A very unique ryokan experience at Kusatsu. I've never seen wooden floors that shiny. The room is LARGE. Plenty of space that is also partitioned, and can sleep up to 6. There's a toilet in the room, but no shower. They've got a top notch onsen bath downstairs. The hotel staff were kind and used a translator to communicate with us. Location wise, it is very good. It's near enough to the Yubatake. Like 1 min walk away. But it's away from the noise and crowd and sulphur fumes. The perfect choice for guests who like to go back to the hotel for a short rest and come back out again

Hôtel un peu en dehors du centre,400 m. mais au calme, personnel très serviable, petit déjeuner typiquement japonais et même original, chambre double spacieuse, onsen disponible attention l'eau vient directement de la source 50°C.

良かったです！なんと言っても二階建の
ホテルで、面倒なエレベーター乗らずにすみ、フロントとかも人が少なく静かで良かった！キッチンが有りバストイレが別々で自転車が借りれて最高です！次回出張時も又お世話になります。

호텔은 깨끗하고 숙소에 문의하면 체크인, 체크아웃할 때 버스터미널까지 셔틀버스를 운영합니다. 조식과 석식을 추가할 수 있으며, 저는 석식만 추가했는데 가격대비 만족스러운 식사였어요. 객실엔 욕조와 샤워시설이 없고 전세 온천 3개가 있는데 비어있을 때 자유롭게 이용 할 수 있어요. 도보 3분거리에 세븐일레븐도 있습니다

Great location, we really enjoyed the private Onsen. The staff was extremely friendly and very welcoming. The location is great, close to the bus station and easy to walk anywhere in town. I would definitely stay here again!

週末の急な宿泊予約だったが、到着1時間前で予約できた。
客室はとても清潔感があり、また、受付の方なども親身な対応をしていただいた。
いつくか展開しているグループのようなので、このグループは積極的に利用させていただきたい。

ホテル近くには飲食店が多いので夕食に便利でした。部屋も綺麗ですが、男性は大浴場がありましたが、女性は部屋内の浴槽が狭かったです。アメニティのシャンプー、コンディショナーを使ったら髪がサラサラになり、嬉しかったです。
家族3人で安く泊まれたので大満足です。また利用したいです。

This was my first and only stay at a ryokan so I don’t have much to compare it to. I chose this lodging because of the cats and good reviews on the food. The cats were really sweet and I enjoyed playing with them. I have 2 cats of my own so it was really nice. The food was so beautiful and delicious - the mushroom soup at dinner was amazing. I really enjoyed it. The private bath rooms were very convenient and open 24 hrs. I thought the facilities were clean and very pleasant. The location was very close to the central area and a quick walk to all the important sites including the bus station. The only comment I have was in the morning someone was smoking and the smell got ****** into the 2nd floor hallway so maybe more care should be taken to be sure the smoke stays outside. The host was so nice and sweet and I used google translate to ask questions. The matcha madeleines are so tasty I bought a box to take with me.

女性用のお風呂はありませんが、家族風呂があり
時間で予約できるのでそれで十分でした
漫画コーナーも完備していて、出張で使う方も
かなりリピートしたくなるようなホテルですね

ののえるはるIt was better than any other inn I've stayed at so far. The futons were fluffy, the bathroom was clean, and the breakfast was full of vegetables. It was the best inn. I was surprised more than anything by how nice the people were.

GGuest UserI don't know where to start. Our stay was a highlight of our trip to Japan. This area is so beautiful and calm. We had a large room in the old house, very.spacious and with comfortable beds. The onsen in the room was amazing. But the best of all was the care of the owner in preparing delicious meals for dinner and for breakfast. Very generous and prepared with such attention. Each dish has its unique flavour. We stayed three nights and were truly sad to leave. It is a different world. We went on walks and we were given a tasty picnic box. Everything was wonderful. The place can be easily reached by train to Shimonita from where the owner can pick you up. Please visit this place. You will not regret it.

Kkazu.jp駅近で周辺に食事出来る所たくさんありました。高崎駅近くのホテル探しましたがインバウンドの影響？か週末シングル10000円↑の所ばかりでこちらのSuzuya Hotelに決めました。他のレビューでウォシュレットがないというの見ましたがやはりあったらいいなと思いました。漫画がたくさんあり一人で滞在するには良かったです。

The room is older, but there is everything there, and the bathrobes are beautiful. The hot springs are all public, there is no private soup, and the toilets are also public. There is a squat pit and a toilet. The toilets have to line up that morning. The sense of form at dinner is still in line with the routine of Japanese hot spring hotels. The dishes are ok, and the breakfast is a bit disappointing. It is all carbon water, and the hot spring eggs are not. The geographical location is an extra point. This town has many mountain roads. His home is a 1-minute walk from the bus station, and it will not be very tired to go up and down, let alone ask the hotel to drive to pick it up.
According to these circumstances, it is okay to give 4 points, but I don't recommend everyone to live, because this house has hidden charges, and in winter it will charge 500 warm house fee and 150 hot spring water tax. There is no mention on the booking page. If the hot spring tax is not unfamiliar to people who frequent Japan, what is called the warm house fee is very strange. Communicate with the store. It's a pity that there are only men in the public bath, but the unit bath in the room has been renovated, so it's easier to spend than before.

GGuest UserEverything was good to be honest. Only the check out timing was written on trip.com “before 12” however the owner said “it is 10 am”. We went out in the morning and we came back before 12, the owner removed all our belongings from the to the entrance so we felt about annoyed since we could only call us to excuse us before removing our belongings by himself. Also, it is not written on the website, but the owner asked us to pay 300 yen (150 each) as taxes for using Ofuro.

GGuest UserThe place is far from the city so it’s actually pretty hard to access to this place. But the owner is really nice, she helped us with a lot of stuff, including with luggage transfer and taking us back to the train station. She also made us food because she’s worried we’re not eating enough and it’s cold.
On top of that, if you are planning to go snowboarding or skiing there is a shuttle bus near by that takes you to the Kawaba ski resort for free!

NNat_SThe location is perfect, right on the main square. But this ryokan doesn’t ready for foreign travelers, even Signboard only in Japanese. Workers doesn’t speak English also. And there is no kayseki dinner. In the room you’ll have matcha tea and beautiful tableware, traditional clothes. For breakfast you should choose time 7:30 or 8:30 and it’s so big (2 photo), but for me was very salty. There is two onsen - outside and inside on different floors.
