This was a very pleasant simple experience for my driving through I 70 on my way across US from Massachusetts to California. The folks were very personable. The room was huge, clean with a working fridge and microwave. the bed was a king as I remember and firm. It was just very nice and very reasonable. The hotel must’ve been an older Holiday Inn that I remember as a kid from the 1970s. It was solid construction, and it had been updated and kept up. These right on the interstate kinds of places can run the gamut of very decent like this one to absolutely horrible, and I will mention the name because I got burned at the Quality Inn 7125 Miller Lane in Dayton Ohio off of I-70. That place is horrible. And I had good luck with Quality Inns across the country in this early July 2024 trip.

Everyone was nice and the room was also.

We had a 2-night stay in a Deluxe Cabin. The one we had was obviously refurbished recently as it was all new carpet in the bedrooms. Everything was clean and updated. Our view was great and we’re steps away from the paved trail along the Lake as well as the lodge pool. The cottage provides a covered porch with nice furniture. I would not recommend more than 4 people in a cottage (2-3 is ideal). The fridge is larger than a typical hotel room fridge. They also provide a toaster, plates cups silverware, paper towels, Keurig coffee machine with Starbucks. We brought our own food for breakfast, and ate in restaurants outside the lodge or got takeout to bring back. The bathroom is amazing. There is no TV in the queen bedroom only in the king and living area. The only negative we had was being surrounded by a family reunion that had multiple cottages around us. It’s set up like an RV or trailer park where you are close to your neighbors. They were up very late, walking and talking outside of our windows. We didn’t get to use the fire pit because they took that over each night. But the lodge has large patio spaces with fire pits too. We used the pool each day. One evening I did a night swim. The pool is heated. The lodge itself is very grand and lovely and been refurbished. I would recommend this location 100 times. We want to go back in the Fall.

Location of the hotel way great for our needs. Check on was fast and simple since we prepaid for the stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. This hotel was better than the another hotel we just stayed in prior to our arrival. We did not eat in the restaurant so I can't comment on the food. I would stay here again when we come to Strongsville.

Billie was super helpful - she is a cheerful spirit and I appreciate her dedication. The rooms were clean and we used their catering service: the Beef Wellington was excellent. I would not hesitate to bring my group to this facility again. Thank you

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Although listed as a Marriot Property, it is not managed or maintained by the Marriott corporation (and it really reflects this issue!). I have continuously stayed at this hotel for the past 4 years and have watched it substantially decline. I am a Marriott Silver Elite member and have liked the convenience of being able to access my car versus the Marriott Courtyard a few blocks away. I have always wondered why this Marriott was not up to standards in terms of mechanical issues (on two occasions-no working a.c. in the room (this week I had to move rooms at 11 p.m. at night); poorly stocked kitchen, paper, towels and even missing the coffee basket this time). I asked, dropped lists, and never received them. During this particular stay, my first room had one bed that had a lot of hair on the inside of the sheets and pillow. It made me question if the bed had just been made, not changed. The food has always been minimal and you really need to bring your own. I am not even picky, but it is ridiculous. Well, after tolerating continuously barking dogs and people fighting in the room next door at 1:45 a.m.-none of which is the hotel's fault, I arrived home to 2 angry phone messages that I had not checked out and the hotel was booked, etc. etc. and the second individual was extremely nasty. Well, the paper bill I received at checkout clearly recorded the time at 7:48 a.m. -so what is your issue? When I called today to make sure we were all set with this issue, the gentleman was extremely indifferent, bordering on rude. Most of the staff act this way-as if the occupants are ”pains in the butt”-very unprofessional and it makes you afraid to ask for anything. I am really not confident they know what they are doing technologically. It makes you feel terrible and scratching your head if you have stayed at a real Marriot (at any level) . On the ”plus” side, the rooms are spacious, and the location to some very good restaurants outside the door, CWRU, the medical centers and the museum area is outstanding. One manager, the night I had to move went way out of the way to move me and make sure the next room was cooled down and ready with the lights on-and I didn't even ask to move. He was the only good experience in this last stay. The Marriott Corporation needs to intervene or remove the company's association.

