We had family visiting Thailand for the first time, and we stayed at both the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort and the sister resort Koh Chang Paradise Resort across the street. If you want to read about my awful experience at the sister resort, Koh Chang Paradise, you can read my other review. Our stay at the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort was fun and relaxing. My kids enjoyed the waterpark and the beach. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Two thumbs up for the staff! The only negative experience I had with a staff member was at breakfast one morning. I had sprained my ankle right before our beach holiday and was hobbling around at breakfast filling up my personal mug with tea because the provided cups were really small and I didn’t want to have to get up multiple times to refill the small cup. A chef got angry at me and told me to not use my personal mug. He raised his voice at me and told me unkindly to not do what I was doing. I explained to him that I had hurt my ankle and did not want to get up multiple times to get more tea. I don’t think he really listened to me because he kept talking to me with an angry voice about not using my cup. Thankfully all the other staff at breakfast have been great. The lifeguards at the pool were great. One of the kids in our group slipped and cut her foot, and they cared for her with proper first aid. I appreciated their professional approach! Cleaning ladies were cheerful and smiled a lot.

First time book this hotel but many time visited koh chang. Hotel location is not really good in term of beach area. It is in between the exit point of a small cannel so whenever i want to get to the sea, i need to walk to the near by hotel to enter the cleaner water. Staff and service are excellent. Breakfast quality is pretty decent compare to other hotels that im visiting.

The hotel lobby here has a great view, but other facilities are really average. There are not many choices for meals including breakfast, but their staff are very kind. Furthermore, not having its own beach is a major drawback, after all, its location Already at the beach. We booked a double bed, but both children couldn't get up to have breakfast, but they forced us to have breakfast for four people, which made me feel a little uncomfortable.

Superb hotel to stay in, very family friendly, beautifully appointed rooms, great facilities, clean and well maintained. The pool and beach are superb and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The restaurant food and beach BBQ were terrific. The children loved every minute of their stay. We loved the fact it was so safe for the children...always someone there watching the water ...both beach and pool. Highly recommended and the views and scenery were gorgeous after a heavy rain tho

Traveling to Koh Chang on Songkran Day, if the Accor Group uses benefits, it must be considered. Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway booked a Standard room but was upgraded to a Deluxe Seaview room and received Platinum benefits. Quite complete. The room is okay. I like it because I have to pay only 1,402 baht per night. The room is full due to a long holiday. I'm glad I upgraded. I have reserved 3 rooms, there are welcome drinks for all 3 rooms. For dinner, most of the guests leave their stomachs at the Buffet Hotel because it is Songkran Festival. Accor Plus cannot use the discount at all. The price is not expensive, only 530 baht per person, but.. Phra Chuay Thai food is delicious. Anyone staying here recommends trying Thai food. The happy hour here is satisfyingly long from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone who eats the buffet will receive a buy 1 free 1 promotion until 10:00 p.m., very worthwhile. The highlight of this place is a lot of photo angles, and taking beautiful photos, but the beach is not okay, which is a weak point. The sea water is hardly played because there are a lot of rocks. I mostly stay at the swimming pool 100% recommend if anyone sleeps here to relax and snorkel on the last day, come back to swim at the pool, take chic photos and eat buffet 🙂 Breakfast is quite suitable for Thai people, focusing on spicy Thai food. It also has my favorite pizza. The hotel has a Starbucks on the beach but does not participate in a star or membership program. For me, April 13-15 is a rest day. I'm pretty happy here. Let's just say for Accor members or group members. If anyone comes to Koh Chang, recommend here. You can get both nights and points. If there is any problem during your stay, I suggest you don't wait, hurry and share with him. He knows the problem and is ready to take care of it immediately. Come to Koh Chang next time, Mercure is still our choice.

Sehr schönes Hotel, stellenweise leider etwas abgewohnt, aber trotzdem noch ganz schön. Wir hatten ein Bungalow direkt am angrenzenden Fluss, was von der Lage her schön war, jedoch von Innen sehr Standard eingerichtet und ziemlich abgewohnt war. Zudem war es ganz leicht schräg. Aber das hält sich in Grenzen, darüber kann man hinweg sehen. Es gibt 2 schöne Pools in der Anlage mit ausreichend Liegeflächen. Zudem wird ein kostenloser Shuttle Boot Service zum Strand und zur den Fireflys angeboten. Wenn man Pech hat wartet man jedoch lange auf das Shuttle bis es einen wieder mit zurück nimmt oder man verpasst die Rückfahrt (18 Uhr), dann muss man ca. 25 min zu Fuß zurück gehen (Navi oder Ortskenntnisse nötig). Das Frühstücksbuffet ist leider nicht empfehlenswert, die Auswahl sehr klein und geschmacklich auch nicht so gut, dann lieber für kleines Geld auswärts frühstücken. Der Service an sich war völlig okay und sauber ist die Anlage auch. Von der Lage her ist ein Roller vorteilhaft, aber kein Muss, in 15-20 min Gehweg erreicht man auch das wichtigste. Das Wlan in den Zimmern ist okay, reicht für Netflix. Aber zum Arbeiten vllt. nicht so geeignet.

