Great hotel close to city center near Coles and Southern Cross station, very convenient. There is a swimming pool, sauna room, steam room, arcade, and gym for all guests to use for free. Rooms are clean and spacious, but the heating can be improved. Amenities are provided in the bathroom.

The hotel located opposite to the Melbourne airport which is suitable for those morning flight and have morning call service. However, there is no thick curtain inside the room, the bright light outside and the flag moving which disturb sleeping. The hotel gave an invoice of mini bar before check out (inserted into our room at night and we found on the floor in the morning), we didn’t enjoy the mini bar and we didn’t check out, which is quite weird to receive the invoice. Besides this, hotel service is good and staffs are nice.

Great hotel for first time visitor in Melbourne! Comes with kitchen, mini fridge, microwave, dishwasher and equipped with utensils where you can cook steak and make salads. Just make sure to pull out the exhaust hood to prevent the smoke alarm to ring. Bedroom was very comfy I did not get any neck ache and back pain. Aircon and heater is working properly. Bathroom was a shower on the wall you can’t pull it out. No bidet. No robes, toothbrush, toothpaste and hotel slippers provided. No breakfast. Housekeeping only per request or after 2 days of stay Location is walking distance from parliament building and Chinatown, lots of Asian eateries around. Hotel is located within free tram zone, tram is just a few mins walk right infront of the hotel. You can go to St. kilda beach, southern cross station and queen Victoria market taking the free tram. Hotel customer service was superb my mum even received a bottle of red wine and handwritten letter for her birthday! 🥳

Before I went to Melbourne, I had had the negative experience of Mercure in Thailand and I didn't want to choose it, to be honest, but I didn't have any choice because the price and location were better than other places. Wow. I was surprise because everything was unexpected I can say thanks to the hotel 1.The location is good and it is located in the CBD. Convenient transportation, lots of Asian restaurants, supermarkets and convenient stores. It is not far from the place I had to work. 2.The staff are great and helpful with service mind. Yes, I found a Thai girl staff who is really nice. We received the good service. Even though, the policy is they clean the room 1 in 3 days, but I was ok because we had to save the world. 3.The size of the room is small and the size of the beds were small too but enough for sleeping well and everything in the room was clean and function well. 4.No water bottles. I understood that we had to drink water from the tab. I was used to it because I knew it well, but my boss was not used to it and couldn't accept this. Please make the remark in the booking or put a paper in the room so that some people can prepare themselves for this culture. However, thanks for the milk in the fridge. Just positive experiences with this hotel this time. Thanks to you all

There’s nothing like curtains to block the water from shower and the water just splashing around the toilet and the whole floor. If we knew this, we wouldn’t have booked this hotel. Location is perfect so I would recommend this hotel to people who don’t really care about shower.. Other rooms could be different and better than our room…

The room is quite nice and the location is good. It’s self checkin so I had to wait downstairs for a while as there was no staff and I wasn’t aware of this. There was a really a noisy alarm in the building across the street from my room and I asked to change room around midnight. The staff aren’t very accommodating and I couldn’t change room. Luckily the noise stopped after a while. The hotel is okay but I had actually just come from the Brady Hotel at Central Melbourne where the price and location is similar but with much better customer service. I’d suggest skipping the Ibis.

Pros: Location is great, shopping centre is just few minutes walk. - Young new staffs are friendly with impressive smiles, which overcomes my unpleasant check-in experience . Cons: - Hygiene: Inside the flat is clean, however the ventilation fan in toilet/bathroom does not work. - Rubbish on the 1st floor's roof (refer attach image) which just outside the bedroom windows including shoe, pants etc. - The major drawback is Check-in on the first day. Booked two nights and prepaid via Trip.com a day before, requested for ”high floor” subjected to availability. On the day of arrival just before 12pm, I was intend to drop the luggage then return later for check-in. But the Indian senior staff lady said that the room is ready which assigned on 2/F, on Saturday their booking is usually full so it is the only room available (Which is understandable), as I prepaid online in advance I had no choice but to accept it (but quite discouraging to prepaid on Trip.com anymore because the booking cannot be cancelled); Then after I handed my credit card to this Indian lady at counter (looks like a senior staff) I was informed that they'll charge an ”early check-in fee” of AUD30 (despite I keep reiterating that I can come back in the afternoon), she convinced me to join the Avani membership so she can waive the fee for me in favor. Was advised if I want a room on high floors, with better view, book on the Avani app instead.

