Swings and Pillows is truly in a perfect location in George Town—everything is within walking distance: street art, heritage buildings, cafes, street food, and the heart of the city. It's ideal if you want to soak up the city's vibes without having to travel far or rely on much transportation.

First of all, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Right in front of the hotel entrance, there is a restaurant called SNUG, and every single dish felt thoughtfully prepared and genuinely delicious. The Malaysian Chinese lady owner was incredibly kind and always willing to help, which made our stay feel even more welcoming and personal. As soon as you step outside the hotel, many major tourist attractions are within walking distance, so the location is very convenient. One small thing to note is that the bathroom inside the room is quite small, and the soundproofing is not very strong—so for couples who have just started dating, everyday sounds might feel a bit too “live broadcast.” 😅 Aside from that, the room was very clean, cozy, and charming, perfectly capturing the old Penang vibe. Overall, it’s a simple, compact, and lovely hotel that we truly enjoyed and would happily recommend. 💛

The hotel seems fairly new and rooms are very clean, hotel basement parking are limited as first come first serve. But theres plenty of parking at roadside. Love that they have 2 water dispenser in the lobby which makes it very convenient. Location is great too. Would come again next time for sure.

My recent stay at Swing & Pillows @ Muntri was absolutely exceptional! From the moment I arrived, the warm welcome and smooth check-in process set the tone for a fantastic experience. The hotel perfectly reflects the charm of Penang with its excellent ambiance, beautifully maintained facilities, and cozy atmosphere. The room was immaculate, providing the ideal blend of comfort and cleanliness. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail in every corner, making my stay feel incredibly homely. The shared bathroom facilities were spotless, and the free Wi-Fi worked flawlessly, which was a great convenience. The location couldn’t have been better—situated in the heart of Georgetown, I was able to explore nearby attractions with ease. The overall quiet and peaceful environment of the hotel offered a restful retreat after my busy days of sightseeing.

Good service provider by manager , change room immediately when I informed about thinner smell and they upgraded the room . Nice staff , very recommended to stay here

Overall is fine, just the shower head cannot hold long at the holder, and after housekeeping and we went back to the hotel at around 3pm, found out the towels and floor mat were all gone, start requested few times with reception until 11pm+ only got it.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They give good advice when asking for information. It's convenient for traveling and finding food.
