Hotel 2-Star di North Sumatra, Indonesia

The bathing place directly on the lake is good but the rooms use fans, you can't drink bottles, the rooms smell damp, the floors are sandy, there is no room cleaning service. The price is right🙏 view the photos uploaded below

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Medan train station, right on the street next to Tjong A Fie Mansion. The doorman helps with luggage, and there's an ATM inside the hotel entrance. The lobby also has a restaurant where you can order lunch and dinner at your own expense. The room isn't huge, but the bed is comfortable. The only downside is the modified motorbikes in Indonesia, which are incredibly loud. There aren't many vehicles during the hot daytime, but as evening approaches, the noise gets progressively worse, continuing until well past 2 AM. In the evening, there are also many drink stalls near the hotel, playing loud music. The shower has great water pressure, making for a very comfortable shower and hair wash. Breakfast is included, offering good value for money.

Loved this place — amazing from head to toe. The waterfront view was absolutely beautiful and made the stay feel special from the moment I arrived. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, and the food was excellent throughout the stay. Everything was well done and thoughtfully maintained. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

Alvina Hotel & Cafe is one of the best budget hotel in Pematang Siantar city. It is located at the Megaland complex, which is around 5 minutes drive away from the city center. It is a modern hotel that is equipped with cafe on the ground floor, meeting room and rooftop restaurant. Within walking distance from the hotel, there are housing complex, business centres, restaurant, etc. Room rate was still affordable. The Standard Room was quite cramped. The room came with air conditioning, TV set, in house telephone, in room dining, mineral water, hot and cold water shower. Free WiFi was available at the room and the speed was not bad.The bed comfiness was just so so. Free simple buffet breakfast was provided for all in house guests. Taste of the food was good. Breakfast spread was consisted of rice with dishes, fried rice, fried noodle, toast, porridge, slice fruit, traditional cakes, tea and coffee. The hotel staff's hospitality was not bad. Parking was provided at the road side in front of the hotel.

The place are quite new big room & still need to improved more. No TV, no AC either fan in the room. Nice bed, nice View from the room & got more plug at the room. Just need to walk down and up the stair too much. No short cut. So far the owner was kind & helpful. TQ Penginapan Mafir. 

I recently stayed at Cemara Asri Inn, and overall, it was a decent experience with a few highlights and areas for improvement. What I liked: The location is excellent — it’s right in the heart of Cemara Asri, with plenty of great food options nearby, from local street food to cozy cafés and restaurants. It’s convenient for both short stays and business trips. What could be better: The main downside was the cleanliness. The room and bathroom could definitely use more attention to detail — things looked a bit worn, and some areas didn’t feel as fresh or tidy as they should be. If you’re looking for a place with a strategic location and easy access to food, this hotel is worth considering. But if cleanliness is your top priority, you may want to set your expectations accordingly.

Keep in mind that electricity on the island is periodically turned off, for several hours (5-6 hours). Otherwise this is a great place. Delicious and varied cuisine, excellent views, helpful staff, some rooms have a lot of ants, but it’s possible to find the best option. Excellent entry into the lake.

Staying at Collection O near Museum Pusaka Karo, formerly 3 Berastagi, is quite comfortable for a budget hotel. Its strategic location, close to the Museum Pusaka Karo, makes it easy to get around. The rooms are clean and standard, perfect for a relaxing break. The amenities are quite complete for the price, and the staff is friendly. Overall, it's worth it if you're looking for affordable accommodation in Berastagi 👍