Was very surprised to see that my room near the airport was spacious and very clean. My room also had new cooking facilities. Overall, the experience was positive and I would use this hotel again on my next client visit. If I had to nit pick, sound proofing between the room and hallway could be improved. Even on the top floor (5th), I could hear a lot of footsteps from the hallway - making it quite noisy for light sleepers like myself.

The service at the hotel was friendly, but the standard, accepting that it is a low cost hotel was below what I was expecting… all furniture has chips of paint missing and the couch and curtains have noticeable small rips, general discolouration and just a general worn down look. The bathroom and kitchen especially could do with a really deep clean… just some extra attention to washing down walls and nooks and crannies on top of the standard check out wipe over to actually make it appear more than surface clean… It’s really the small things; to provide 5 small bottles of shampoo and not conditioner, (asked the cleaners and they said no conditioner is issued) but claim to provide toiletries… no hairdryer, only 2 towels for one person for 2 nights; to provide a clothes washer but not laundry liquid to wash your clothes… but 6 tablets for the dishwasher? Odd choices that all added to my unwillingness to stay at this hotel again or recommend it. I did enjoy the gym also the locations proximity to Aldi for clothes washing liquid, conditioner, and cleaning wipes so i could feel comfortable sitting in a dirty room..

The location is perfect. Although the hotel arranges airport shuttle, it is literally a 5-10 minute walk away. The room was well laid out and the bed was comfortable. I was in room 948 and being an aviation fan, I throughly enjoyed the views of the Airport runway. Staff were extremely professional and courteous. Check in and check out was very efficient. The hotel does not provide drinking water bottles in the room. My room rate included breakfast and I must say I was very impressed with the spread and quality.

My wife and I had an early morning departure and the thought of getting up at 4.00 am or earlier, and driving to the airport had no appeal. So we stayed one night at HI, using their package for a one night stay and 4 nights parking. We usually park next to the terminals, so premium parking charges apply. For us the overnight cost including parking for 7 days was only marginally more then we would have paid for premium parking, really good value for our money. The hotel is geared to the high turnover of arriving and departing passengers and caters for them very well. Check in/out is rapid, friendly and professional. The dining room and bar staff get on with the job, in good spirits. The menu is ideal, catering for hungry travelers from many places with appropriate and well priced, and tasty cuisine. Our room was probably the basic offering, but quite large, spotless and comfortable. Transfers to/from the airport, a 3/ minute ride were handled expeditiously at no charge. We parked our car beside the hotel in a secure zone and it was ready to go on arrival. All up with were very pleased with the package and would recommend it to anyone like ourselves, avoiding the challenge (traffic jams) of an early departure.

We booked this new hotel out of curiosity and trust of large brand, but quite disappointed The hotel located at an area outside t4, next to the big parking building/bus terminal, but there are no/minimum signage/directions leading to the hotel, while only one arrow at the bus terminal pointing at the big building with the large novotel logo, making everyone thinks that we can access the hotel through the well lighted bus terminal with ease, but sadly there is no crossing facilities between the terminal and hotel, you will need to lift your luggages, jaywalking through two car lane and climbing up the lane islands if you dont want to walk back 200m for the unnoticeable correct route; in fact the only route leading to the hotel from the airport is the side walk OPPOSITE to the big arrow with poor lightings and no signage at all. As a tourist with heavy luggage, thanks for offering the chance to weight lifting. When we arrived and reflect the problem, concierge said they also received similar complains. So nothing has been done to correct the nonsense and good luck to all the up coming visitors. The room is decent to be honest and with a clear view facing the car park building we mentioned earlier, no much to see yet no problem for us too. Bed is soft and comfortable allowing us to have some good rest. However, theres an empty black bottle in the rubbish bin i believed to be the leftover from the last guest, hope the housekeeper can have a closer look in the future. Some facilities have great designs that i would like to greet the designer/procurement and admire their mastermind for installing those equipment and challenge the wisdom of humankind. For instance: the anti-intuitive shower switch for change to top shower or handheld shower head, it is semi cylinder disguised as part of wall mount of the top shower, which is about 1.9m - 2m from the ground, for those who cant find the switch and not tall enough will have to stick with what was preset. Second, the hot water dispenser at the breakfast bar, you can simply press the two buttons on top and nothing would happen, turns out there is an extra sensor you need to block with your thumb and use another finger to press the buttons on top, this can encourage guests to give up on the hot water if no one is around to ask. The breakfast is the most disappointing part, frankly all quality are high standard but the choices are few and basic, simply bacons/ eggs/ veges/ salad/ hams (well the mushrooms are very impressive though), there is also a honey hive (with a rectangular frame) but mostly empty at the middle (at the time of 7am) where the side are hard to spoon out, ppl try very hard but the loose stands make it even harder to spoon out, the frame eventually collapse and guest gave up to take the hive. No staff notice/try to fix the collapsed honey hive/ change to a new one during my whole breakfast ( around half an hour) and remain the same when we left. The pancakes supposed to be eat with the honey are dry and inedible imo too. The price for the hotel is not cheap comparing to the nearing but the standard does not meet up with the price, facilities are new and thats the only advantage on the table. PS: the hotel offer free shuttle to the terminals too, try to mention and book for your shuttle as there are only 3-4 seats if everyone have large luggages, otherwise the concierge will be surprised you did not ask for this hidden service with no mentioning during check in and no timetable ever provided when you check with them in the morning.