My in-laws came from the USA for their first ever visit to Thailand, so we chose the Koh Chang Paradise Resort with full confidence that they would enjoy their dream beach vacation with excellent “Thai hospitality.” The guest relations employee, Alex, who has worked at this resort for over 7 years handled our check-in process at the Koh Chang Paradise Resort. His behavior towards us is the reason why we will never stay here again. The resort double-booked the beachfront room we had reserved for my visiting in-laws, but they didn’t tell us that. Instead, Alex said they would upgrade my in-laws to a brand new beachfront room for the last three nights of our stay. These rooms were literally still under construction when we arrived. The room was not ready the morning of the move, so my in-laws told the front desk before breakfast that they would rather stay in the room they already were using. The front desk agreed, so my in-laws went to breakfast. After breakfast Alex found my in-laws and assured them that the new room would be ready by the supposed move time later that same day at noon, but my relatives have young children and were afraid that if something wasn’t constructed quite right or if there were any construction materials left by accident that someone would get hurt. Also, my in-laws were heading out shortly for an elephant experience, so they would not be present at the hotel at noon when the move was supposedly happening. My in-laws politely declined the move, but Alex escalated the situation by raising his voice and forcefully trying to intimidate my in-laws to acquiesce to his will. This is entirely inappropriate! No one should ever talk to a guest in this way, ever! My in-laws needed to leave for the excursion, so I stepped in and had to interact with Alex. I am disappointed with how Alex managed himself. We have rights as guests, and he raised his voice at me and tried to intimidate me into saying that my in-laws would move. He told us that the guests who were arriving always came every year and booked the same room that my in-laws were using. It’s not our fault that the room got double-booked. In fact, why did Alex even give us the room knowing that this double booking could be a problem? Completely the resort’s fault and not ours. I’m disappointed that Alex tried to blame his mistake on us. We as hotel guests who were given that room had just as much right to stay there as these incoming guests. Alex made us feel like we were insignificant and had no right to stay in the room in his attempt to intimidate us into moving so that the “VIP” guests could have the room. It was the resort’s fault, and Alex made us feel terrible with his forceful yelling. We felt belittled. As Alex was yelling at me and being extremely pushy, I could tell that the Thai staff who were watching the whole situation felt embarrassed about how

Mind-blowing experience at this resort. The thing that touched my heart is the service mind of the staff, just awesome. Every stuff has tried their best to make our stay a memorable experience. Just a little problem with bathroom shower area in the room, it is in need of a renovation. Ignoring that very nice stay and would recommend everyone to visit this property.

Мы прожили здесь 12 дней и уезжать не хотелось, и конечно, хочется обязательно вернуться. - Еда - самые красивые завтраки в моей жизни, когда твоего столика почти касаются прозрачные волны утреннего прибоя. Ну и конечно очень вкусные! Есть яичница и омлет, несколько видов мюсли и хлопьев, два вида хлеба, оладушки, йогурт, арбузы, папайя, ананасы, два мясных блюда с овощами (чаще курица и свинина, иногда говядина), блюдо из картофеля, два вида риса, лапша, горячий бекон и колбаса, холодный сыр и колбаса, два вида супа, свежие овощи - черри, огурцы, перец болгарский, листья салата, оливки. И конечно вкусный кофе из машины! Так же есть счастливый час с 16 до 18, когда можно купить два коктейля по цене одного и наслаждаться закатом. Ужины тоже очень вкусные (цена высокая, как и на всем острове у моря, если хочется дешевле в два раза - есть куча мест у обочины дороги) - Территория очень большая и в сравнении с остальным островом очень ухоженная, особенно в районе пляжа с виллами. Без проблем возят по ней и в магазин на машинках отеля, ждать особо не приходится, но лучше взять байк и самому кататься по всему острову. - Номер Deluxe очень красивый и стильный, мебель довольно новая, но в некоторых местах уже испорчена неаккуратными людьми. Огромный сан узел, очень удобный. Кровать мягкая и удобная. - Уборка и смена полотенец каждый день. Смена постели раз в несколько дней. Пастельное белье очень приятно пахнет. - Вода - 2 бутылки по 0,5 л на номер. Этого не хватает на суточную норму потребления и надо докупать свою воду. Но так как в магазин возит транспорт отеля, это не проблема. - Интернет - для работы слабоватый и часто обрывается. Для отдыха - вообще не нужен. Здесь хочется наслаждаться природой и морем. - Пляжи - есть несколько в пешей доступности. Их глубина зависит от прилива, лучше посмотреть график приливов. А красота зависит от направления ветра. В штиль очень красивая и чистая водичка на всех близлежащих пляжах. Но самый красивый пляж Long Beach в восточной части острова, из отеля ехать до него около 1 часа на байке. И лучше с утра, народу до 10 утра там практически нет.

