Service was outstanding as expected from a Grand Hotel. Nevertheless I want to mention that every single person from staff was highly motivated and trying to support us in every way, appreciated! The breakfast had been very good (compared to italian standards); hint: always order italian coffee and forget the american coffee. Small remark, regarding my personal expectations regarding room size: as I booked Executive room type I paid the price and I did expect some room with at least 30 squaremeters; finally I think it was something around 20 squaremeters, which is pretty small. Would be good to clearly mention this in advance; I could not see any room size in my original booking via trip.com. The bath was very modern and good. Sea view and small balcony included, super nice! Free parking included was great (and really necessary; small old streets which are crowed with parking cars, to pay hourly + ongoing street works all the time) We did hike to Quinque Terra (to the next town Remaggiore); hotel was perfect starting point. I would come back again, but next time book bigger room.

This waterfront hotel in the seaside town of Alassio is extremely well-staffed and equipped, it also has a very generously furnished spa/health therapy centre. However The main entrance to the hotel has two small (hotel name)brass plaques, one on either side of the relatively small revolving door ……..both obscured by large plants. The external carpet is embroidered with ‘Riviera Delle Palme Talassio Collection’ and neither the hidden plaques nor the carpet are good indicators as to where the hotel was hiding. For a stressed first time visitor arriving by car and having spent many hours in badly managed roadwork queues, the lack of signs and clear indications were not conducive to a smooth arrival. Children had been allowed to use the main spa pool in the afternoon (mornings they’re allowed in) bringing with them a cacophony of noise and a traffic jam at the most popular water jets thereby making the area into a large, unnecessary and unwanted kindergarten. The masseuse managed to arrive unacceptably late for a pre-booked massage by which time I had returned to base ………….. the head concierge was commendable for his apologies and efforts to reschedule but tardiness at this level is not professional nor indicative of the hotel’s standards. A decent enough stay but there are plenty of other hotels at this level to choose from in future.

Stayed for one week. Sea view room with balcony - a must! Fantastic breakfast - nothing is too much trouble for the staff. You ask for it and they will most probably be able to make it. Beach club area is fantastic - seaside beds with access to sea as well as two infinity pools. We did not use the spa facilities. Shout out to Francesco one of the porters, he was so helpful - not just with our luggage but with restaurant recommendations as well as local things to do. And always with a lovely smile and cheery hello. Twice daily room service. Huge comfy bed. What’s not to like about this place. We would return.

Pleasantly surprised at the beauty and convenience of this 4 star hotel that has been refurbished and is now boasting 5 stars and is part of the Small Luxury Hotel Collection. With the majority of the rooms being seafront you can enjoy a sweeping seafront view from within the room or on your balcony. Considering all the hotel sin Rapallo, if you are looking for the best view, I would recommend this hotel as the views are spectacular from your room, the terrace, the breakfast room, the pool and the Michelin recommended rooftop restaurant Le Cupole which I have no doubt will soon earn a Michelin star. And if a good spa is on your list of musts when vacationing, make sure to visit the spa that offers spa treatments in addition to many spa facilities for your relaxation. Located by a 10 minute scenic walk to town or with the hotel complimentary shuttle (by appointment)

Everything was fabulous: location, super friendly, professional and efficient staff, very clean, elaborate breakfast options, hot tub on roof top so tranquil and beautiful view, w/in easy walk to city center of Camogli restaurants or food at the hotel restaurant is amazing as well. Easy walk to train station. Can’t express enough how wonderful and helpful the front desk staff was to answer all our questions with assistance and a huge smile. Thank you so much to each of them, everything was perfect for our full week stay.

Thank you for a truly memorable stay recently at the brilliant Meliá Genova Hotel. We were absolutely spoiled by all the fantastic staff and the highest standard of service. All the facilities were first class and we cannot thank the brilliant staff enough for all their care, thoughtfulness and total professionalism throughout our visit.