The Apollo Apartments in Apollo Bay is a fantastic place to lay your head for the night. All of the apartments are fully self contained. Close to pubs, restaurants and shops and the beautiful Apollo Bay Beach across the road There is onsite parking available underneath the units. There is a lift if you have trouble using stairs. The staff never mentioned it though and just said where the stairs were. If you have issues using stairs this may not be the best place to stay if the lift was not available. Overall it was great value and a very nice and tidy apartment. You could easily base yourself here and do all of the Great Ocean Road touristy things.

Kids love this place! 3km from Apollo Bay center. Just be aware most of shops and restaurants close at 8pm. Room is clean. Beds are comfortable. Check in and out just need to signed the form and left the key at reception. vr convenient. Most important is the view! Amazing! Wish I can wake up here every morning!

We were overall very pleased with our stay here. From when I rung with questions before booking online (& then booked over phone instead) to when we left, we were looked after well by Anna & another female receptionist (whose name I did not catch). Our room was very clean, in particular the bathroom, which was a priority for us. Basic modern room, which is all we needed. Location was fantastic. We would just all bring our own pillows should we stay again in the future to help improve our sleep quality, as although the beds were comfy none of us felt the pillows were.

I booked this hotel based on the reviews I read on TA and Google. I made the right decision. The location is very good, short 5 minute walk to the beachfront, restaurants and grocery stores. I had a ground floor room, very clean, adequate furniture for 2 people with 2 chairs, work desk and outdoor table and chairs. It’s not 5 star, but you shouldn’t expect that with the price. Bed was comfortable, hot water aplenty but it does take a few minutes to come through the pipes. I extended the booking and the owner was happy to offer a discount. Would I stay again - YES

Stayed 2 nights in a double room with king bed. Reasonable price for a luxurious room I would honestly call hotel-standard. Extremely spacious room and bathroom. Well equipped kitchen. Entire place, including bathroom, was spotless. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good wifi speed. Excellent location in town on the main street, close to all the shops and beach.

We had a house layout for our family stay, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living and dining room. A very cosy setup and very smart details, like heating lights in the toilet (it gets very cold in winter and the nice warm lights in toilet helps with the cold). The beds come with heating pads as well which is a great surprise. The kitchen was very well furnished and we love the warm lightings in the house. Great decorations in the house, makes me want to do the same for my own place. Just a very cosy, welcoming place to stay. Great for family want to stay more than 1 night. Location is at Apollo Bay town and just across the beach. Near eateries and groceries. The place is so welcoming that you simply want to cook and eat with the family. Thanks so much for warm reception and thanks for keeping the place so cosy.

We arrived late at 7PM and the receptionist gone. But they are very organised and no hassle at all. Love it. They left the message on my email, with a code number to take the key in the motel. They also left the phone number which I could reach to the receptionist directly. Room is clean, quite, spacious. Parking lot is easy. Love love love this place.

Decent sized room with a sofa, bed, large TV, fan and good air conditioning. My partner wasn't keen on the comfort of the bed, but I was fine - so perhaps her side was more worn in than mine! The bathroom was old and outdated, shower head very average and shower curtain super annoying as it flies in and touches you while washing... hated that. By way of cleanliness can't complain, and the room smelt fresh on arrival which is always nice. We only stayed for 2 nights, and that's all I would stay for in this style of accomodation.

Anna and Duncan are consummate hosts and their hotel is simply fabulous. Our room had a wonderful balcony where we could sit and enjoy the sunshine. The room was amazing with a great shower but best of all a HUGE bathtub in the bedroom! Breakfast was delicious. We foolishly left our key at reception when we went out and came back to find the door locked (this was during the day!) so rang Anna who immediately told us there were staff on site and someone came and opened the door; everyone was very kind.

Great apartment. Close to the coast though wished it was right by it. Do note that there’s only 1 bathroom though in the 2 bedroom apartment. Good car parking though.