We were staying at a bungalow which was very nice. Cozy bed in which we were sleeping with the 3 of us and a spacious room. The bathroom looked a little bit older. The terrace had 2 comfortable chairs. It was very quiet and nice to relax. The breakfast was good and the offer quite big. The staff was exceptionally friendly and they tried their best in everything. There's a free shuttle service to the supermarket and the hospital and a certain beach. You can also rent scooters there for 250 baht per day. The scooters were pretty new and the roads in a good condition. The pool is big and swimming there is nice. Downside: everything was quite old and outdated. The whole complex should be renovated. Wood is coming off from furniture and there's no charm at the restaurant. The beach is so small and we didn't have the feeling to go swimming in the sea. You have to drive a few kilometers if you want to eat outside of the resort. Communication problems with the reception when we had to cancel our snorkeling trip because of sickness. We were told by them that we could reschedule the trip but when we asked the provider for that, they wouldn't give us a new appointment. That was disappointing in the end.

We have spent 6 nights in Santhiya Tree Koh Chang, even though it's rainy season, we still LOVE it there! Design: we stay at the Pool Suite Water View, almost whole building made by carved wood, traditional Thai design and lots of character, looks very beautiful & classic. Staffs: very friendly and excellent service Pools: 60m long pool at the breakfast restaurant with some seats facing the pool & peaceful mountain view. Another pool right in front of the beach & close to the villas. Both pools clean & big. Santhiya Tree use pa kao ma thai sarong as beach towel, love it! Food: delicious buffet breakfast & lots of variety. Food & drinks at the Chantara Restaurant is high quality & very yummy. The duo who sings at the restaurant are brilliant singers, you won't get bored with their performance. Room: spacious & clean, lots of electric plugs & even beach bag for use. They burn lemongrass/ citronella oil in the bathroom to keep mozzies away & room smells good. Massage at their spa: very good & reasonable price, sound of the waves makes the massage so relaxing, must try. Shuttle bus to main street: every 2 hrs they can drop you or pick up from main street as there resort is not at the road side. Not sure if it's because of low season, hope the shuttle service can be more frequent. Thank you everybody at Santhiya Tree Koh Chang for the great service and smiles. Will definitely come back for another holiday and highly recommend if you're looking for a fantastic place to stay! This beautiful place takes your stress away :) P.S. there's a small part of the road right outside the resort leading to the entrance is unsealed with lots of potholes, pretty bumpy for cars and their shuttle bus, suggest Santhiya Tree do something with it.

Great location, and good, spacious rooms (although it takes time to get used to locking the doors). However, staff service is poor. At breakfast, staff doesn’t seem to be happy with what they’re doing and would sometimes ignore guests. The staff cooking the eggs were kind though. Resort also doesn’t offer ground coffee drinks so we got stuck with powdered coffee until we found out about the two coffee shops that are walking distance from the resort. Food can be improved too: breakfast’s okay but doesn’t offer diversity. You’ll get bored with the food after a few days. Beach and the sunset is marvelous though!

Потрясающий пляж! Территория отеля - ухоженный сад, очень красиво. Отличные завтраки! Цены не маленькие, но со скидками вполне приемлемое соотношение цена/качество. Отель давно без ремонта, но после пандемии заметен косметический ремонт и капитальная уборка. Хотя покрытие на верандах все еще требует замены - просто гвозди торчат местами - ребенка не пускали там бегать. Ресторан при отеле это наверно самое расстройство, цены супер высокие, качество еды низкое: за почти 500 бат (цена 400 +сборы +налоги), получили пиццу диаметром 30см из замороженного теста. Это фиаско, братан. В общем только пиво и то за 150бат. Инфраструктура на дороге в 800метрах есть вся и фрукты и кафешки и хоз.маг, но 800 метров в горку) можно попросить отельный транспорт подкинуть туда, но обратно пешком, правда уже с горки))) но почти без освещения. What a hidden gem! We have been to Koh Mak before and this is the best hotel we have been staying on. We stayed on the hotel on the other side of the street but it was terrible so we changed to Islanda and I wished we had boked Islanda in the first place. It’s clean, no insects in the room, very good food, the staff is amazing, the breakfast is really good and the view - the best view in Koh Mak!! The hotel looks newly renovated now after covid and I really hope they keep this standard! We had the room with pool view and then we upgraded to the room with both pool view and sea view which both was amazing. The location is also great, really close to everything but still very calm (no dogs etc). We are going home tomorrow but if we go back to Koh Mak this is definitely the hotel we will stay on!

