We didn't expect it to be that good! The place is great with all facilities you need. The staff is helpful, and the check in and check out was super easy. The room was good and clean. The only con is that the bus from the center of Rome back to hu is often packed with people and late, plus you have to wait for a while on the stop for the next ones to arrive.

Only two stars but spotlessly clean. Lovely room and super shower room. Bed was firm but comfortable. Fridge in the room. Coffee machine and snack machine near reception. No lift. Room only. Area is a bit run down. Lovely park 100 metres away with pavement cafe/bar doing basic snacks. Would go there again

The ho(s)tel was brand-new, and very clean! The beds where a bid hard, but thats personal preference. We asked for more pillows and towels, and they happily obliged. The breakfast buffet is pretty basic, so don't expect any warm/hot food like fresh eggs or bacon - but it's all you need. The whole staff was superfriendly. The location is perfect, as it's sitting at walking distance from the most famous sights: Colloseum, Trevi, ... Apart from that - it's only a 4-min walk from the metro-station 'Republica'. There's a convenience store located right in front of the hotel, which also comes in handy for getting a few bottles of water for the road. Would recommend, and definitely stay here again!

Firstly, in the lift I feared for my life! Felt so unsafe. The hotel was cold, bare and grubby. The rooms… the bed was like sleeping on concrete with one scratchy pillow. So dark, dingy and cold. I now have a bad back and severe shoulder pain, so uncomfortable. The bathroom was the size of a broom cupboard, the shower was dangerous as so small you couldn’t turn around and you’d fall on the silly step inside, shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold. The electric sockets in the room were hanging off the walls - very unsafe. Not to mention staff entered our room early hours in the morning on two occasions and said “oh sorry” & left when we got up and asked what they were doing?? Breakfast shouldn’t even be called breakfast it is in a cold mouldy room underground and is a machine terrible coffee and watered orange juice, 3 mouthfuls in a plastic cup, a croissant and a piece of sweet bread, the toaster was out of order, who wants dry bread for breakfast. I am so disappointed and at £120 this is far far below expectations, I understand it’s budget but this was very unsafe and unhygienic and 100% overpriced. The dust in the room was inches thick. The staff there was a different young boy there every evening. The hotel made you feel dirty.

We were somewhat concerned when reading the reviews on this place after booking the rooms but I think for the price it's a great place to stay while visiting Roma on a budget. The staff on hand where friendly and efficient, the rooms were good , everything functioned fine and we had breakfast and happy hour wine in the early evening, Rooms, bed were clean and comfortable, don't get me wrong this is not 4 star hotel, its a hostel. Would I stay again......mmmmm yes I would, it fitted my needs perfectly. Bring a small padlock for the lockers or just take anyvaluables with you, right next to the termini rail hub this place is great to settle down b4 you hit Roma. Kitchen, outside garden, bag drop locker room which is locked up, lifts to upper floors and good travel guests that shared our 4 bed dorm with ensure, I hope to be back someday soon, thanks Freedom Traveller

We are a family of four, just returned from Camping Fabulous. We chose this campsite for its location and proximity to Rome. We didn't hire a car but organised a taxi from and to the Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino airport as it cost less than public transport and is less than a 30 minute transfer. We stayed 3-10th April. The campsite was just getting geared up for the start of the season and they were not ready to hit the ground running. The night we arrived there was a large queue of people outside the very small reception cabin, it's not an actual building, and a security guard outside was managing the queue so people didn't crowd into the very small cabin. We couldn't see how many reception staff were on so went straight to the bar for something to eat. It was busy there and staff seemed frazzled and harassed as if not expecting it to be so busy so early in the season. Food is basic but adequate. Stick to reliables like pizzas and pasta. Anything outside of that from a secondi menu did not live up to the description on the menu and pricey for what it was. Restaurant is not very attractive in decor- it's more like a canteen than a restaurant in the lighting and noisy acoustics. It's not a place you'd like to linger over a glass of wine. Eat and go. We returned to reception and got our key to our mobile which was a three bed close to the pool area. We requested a change right away as we were housed next door to a large noisy group of Italian men and reception facilitated our request. The second mobile was in a much quieter area but still near the pool. Good idea by previous reviewer to study the map of the campsite and select your accommodation before you go and ask to be accommodated in your choice. We met one family from Brussels with children who were 20 minutes walk from.the pool area, supermarket etc. The campsite is very big so bear in mind that you could be accommodated a good walk from facilities if you don't request otherwise. We knew the pool wouldn't be open until Friday 7th April and that was fine as we intended to visit Rome 4tg, 5th and 6th and stay around the pool when weather was forecast to be good at the Easter weekend but it did not say on the website that the supermarket would not be open until Friday 7th either. In fact it didnt open until Saturday 8th due to some issues but no one working there seemed to know when exactly it was opening and weren't too bothered either. People were milling sround in the mornings trying to buy the few croissants on sale from the bar and they sold out fast and that was it then, nothing else to buy, no basics available like fresh bread , milk or water. The bar staff were overwhelmed by the queue of people and knowing they were unprepared. We walked to the PIM supermarket, a well stocked supermarket, which was over 1km away and trekked back with water milk, cereal etc on a very dangerous, uneven, bumpy road with no footpath except at times, a bit of a muddy verge as the cars sped past. We had the opportunity to stay in the ”new” area and the hotel contacted us the day before we arrived to notify us because we would be staying across the street from the main building. There was no one there to greet us but they did provide us door codes to let us in and left the key on the front desk. They charged a city tax which we had to pay at the front desk of the main hotel. The only issues we had for check in is that both parts of the hotel are non-descript and have no signage outside - for the main part you have to look for the street number and the hotel's name is on the call board. I don't think either desk has staff after hours but we felt safe. The newer rooms are located below ground level beside a fairly busy street. Only motorcycles were the issue and we didn't hear them between 9 pm and 7 am. The bed was comfy with good pillows and the room came with a desk, closet and chair. The room was big enough for the two of us but the bathroom quarters were tight with a slanted ceiling that was quite low. I had to duck to use the toilet and get in and out of the shower - I bumped my head a lot in the washroom at 180 cm. The shower had good pressure and they provided extra packets of shampoo and soap. The shower head placement is a bit weird but wasn't a deal breaker. The hotel had a kettle with some tea, instant coffee and Biscoff biscuits. In the hallway they had a Krup/Nespresso machine to make espresso and coffee from pods. Another nice feature is that since the rooms we stayed in were below ground they stayed nice and cool. There was also its own AC/heat machine in the room with an English remote so we could control the climate of the room. The area is quite cool and we were a 20 minute walk to the Vatican City Museum Entrance and 10 minute walk to St. Peter's Square. The Castel Sant'Angelo was right across the river from us and was really nice to look at day and night. The forum and Colosseum area were about 30 minutes away as well and there were many small attractions and good restaurants nearby. April is the start of high season in Rome and we paid more than we wanted to for this hotel but relative to other crazy prices in Rome we thought we got a decent deal for a good night's sleep while we explored Rome. The prices seem to fluctuate a lot at this hotel and you could probably get a good deal here in low season. To get here you can take a 20 minute ride from Roma Termini on Bus 40 or 64 which is 1.5 Euros. If you're coming from or going to the airport the SIT bus was an excellent option and costs 8 Euros for a comfy sit down bus with a couple of stops. You can also take a train/bus combo from the airport to Roma Termini and then to the hotel. Anyway it is pleasant and convenient.
