This was our first stay with B&B Hotels, and the first of 5 bidet hotel stays during a two week road trip around France.
The B&B hotel in Alençon stood out for several reasons. The availability of EV charging stations was a real bonus and made our journey much easier. The staff on site were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, quite a contrast to our experience of many of the other budget hotels.
Staff suggested we ate in neighbouring restaurant where we got a 20% discount. Even though it had gone 9pm. Restaurant were happy to accept us and our discount was applied.
Breakfast was another highlight: hot, well-prepared, and consistently replenished, which made for a great start to each day. Our room was also noticeably more spacious than the one we had in Toulouse, and the shower was excellent, with plenty of space, strong water pressure, and reliably hot water.
What really made this stay memorable, however, was the staff. Across all five B&B Hotels we stayed in the week, the team here in Alençon were by far the most engaged, attentive, and customer-focused.

I arrived on Christmas Day, and I'm grateful to the staff and guests who helped me get the code for the electronic lock. The room was nice and quiet. The bed was large, and there were no issues with water. The train station is a 40-minute walk away. There's a shopping center with an Auchan store about 20 minutes away. A kettle in the room would have been a real plus. Otherwise, it's a good budget option.

Anonymous UserConvenient & cheap overnight stop with quick access back onto motorway yet quiet & calm.
Shame about the restaurant side ! Arriving week day on way south told closed cos. chef on holiday ! 🫣
On return Saturday journey north arrived to be told restaurant not open weekends 😳
Restaurants open in outskirts of Alencon a 10 min drive.

The room, the passage between the bed and the wall, the shower, the sink, the toilet, the cup for tea in the morning, the breakfast tray, etc., are all small! This is unexpected.
However, the hotel is very clean, the reception staff is friendly and the parking lot is large.
It should be noted that although the breakfast selection is rich, I think the quality is average and there is no taste. I think I have had a better breakfast at other ibis hotels.

Anonymous UserPros: The staff is very nice and welcoming. We had a room on the first floor, which was very convenient since the hotel does not have an elevator. However, if you are traveling only with backpacks, this should not be a problem. Although the hotel is relatively inexpensive, it is very cozy and comfortable. We stayed in a room with three beds: one large bed and two smaller beds, as well as a spacious bathroom. Just be aware that the hotel does not provide slippers, but you can ask for water bottle.
Cons: The towels could be cleaned better, as they already look quite gray and worn. And on the second day, the housekeeping staff only brought fresh towels and did not make the beds.

The reception is only available at fixed times and during the weekend they don't answer emails. I had problems with check-in because I had no instructions for automatic check-in. So I had to wait until 9:00 the next day to have the room available for only three hours. These are equipped apartments, they are very clean, quiet and the outdoor parking is free. Unfortunately, access to the video-monitored garage is not allowed. In summary, the structure offers an acceptable price/quality ratio.

HujiaomanchanThe hotel's surroundings are pretty good. There's no elevator, but it's conveniently located within the scenic area, so it's easy to explore in the mornings. Other than that, there's nothing particularly special. Despite a tedious inquiry and reservation process on their website, check-in isn't available until 4 PM.

Guest UserThis hotel is quite new on the edge of Ouistreham and is an ideal stopping point before joining the ferry.
The facilities were basic but perfectly adequate for our needs. You get a decent bed, air con, and small bathroom with shower and that's about it. There is no catering - you cvan have breakfast at a bench if you want - and no kettle or drinks facilities in the room. The place has an automated check-in system, which was on the blink when we visited. It is also a fair walk to get to Ouistreham's limited facilites. On the whole, we loved it.

Guest UserUns hat alles gefallen: sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, schnelles internet, 2 Handtücher pro Person, bequemes Bett, ein sehr sauberes Zimmer, tolle Lage (gleich am Busbahnhof), 5-7 Minuten zu Fuß bis zum Zentrum oder alten Hafen.
Wir waren mit der Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden und können das Hotel jedem empfehlen.
Wir würden hier nochmal übernachten, wenn wie wieder in Honfleur sind.

Guest UserI arrived at the hotel on July 13th around 7:30 pm, but the hotel said that there was no booking despite that I shown the receptionist your confirmation email hence I could not stay. I email your support service but it did not help, only said that I am not entitled to a refund, but it was nothing to do with me, it was a mistake between your company and the hotel, I was turned away. I am a regular user and I am very unhappy. Please send this to your customer care. Check my records you will know how many times I have used you in this year.
