Amazing hostel! The receptionists are really helpful and nice with the guests. They helped me to book some attraction tickets and they were always available to meet any need. The terrace view id a plus if you are staying during the summer time! Not really easy to find (narrow street in the pic) but it's really quite considering is located in the vibrant Muslim district

I stayed at Desti Hostel during 3 nights. Everything was amazing. The rooms and bathrooms were really clean. There is a whole female-only floor which is really great. They give you slippers to walk around the hostel. I used the washing machine and they were really easy to use through Alipay for a someone who doesn’t speak chinese, the reception even provides free pods detergent for your washing. You have also have a drinking water dispenser in the lobby The location is perfect, it is a 5 minutes walk to the Muslim Quarter, you are night next to the Bell Towerand you have a direct bus that leaves to the Teracotta warriors right next to the hostel. For anyone staying in Xi’An, this is a great way place to stay.

Traffic is very convenience, Clean and big rooms, i speacialy like bed and pillows, very warmhearted staffs, i am feel pleased for this time's stay, THANK YOU

The service was friendly and quick, and the staff made check-in easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were well maintained. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and good value for the price.

A Truly Memorable Stay – Incredible Hospitality at the Foot of Mount Huashan I stayed here while preparing to hike the legendary Mount Huashan from the bottom, and I can honestly say the experience was made all the more special thanks to the incredible kindness and hospitality of the owners. From the moment I arrived, the owners went out of their way to make me feel at home. They provided a detailed and helpful briefing on how to explore the mountain safely, including routes, timings, and what to expect—something that gave me great confidence going into such a challenging hike. The real highlight, however, was their extraordinary help when I accidentally left my camera in a taxi. What could have been a disaster turned into a heartwarming reminder of genuine human kindness. The owners took it upon themselves to contact the driver, coordinate the return, and made sure I got my camera back safely. They didn’t have to go to such lengths, but they did so without hesitation. They were also incredibly accommodating when it came to practical matters—arranging food deliveries after a long day on the trail, and organizing a smooth taxi ride back to the train station when it was time to leave. If you're planning to hike Mount Huashan and are looking for a place that feels more like staying with family than in a hotel, this is the one. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Great location in the Muslim Quarter. Lots of food around, short walk to the bell tower, near the buses to the Terracotta Army, and a short subway ride to all the other main attractions. It’s down an alley, but there are a lot of signs t make to it easy to find, and it also means it’s very quiet despite being in the middle of a popular area. The owners were friendly. I visited in winter and they made sure the room was heated in advance of my arrival. It was quite cozy.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent - very convenient and close to everything I needed. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help, which made my stay even more pleasant. I truly felt welcomed and would happily come back again. Highly recommended 💛

The photos on Trip.com are misleading (too good compared to reality). The room we were assigned was also much smaller than the one we booked. We asked for a room change, but it was even worse, so we stayed in the original room. Based on the room photos, in terms of room amenities we expected to find: a bigger room with a desk and a chair (not a stool), a tv, and a coat rack. There is nowhere to hang jackets. The main issue though is that the hotel is old and poorly maintained. The room floor was dirty with food crumbs scattered around. The Wi-Fi is poor, barely usable. Some outlets next to the bed were not working. At least one bathroom light was not working. One bright side, excellent location for visiting the city and a very competitive price (now we understand why).

The problem is just the cleanliness, the toilet is really messy and nasty, but the rooms are nice, clean bed sheets , no stinky smell on the pillows or anything which makes a balance with the poor hygiene, the boss was really helpful, he's on alert whenever you need something, there is no noise or anything that bothers at night besides the smoke smell in some spots close to the rooms because they secretly smoke.the motel is in a good location, not so far from muslim street and stuff and ofc it was worth the experience especially if you're staying just for a night or two , i don't recommend more

The facilities were excellent the service was warm and attentive the location was ideal😀 But during my stay in the dorm, I did face some challenges with nighttime noise It was the loudest and longest snoring I've ever heard😮💨 Even noise-cancelling earphones couldn’t block it out, which made it difficult to get proper rest and impacted my entire travel plans Of course, this is something that can occasionally happen in shared accommodations I would recommend considering the 8-bed or 4-bed dorms for a more restful experience😀 That being said, the dorm itself was truly fantastic, and I’d be happy to stay again. I feel like I need another visit to Xi’an to fully enjoy everything this beautiful city has to offer😁