Perfect hotel

A very contemporary and not well thought out room design with one chair, no lamps by the bed, the soap dispenser in the shower was empty for two days, the light switches make a loud clicking sound when turned off or on, not like a regular switch at home that is quiet, the sliding door for the bathroom toilet shower area runs into the wall with speed and force causing a banging sound against the tile baseboard. Not easy to be quiet when someone is sleeping. In addition, no parking available, so a valet and $35 per night should be added to the cost. We had a room that overlooks the lake and the train track, which is well used. Between the bar music downstairs and the train, it's not a very peaceful stay. The two elevator system to enter the hotel and then to the rooms was confusing and I got sick of being an elevator flunkie at the end of two days. the lobby is cold and inhospitable with metal chairs and tables, low seating and neon lighting. I made the reservation with a date to cancel by, and the date after the cancellation date I received an email describing the parking situation that costs $35 per night, not including the valet tip for every entry and exit, and the possible noise issue with a promise to move the room to a quieter location if it's troublesome. We tried to get breakfast in the hotel as there were two restaurants, and neither are open in the am. there us a kitchen in the lobby where you can have a breakfast sandwich made, but its not anything I would do again. I did find parking right across the street for $17 per night and a self serve booth. The restaurant on the main level, Lagos, was excellent, although pricey. The staff was excellent, friendly, helpful. It's like a hotel designed by a 20 something self described designer that doesn't have a lot of experience staying at a hotel. Kind of a swing and a miss but I guess the location is good for the newly developing downtown area.

We stayed in this hotel in March 2022 and it wasn't bad at all. We had no shower gel, and no maid service but they said that was because of Covid. Okay. We just stayed there again this past weekend, for 4 nights, and the place has gone downhill a lot in 6 months. No one mentioned there was no maid service now unless you're staying a week or more. You must get your towels from the front desk. Add to that, they were still out of shower gel and we had to once again get in in a cup from the front desk. The young blond woman working the desk in the day is helpful, at least she responds and smiles when you look her way or need help. But the women at night were engrossed in their phones, never even looking up. It looks sloppy and very unprofessional. The male housekeeper in my hallway (third floor) had his hip-hop music so loud, I could still hear it once I got in my room. Our room was also across from the electrical/mechanical room so the men would talk loudly outside our door. (Note the room number 350-AVOID). Trash sat outside rooms because, once again, there was no maid service for under a week, and most of it was there my entire 4-night stay. I also made note of a plastic fork in my hallway EVERY day I was there, even AFTER housekeeping had cleaned some of the rooms for guests who had checked out. There was also trash in the elevator daily. The carpeting in the halls was dirty, too. Our room was somewhat clean, but I could write my name in the dust on the TV stand, and the kitchen needed a major cleaning, as well as the refrigerator. We needed ice but there was no ice machine, so you had to make ice in your freezer. The pillows smelled of oily hair, which was a huge turn-off. And our room description said we had a ”recliner” but we had a sofa with a lounge side. Big difference. Of course the frosting on the cake was the fire alarm going off on Sunday morning because someone down our hall didn't know how long to pop popcorn. SMH This hotel is drastically, and I mean DRASTICALLY overpriced at $133-151 a night. I would say $59 TOPS would be the max, once I got a peek at the place. Anyway, I would strongly urge you to avoid this place and seek one of the hotels in Beachwood off Chagrin Blvd. That's where we'll be on our next visit.

Hilton hotels are my usual go to place to stay…you can’t go wrong. This location was no exception. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, great breakfast options. As with most places I stay these days when traveling, I would love if Hilton hotels would go back to firmer pillows. The industry in general seems to have decided everyone prefers a soft, fake goose down pillow. Personally, I feel like I am going to suffocate during the night and have difficulty sleeping on one The above is not a negative for this location, just the industry. I recommend this location and would stay here again.

