleaning is done early and that part was a little noisy. The cleaner kept hitting the door with the vacuum.

Overall, our stay at the Mercure Budapest Castle Hill Hotel was okay as there were some areas that could be improved. The hotel front area had a warm and inviting ambience, which was nice. Upon arrival, we requested a top-floor room, but the staff recommended keeping our current room as it offered a better view. We appreciated their insight and decided to stay where we were. The hotel’s location was decent—about a 20–30 minute walk to the city area, making it manageable. The bedroom itself was spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room to relax. However, the bathroom and toilet were quite small, which made them feel a bit cramped. Additionally, while the room was clean, the bathroom was less so. We noticed hair left behind, and there was little to no body wash gel provided. The towels were dirty upon arrival, requiring us to request new ones on the first day. One frustrating experience was with the housekeeping staff. On our second morning, we wanted to sleep in, but were interrupted twice—once at 10 AM and again at 11 AM—by a cleaner knocking to check when we would be leaving. When I confirmed that the checkout time was indeed 12 noon, I didn’t understand why they felt the need to rush us out. It felt unnecessary and a bit intrusive. Despite these issues, our stay was generally fine. If the hotel could improve housekeeping efficiency, ensure cleaner bathrooms and amenities, and provide a bit more space in the bathroom area, it would be an even better experience.

Badiliq hotel overall was very enjoyable. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated lobby and friendly staff who thoroughly explained everything about the hotel and the surrounding area. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed. If anything was missing, we could always request it at reception (such as bathrobes, slippers, toiletries). We stayed as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) in a junior suite, which was conveniently divided into two sections. The room had a fridge, espresso machine, and kettle. Housekeeping was done daily. Breakfasts were delicious and filling. Even though we stayed during the peak winter season, there was always enough space in the dining area, and the food was promptly replenished by the restaurant staff. We arrived before the official check-in time, and although no room was yet available, the receptionist kindly offered us to wait in the lounge where light snacks, juices, tea, and freshly ground coffee were provided. We could also store our luggage in the luggage room and explore the nearby attractions — the hotel is very well located with many sights within walking distance. The only downside during our stay was a temporary hot water outage for a few hours, but we were informed about it in advance. The staff were extremely polite and helpful with any requests, always accommodating. They even allowed us a late check-out, which, as we learned, is quite rare in Budapest.

A nice experience. I was there for two nights. The first night I could not sleep because there was a strange noise outside in the courtyard area. I asked to be moved to a quieter room for the second night, which was very quiet. The reception staff were very helpful with the move. The hotel is very close to the beautiful New York cafe and on the Big Bus route so handy for sight seeing. I would stay there again. As a lone traveller, I felt safe there. The bathroom was spotless.

The best hotel we've been stayed during our summer trip. The hotel was equipped with full set of kitchen including a coffee machine, with a washing machine (you may ask for washing detergent at the reception). There's an independent room with a king-sized bed. Although the sofa bed in the dining room is a bit soft, it fit my two sons. The location of the hotel is close to two metro stations, one is within 5 minutes by walk and the other is less than 10 minutes by walk. There's a supermarket at one of the two metro stations. The reception is friendly and there're free apples available on the reception desk. 酒店配有全套厨房设施，包含一个胶囊咖啡机。配有全自动洗衣机，洗衣球可以问前台要。 4人间有一个单独的房间，配有双人床；客厅里的双人沙发床虽然有点软，但睡两个小孩没问题。 酒店位置很好，旁边有两条地铁线，一条5分钟内的走路路程，另外一条稍微远点，不超过 10分钟。 前台有免费的苹果可以拿。 总之，这个酒店很适合家庭入住，强烈推荐。

Hotel taman diraja Budapest terletak kira-kira 100 meter berjalan kaki dari stesen keretapi Keleti. Itulah sebab mengapa saya memilih untuk tinggal di sini. Sangat mudah untuk saya menerokai bandar lain di Hungary. Bufet sarapan pagi yang enak dan lebih banyak pilihan. Bilik bersih dan selesa. Kakitangan yang sangat sopan dan perkhidmatan mereka sangat baik. Akan tinggal lagi.

Very nice hotel! Perfect location - metro station, market, shops are nearby, pleasant park right in front of hotel. Easy to visit lots of attractions and interesting places on foot. Great view from a balcony, a lot of space in the room. Comfortable beds, bathcoats and slippers are also available on request. Tablet for ordering room services and communication with reception is very convenient as well. Good hairdryer in the bathroom, not like usual hotel small hairdryers. Delicious breakfasts, there was something new to choose every day. Very friendly and helpful staff 🩷 The only things I would like to have in the room - more hooks for clothes and towels in the bathroom and the second feet towel for the second guest, we had only one.
