Kakitangan sangat mesra dan banyak membantu. Mereka berkongsi maklumat kedai-kedai berdekatan serta menunjukkan arah ke jeti dan seumpamanya. Kapsulnya kecil, boleh memuatkan 2 orang bersaiz sederhana. Tandas awam berasingan untuk lelaki dan perempuan. Pengering rambut disediakan di tingkat bawah. Air panas dan kemudahan asas seperti ketuhar gelombang mikro juga ada di tingkat bawah.
Namun, penebat bunyi kurang memuaskan. Jika jiran sebelah naik katil atau membuka/menutup pintu, bilik kami akan bergegar sedikit.
Harganya agak murah dan lokasinya juga bagus, dengan McDonald's berdekatan. Jika anda ingin berjimat, tempat ini boleh dipertimbangkan.

Khidmat pelanggan tiada di bilik ketika saya ingin memulangkan kunci bilik. Banyak kali menghubungi saya dan tidak pernah menjawab sehingga pukul 10 pagi kemudian mereka akan mengambilnya. Saya kembali ke kampung halaman apabila saya menghubungi CS tentang pemulangan kunci. Tidak pernah menerima arahan untuk meninggalkan kunci di dalam bilik kerana saya takut orang lain akan masuk ke dalam bilik dan merosakkan semua yang saya tidak pernah lakukan. Sila PERHATIKAN perkara ini.

Kakitangannya ramah dan ruangnya luas, seperti rumah untuk dua orang, tidak seperti hotel. Terdapat teres dan tiada bangunan di seberang jalan, jadi saya suka rasa lapangnya. Satu-satunya kelemahan ialah bilik mandi berbau sedikit, tetapi ia hilang apabila saya menutup pintu. Terdapat sedikit bunyi motosikal dari tengah malam hingga 2 pagi, tetapi saya menikmati penginapan yang selesa tanpa sebarang masalah.

Terletak di lokasi yang strategik, hotel terkemuka ini menawarkan gabungan harmoni antara keanggunan, keselesaan, dan perkhidmatan yang cemerlang. Sejak melangkah masuk ke lobi yang direka indah, saya disambut dengan layanan mesra dan suasana kemewahan yang tenang.
Biliknya memancarkan kemewahan yang bersahaja — sangat bersih, dilengkapi perabot lengkap, dan direka dengan mengutamakan keselesaan. Cadar katilnya empuk, pencahayaan menenangkan, dan bilik air dilengkapi kelengkapan mandi premium berserta pancuran air hujan yang menyegarkan. Lokasi Hebat & Berbaloi Menginap!
Menginap di hotel ini dan mempunyai pengalaman yang indah. Lokasinya sangat baik, hanya berjalan kaki singkat ke pasar malam, menjadikannya sangat mudah untuk makanan dan membeli-belah. Bilik-bilik adalah bersih, selesa, dan diselenggara dengan baik. Kakitangan yang mesra dan kemudahan yang baik ditambah kepada penginapan yang menyenangkan. Pastinya pilihan yang bagus untuk sesiapa yang mencari kemudahan dan nilai untuk wang!

BBella1994All was good except for the WiFi service. The staff were good. It has no lift by the way and our family room with 2 queen beds and 1 sofa bed was on the 2nd floor. Using only stair to lift up our baggage. This facility has it's own parking lot which save our time not to look for a space to park our car.

Me and a group of colleagues chose Wendu Inn during our recent work trip to Kota Belud, and I’d like to share an honest review—not just a general star rating—because the experience was a mix of excellent and disappointing aspects.
Pros: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
• The check-in process was smooth and efficient.
• Cleanliness and room comfort are top-notch—definitely 5-star worthy, especially for a small town like Kota Belud.
• The view from the café and the convenience of having a minimart downstairs were truly added bonuses.
• We genuinely appreciated the effort put into making the place cozy and welcoming.
But here comes the downside:
We booked our rooms with breakfast included, which is supposed to be served at their café. However, this was where things went wrong.
1️⃣ When we went for breakfast, there was no proper display or explanation about the free breakfast options. What was openly displayed was a menu with both breakfast (no prices shown) and lunch items (with prices).
The actual complimentary breakfast choices were hidden away in a folder behind the counter—not visible to guests. Naturally, thinking the displayed breakfast options were part of our package, we made our choices and presented our coupons at the counter. The staff accepted the coupons without saying a word. Only after finishing our meals were we surprised with a bill, leaving us feeling misled and frustrated.
2️⃣ The counter staff’s customer service was below expectations.
When we requested an official receipt for work claims, we were repeatedly told to refer to the booking website. Even after explaining that we needed an original stamped receipt, the answer was simply: “We don’t have an original stamp.”
For a hotel catering to business travelers, this lack of basic documentation support is quite inconvenient.
Final thoughts:
Would I recommend Wendu Inn? Yes—for comfort, cleanliness, and its peaceful surroundings.
But be prepared to double-check details around your package (especially meals), and don’t expect much assistance from the front desk when it comes to paperwork or clarifications.