The good: everything was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. Lobby areas were inviting. Room darkening blinds really worked, and the room was very quiet. Wifi worked (although not great in the room). However, the room was not ideal for multiple people. The bathroom was split, with a door for the toilet/bathtub, but the sink area (including outlets for hairdryer) open to the bedroom. This meant that if someone was sleeping, you would bother them if you used the sink area. The mini-fridge was tiny, the coffee-maker was also very small. There weren't enough outlets in the room for more than one person, and, as often in a 2Q room, there were no tables on the outer edges of the beds. Courtyards do not provide free breakfast. There is a cafe in the lobby where you could buy breakfast (which we did not try), or there is a Bob Evans restaurant across the street (easy to walk) that did online takeout orders (or dine-in). Area was safe, lots of restaurants around, and easy access to the highway.

We had booked a stay at the Home2Suites on September 1, 2024 for an event in Columbus during the weekend of September 20, 2024. On September 18, 2024, I received an e-mail from ******* (our booking site) from Home2Suites saying that our reservation had been cancelled. That's it, with no explanation. I talk with ******* and they call the hotel and the hotel's explanation is that they no longer have rooms available. I had a reservation. I had already paid, yet they just cancel my reservation during an event weekend. I had to get a hotel at a greater cost in another city (Dayton), and will now drive to the event. I talked to the hotel directly and the very nice clerk (who was clearly not involved in this) said that their manager told them that the system allowed them to overbook so they cancelled our reservation and they apologized. Incompetent management, incompetent hotel, but very friendly desk clerk. Will never recommend or stay here or Home2Suites.

had a great stay at Hyatt Place Columbus OSU! was in town for a friend's wedding and they got a block of rooms. We don't travel very often and so are usually a little nervous, but things went great, we had great and helpful service whenever we had questions as well. Breakfast, which was included, was surprisingly good across the board in terms of both freshness and flavor (compared to some previous hotel breakfasts at different hotel chains). We also had a very nice and spacious room with couch, large tv, super comfy bed, etc. Would recommend this place and use it again if we are in town.

Location is great. rooms very small with not many amenities. bar was overpriced! Also two weeks later still awaiting our refund as we prepaid on trip.com yet they billed us anyhow. annoying.

I had a great experience. The staff went out of there way to help us. They gave us a late checkout and plates for our pizza. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I will definitely be coming back next year for Buckeye countryfest if we go.

The customer service was outstanding! Judith went and made a whole new carafe of hot chocolate for us; Jose made two trips up to our room to bring us extra towels and pillows and brought a few extra items for our stay; and Amy, the manager on duty when we stayed, was exceptionally helpful, informative and friendly. I was so pleased I gave Amy a hug upon our departure! The hot tub was on point. The only thing I wish is that the dining area was serving food during our stay. We thought it would be, which is one of the reasons I selected this hotel; but it wasn't open for food service Thursday night.....so we had to go out for dinner.

The Hyatt place has the perfect rooms for us when we travel to the Ohio Expo for horse related events and shows. We prefer the rooms over other hotels, the beds are comfortable, we get a room with a sofa bed. The wall separating the bedroom and sofa is nice when I want to read before the rest of my family gets up in the morning. The sink and counter space outside the bathroom has plenty of room for two of us to get ready at the same time. It's a bonus to have coffee and tea in the room since I usually get up before breakfast is served. There's a good Mexican restaurant across the road from the hotel, Starbucks and Chipolte just a couple blocks away. Breakfast has always been good an the staff keeps it well stocked during busy times. The location is a quick drive to the Ohio Expo Center.

The hotel manager was so accommodating to our hockey team. They welcomed us with open arms! Kids were so excited to see balloons in the team colors! Hot chocolate bar. He even opened breakfast up to our team at 5am for an early game. Gave super late checkout to accommodate late flights! They seriously went above and beyond. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more. Rooms were super spacious for me and my two boys!

Of my three Marriott stays in July and August, 2024, this Residence Inn was by far the best! I was there for about five nights for a Church Conference, and found the service to be exceptional. From my check-in with Titan and Beverly, to the courtesy extended by Chuck, our porter, my heart was kindly touched. Did I mention the kitchen staff provided a variety of delicious selections for their guests? College students were staying there preparing for their freshman year; however, the atmosphere was always tranquil. This was one of the best and blessed trips I’ve had in a very long time.
