Hotel 5-Star di Gansu, China

I'm not sure how to review this stay. I booked it because it's a Hyatt, but after checking in, I found an empty cigarette pack from a previous guest (my friend and I are two women) scattered in the corner when I opened the curtains. The breakfast was indeed good, but there was a hair in the peanuts. Although the manager promptly offered us homemade chili sauce, the gap between my expectations and reality was just too big. Regarding the cigarette pack, I reported it immediately and connected with them on WeChat, but to this day, I haven't received any explanation or apology. On the bright side, the front desk lady was really pretty, patient, and enthusiastic. She even helped us check in efficiently right before her shift ended.

This stay was absolutely fantastic, five stars all around! The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of amenities nearby. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive; check-in and check-out were a breeze, and they were very quick to respond to any requests. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. All the facilities were complete and in perfect working order, and the bathroom amenities were top-notch. The hotel environment was quiet, and the natural lighting was great, making for a truly comfortable stay. The breakfast offered a rich variety of options and tasted delicious, catering to different preferences. Overall, it's excellent value for money. It's perfect whether you're traveling for leisure or business. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area!

This hotel looked incredible! From top to bottom, it was clear that the designers took style seriously. The rooms gave off a sense of luxury that few other hotels in this process range have. The carpets, floors, doors, cabinets, beds etc. emitted a sense of tranquility, which made me feel very comfortable. Also, after travelling around China for nearly a month, I can say that this was by far the best breakfast I've had at roughly a dozen hotels. The staff were professional, everything was very clean, and the location could not have been better. My only issues: there was no air conditioning, and my room was very hot at night. Additionally, when the rooms next to you are watching television, you can hear everything in your room.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hilton Lanzhou City Centre. Many thanks to front office staff, Debbie who attended to us warmly and responsively. The hotel's location was good and the check-in was very fast. Our high-floor room was clean and comfortable, the best is, choice of pillows is granted. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunrise view of the city from our window. A point to note, the room window can only be unlocked by staff for cooler air flow as the central heating system is in operation for the current winter season. We also loved the fragrant of the toiletries. Buffet breakfast spread was tasty and varied. We spent a relaxing time enjoying our breakfast slowly.

Dunhuang, a famous city of art and culture, exudes historical and cultural charm everywhere. This is my second visit, and winter brings a different experience. The air feels fresher than in summer, although the northwest wind is biting cold [grinning face emoji]. Choosing to stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Dunhuang, the first international brand hotel in the city, was truly excellent. Front desk manager Anna provided exceptional service, not only paying close attention to our needs and comfort but also saving us unnecessary travel expenses. Most touching was that when I needed to work and reply to emails, she lent me her laptop and allowed us to return it at check-out. This truly exceeded the hotel's service expectations. Thank you Anna for her meticulous service over these three days! Thumbs up for her! 👍🏻 Thumbs up for the hotel! 👍🏻 This proves the hotel's management system is excellent. The hotel is a bit out of the city center, a 20-minute drive from the West High-Speed ​​Railway Station. Aside from being close to the Yellow River Tower, there aren't many other attractions. My husband checked in alone, lugging two large suitcases, and there was no bellhop to assist him at the gate after we got off the train. The room was standard, business-style, with only one sink, which was a bit inconvenient. Dinner was in the executive lounge, where the menu was limited and every dish was spicy. The only meat dish was chicken wings, and there was no hot noodle station. Because my child had a slight fever, I asked if we could have a bowl of vegetable noodles. One of the waiters coldly said they only had simple fare, leaving me speechless. Later, a woman named Chen approached to check on the child and offered to cook a bowl of noodles from the buffet restaurant downstairs. This was truly commendable; they finally restored the service and standards expected of an international chain hotel. While we were dining, a hotel promotional video was being filmed nearby.

The room is spacious, comfortable and stylish, the breakfast has local characteristics, and parking is convenient. It is the best hotel in Jiuquan and the stay is very comfortable!

We stayed at the hotel in late 2025.3 Everything exceeded our expectations. When I book, it seems the location outside the city is a drawback of this hotel, which is compensated by a free pickup. But for a sightseeing trip in ZhangYe and with services the hotel has to offer, the location doesn't matter at all. Not to mention that the hotel's car+driver offer is quite competitive compared to what we have pre-booked. ###Room###: The room was spacious with comfortable beds and lots of amenities. WiFi speed is decent. There is also a public washing & drying machine, where the maid offered to wash our clothes. ###Restaurant###: The breakfast was plenty. The dinner offer a wide variety of local and standard dishes at an accpetable price. We got a free decent late night snack/dessert (with milk for children) delivered to the room at night. ###Staff###: The staff was very attentive. It started with the driver waiting at the train staion exit. Then we were greeted at the hotel by a staff with a good command of English. The staff has good knowledge of sightseeing spots in ZY. At dinner, the staffs made their best to help us understand the menu, patiently expained the food choices, as well as help estimate how much food we should order. (We are traveling with 2 children.) When we arrive back at the hotel in the evening, they enthusiasticly offered to help carry our stuffs. Tips are not expected nor accepted. If I have to comment, a moisturizing lotion and extra blankets in the room would help when the weather is cold. This hotel will definitely be my first choice if we ever come to Zhangye again.

The staffs are very helpful and delightful to serve. They upgraded our room and early checking in for us, plus gave us extra complementary breakfast due to early arrival. The air-conditioning was a bit warm but ok after late night/ over night. Currently no self laundry equipments on site, not a big deal since we were not in rush. Location is very convenient for all necessities,

This is the second time I have stayed here. The room is very spacious. Although it is an old hotel, I can feel the quality of the decoration and the facilities are complete. The hotel is very large, and the greenery, water system, pavilions and towers are all very beautiful. It is like living in a big park. It is a good choice for travel and leisure. It is very close to Kongtong Mountain Scenic Area, less than ten minutes' drive. We climbed Kongtong Mountain on the first day and brought the elderly with us. It rained on the second day. Just walk around the hotel and go to the swimming pool for free. The elderly had a lot of fun and were not tired. In the afternoon, we enjoyed the scenery, drank tea and chatted on the terrace of the room, and went to the restaurant to eat delicious hand-pulled lamb in the evening. The service staff are very enthusiastic, especially the Xiao Li team in the guest room building No. 5, who made us really feel what it means to feel at home. Thank you very much.