QQaaa AmrrThe journey to the hotel took a very long time because it's quite far. The road leading to the hotel wasn't great, but once we arrived, the view was absolutely stunning. Mount Kinabalu was clearly visible; we could see it distinctly in both the afternoon and morning. The bed was a bit noisy, it creaked a little when moved, and there were other faint noises, but we just ignored them. Breakfast was decent. Their fried banana fritters were delicious and crispy – perfect for an early morning breakfast.
I chose this hotel specifically for the view, and it certainly didn't disappoint.

HHernandoI loved this hotel; I thought it was the best in the area. The food is good. It's very close to the orangutan activities and the Rainforest Discovery Center.
August is the most popular time of year, so all the private cabins were already booked. Only the 6-bed shared rooms were left, but I still decided to stay here because the hotel is so beautiful. In the end, there were only 3 of us in the room. The walk to the room is on an elevated dock, full of trees and flowers. You pass by all the chalets, and it's very pleasant.
You feel like you're in the middle of the jungle at all times. The only detail I didn't like is that the pool is very dirty, full of floating moss.

GGuest UserPrior to making the reservation, I had reviewed numerous negative online comments, primarily concerning issues with the air-conditioning and bathroom facilities. As a result, I contacted the hotel directly to seek clarification. The front desk staff assured me that I would be allocated a room without such problems and stated that it was designated for foreign guests and had not received any complaints. Relying on this assurance, I proceeded to book a twin-bed room.
Upon check-in, we were required to carry our luggage to the third floor due to the absence of an elevator, and no assistance was offered by the staff. Although the room layout was acceptable, it was poorly maintained, with visible damage to the headboard.
On the third evening, after returning to the hotel during heavy rain, we discovered that the shower was not functioning properly, with no water supply initially and only minimal cold water later. Despite being informed that a technician would attend to the matter at 11:00 p.m., no assistance was provided even after 11:25 p.m. Subsequently, the air-conditioning unit began leaking water.
When I requested a room change, the staff initially declined, citing a lack of availability. Only after I insisted on speaking to the manager or owner was a replacement room, free from these issues, finally provided.
I am extremely disappointed with this hotel, as it is evident that management has failed to take previous guest feedback seriously or implement necessary improvements despite repeated online complaints.

GGuest UserIt should be a nice place, with a huge garden, but all the board walks are made with cheap looking wood imitation.
You feel more like disney land.
The houses and rooms are poorly sound proofed, every room is on a long floor and everybody is passing through, kids shouting and screaming and parents screaming in their cellphones. Then people are not used to close doors quietly, its banging 24 hours.
Its very much noise made by humans for a jungle resort.
The service is good and the rooms are in a good condition, just it should be more light by the sink in the room.

AAngela OoiYou have to buy tissues separately at the counter. The room had a very damp smell as soon as I entered, and so did the bed and bedding. The soundproofing is very poor. I wouldn't recommend this room type for light sleepers, as you can occasionally hear children running upstairs and other people's conversations very clearly. The environment is quite nice, especially at night. However, when the lights are on at night, people outside can see everything through the glass doors and windows. 😂

TTriptheuniverseSemporna is an interesting place to visit, with several islands surrounded by coral reefs for snorkeling and diving, more beautiful than many other snorkeling spots worldwide. Staying at this hostel instead of moving to an island resort is a good way to budget. And not only that, the fish market in Semporna is the most incredible one I have seen, seafood like lobsters, large shrimps, crabs so fresh, not even the one at Kota Kinabalu can be compared good as it was too. The DZ hostel lady staff was very helpful and can arrange for island trips at a reasonable price. The dorms are separated into boys and girls, something I truly appreciate. The bathrooms faced the afternoon sun, so they were dried easily and kept clean. Laundry by machine was offered free, a super plus for swimmers. The hostel also offered local Malay snack food for breakfast, and coffee or tea were always available. To be honest, it's a good budget place to stay while splurging on the island tours. It's a bit sad that no cooking is allowed here, even though there was a kitchen. Sad because the seafood mentioned above was so available. The facade of the building is nothing to boast about, and like many places, the external (streets, pavement, eyc) can be a mess. That should not deter visiting this part of the world mainly because the sea in this area is astoundingly replenished with marine life.