We have a great time staying at Mira Montra Koh Mak. Front desk is very kind and helpful. Room is clean, bed is super comfortable. Free to borrow kayak, sup board and snorkeling equipments. Thanks to N’ Chai for recommending snorkeling spot at Koh Phi, that we can go there by kayaking. At Koh Phi diving spot is full of sea anemone, pink anemone fish and pack of various kind of fish. But not recommend when strong wind, high wave and strong currents quite risk. Hope to have spend more days here again.

The beach front pool villa was perfect, looking straight out over the sea. Two huge double beds which were really comfortable. Cold, quiet air conditioning. Large bathroom with outside shower. (inc shampoo, body wash etc) TV with Netflix if you’re feeling lazy. And a coffee machine. Outside pool was an added bonus to cool off. Zanzibar, the resort cocktail bar make really great cocktails with happy hour (50% off) between 5 to 7 Breakfast was good and had variety. Eggs station, toast, bacon and pastries. They also have rice dishes, vegetables and pasta. The resort restaurant was disappointing with prices well over 300 baht for Thai dishes. The quality did not reflect the price at all. Be aware if you book a transfer through the resort to Koh Chang, it’s pricey & stops at multiple piers before heading to Koh Chang.

The resort has a stunning outlook onto the sea, great, but small pool, great rooms, some with roof terraces & is very relaxed. The restaurant's food is superbly presented, however unfortunately, the service is poor and let it down. Both times we dined there we had to go and find our own menus, noone brought them to us. The food took a long time to come and, though it was well-presented, some of it was cold. They forgot my wife's main dish and despite enquiring about it twice with a waitress who didn't seem to speak English and just giggled and walked off, it never arrived. This was really disappointing and marred our stay which would have otherwise been very relaxing. After we complain they did eventually apologise and discounted out bill by one dish but it wasn't great. The resort can arrange golf buggy hire for you to tour the island for 800 THB for 5 hours (that and 10 hours only options - no shorter time) which is worth doing. Also nice to walk out on the sand when the tide goes all the way out

The Beach Natural Resort is a little piece of heaven. It's off the beaten path and that makes it so special. No crazy crowds, just individual traveller who enjoy a place to relax, wind down and recharge. The staff is wonderful and extremely friendly. The beach is like a beautiful pool, crystal clear water and the sunsets are stunning. Breakfast ist plentyfull with a wide selection of various hot and cold dishes. The restaurant is fantastic as well and we dined there 3 times out of 5 as the quality and the value for money is outstanding. They even had a surprise bday cake for my wife. Big thank you to all the staff for their impeccable service. Two small suggestions though: 1) The rooms need a bit of continued maintenance, to justify the pricing (although Bay 1 was way better than Bay 3) 2) I totally liked and enjoyed the shoes off policy, but please not in the public bathroom. Unfortunately there are a lot of 'dirty' guests and walking barfoot through their pee isn't really hygenic. Still, it's overall a beautiful oasis, we can highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

Great location, and good, spacious rooms (although it takes time to get used to locking the doors). However, staff service is poor. At breakfast, staff doesn’t seem to be happy with what they’re doing and would sometimes ignore guests. The staff cooking the eggs were kind though. Resort also doesn’t offer ground coffee drinks so we got stuck with powdered coffee until we found out about the two coffee shops that are walking distance from the resort. Food can be improved too: breakfast’s okay but doesn’t offer diversity. You’ll get bored with the food after a few days. Beach and the sunset is marvelous though!

Потрясающий пляж! Территория отеля - ухоженный сад, очень красиво. Отличные завтраки! Цены не маленькие, но со скидками вполне приемлемое соотношение цена/качество. Отель давно без ремонта, но после пандемии заметен косметический ремонт и капитальная уборка. Хотя покрытие на верандах все еще требует замены - просто гвозди торчат местами - ребенка не пускали там бегать. Ресторан при отеле это наверно самое расстройство, цены супер высокие, качество еды низкое: за почти 500 бат (цена 400 +сборы +налоги), получили пиццу диаметром 30см из замороженного теста. Это фиаско, братан. В общем только пиво и то за 150бат. Инфраструктура на дороге в 800метрах есть вся и фрукты и кафешки и хоз.маг, но 800 метров в горку) можно попросить отельный транспорт подкинуть туда, но обратно пешком, правда уже с горки))) но почти без освещения.
