Hotel 5-Star di Gansu, China

We are a family of two adults and two young children travelling with my in laws staying at a room with loft and a twins deluxe for 6 consecutive nights (had to extend the stay for 2 nights due to unforeseen circumstances). In our opinion, this hotel definitely fits into the 5 star rating category though not sure why the rating is marked as only 3 stars on trip.com. All staff that we interacted with at concierge, reception, restaurant, housekeeping and lounge were eager to help, professional and friendly. Housekeeping recognised my in laws has mobility issue and protectively provided additional accessibility facilities for their room. The rooms are modernly designed, spacious and clean. The gym is well equipped and the swimming pool has been excellently maintained, with water temperature that's just perfect. There's also a fairly hidden kids playing area (not very big) which the kids enjoyed spending ages at. Breakfast choices are diverse with local, broader Chinese and typical Western options available. Signature LanZhou noodles soup is a must every morning. For travellers not intending to dine out at night, we highly recommend paying a little bit extra for a room with club access as the light dinner it provides with the room is well worth the money. Overall, we had a very positive experience at the hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone. With that said, here are a few areas that we are not used to, which are common issues across hotels in China: 1. There is cigarette smell at various parts of the hotel. While this is not a constant issue, I personally have expected there's absolutely no such unpleasant smell at all throughout our entire stay (for a hotel that we deem to be 5 stars). In our mind, perhaps there can be better room allocation based on smoking and non smoking floors, and stricter enforcement of no smoking policy near common areas where there can be smoke drift. The reception area in particular is a hot spot for cigarette smell. 2. For visitors like us travelling from overseas, the rooms' air-conditioning setting are just too warm for us. As the heat setting was centrally controlled, we couldn't change it to a setting that kept the room to a temperature of low 20s. We ended up just completely switching them off and the hotel provided us with a separate cool air generating machine which helped to a degree. 3. For our initial booking of 4 nights, we were somewhat disappointed our loft room does not have the river view (noting that the room booking type for loft rooms made no distinction to river or city view, so we had assumed all rooms have river view). With all that said, we believe the first two issues are probably not unique to this hotel specifically in China, and the last issue can probably be resolved by making our expectation clear during booking, which makes this hotel still one of the best in the area.

這次入住體驗超出預期，整體環境清幽雅緻，被綠植和自然景色包圍，一進來就覺得特別放鬆。房間乾淨整潔，佈置温馨，視野很好，推開窗就能感受到清新空氣，晚上特別安靜，睡得很安穩。公共區域打理得很用心，散步、拍照都很出片，很適合遠離城市喧囂、放鬆身心。無論是家庭出遊、朋友小聚還是獨自靜養都很合適，性價比高，體驗感很棒，下次度假還會再來！

This hotel looked incredible! From top to bottom, it was clear that the designers took style seriously. The rooms gave off a sense of luxury that few other hotels in this process range have. The carpets, floors, doors, cabinets, beds etc. emitted a sense of tranquility, which made me feel very comfortable. Also, after travelling around China for nearly a month, I can say that this was by far the best breakfast I've had at roughly a dozen hotels. The staff were professional, everything was very clean, and the location could not have been better. My only issues: there was no air conditioning, and my room was very hot at night. Additionally, when the rooms next to you are watching television, you can hear everything in your room.

酒店專車司機提前聯繫接機，短短5分鐘車程便感受到蘭州人的熱情；前台小何小姐姐主動升級房型，窗外T3客運大樓的跑道景觀盡收眼底，夜幕下飛機起降的光影宛如動態藝術畫。走廊化身沉浸式藝廊，慶陽皮影非遺展示與敦煌元素裝飾相映成趣，讓每一步都踏在絲路文化的韻律中。 房間設計堪稱“細節控的福音”：智能客控系統一鍵調節燈光窗簾，乾濕分離衞浴配備高端備品，尤其是超大浴缸搭配柔和燈光，洗去旅途疲憊的同時，還能透過落地窗眺望機場夜景，商務出行也能擁有度假儀式感。床品軟硬適中，關窗後隔音極佳，即便臨近跑道也能安睡整晚。 餐飲同樣令人印象深刻。暄和全日餐廳的早餐融合隴菜特色與西式經典，現煮牛肉麪湯頭濃郁，搭配新鮮瓜果與現磨咖啡，開啟元氣滿滿的一天。健身房設施專業，商務間隙也能舒展身心。 四星標價，五星體驗，更有超越星級的文化共鳴。蘭州機場佰翔不僅是一家酒店，更是絲路空港的一張人文名片——讓匆忙的停留，變成一場詩意的旅行。值得入住體驗！

We had a amazing stay. Lovely beds, shower and the food for breakfast was delicious and had such variation! The staff were incredibly helpful. Li Wenqiao was particularly superb!! He went out of his way to help us we any questions and needs we had during our stay (often before we even had the chance to ask!). This included sorting us out car hires in Lanzhou and beyond. Despite the language barrier he made a sincere effort to make us feel welcome and check we understood everything we needed to know. Wang Naipeng was also amazingly helpful! Coming to the rescue when we ordered takeout to completely the wrong place 😂 We wish were returning to Lanzhou again soon, so we could stay in the hotel again! :)

I don’t usually bother leaving reviews, but our stay was such a pleasant one that I felt compelled to share. My husband and I truly enjoyed all five nights here. The experience absolutely lives up to the Sheraton name and the staff consistently went out of their way to help with anything we needed, especially 小刘 from the concierge team, who was exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. We were pleasantly surprised to find a humidifier in the room, such a considerate touch for a desert town with very dry air. Breakfast was another highlight, with a great spread including pancakes and waffles, which we really appreciated as international travelers. The location is also very convenient, just a 10-minute drive to the Mogao Grottoes. Overall, a very comfortable stay with great food without the need of leaving the hotel for dinner. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place where comfort and service truly matter.

Reka bentuk kolam, suhu air dan kemudahan adalah sangat baik (dan sentiasa perkara pertama yang saya pertimbangkan semasa memilih hotel). Pilihan sarapan dan rasa memenuhi sepenuhnya standard Hilton. Pemindahan lif agak menyusahkan, mungkin disebabkan susun atur (tidak penting). Bahan dan kualiti selipar bilik tidak memenuhi piawaian Hilton; mereka berasa terlalu murah dan perlu diperbaiki. Mengenai perkhidmatan, saya tidak pasti cara menilainya (pengalaman dan perasaan peribadi semata-mata): 1. Disebabkan oleh keadaan yang tidak dijangka, saya tidak dapat kembali ke hotel untuk daftar keluar jam 12:00 tengah hari. Meja penyambut tetamu menawarkan untuk melanjutkan daftar keluar saya hingga 2:00 petang. Saya akan memberikan ulasan lima bintang; tiada masalah di sana. 2. Sebagai pengembara perniagaan yang kerap, saya telah menginap di pelbagai hotel, daripada mewah hingga mesra bajet. Walaupun saya menempah melalui Ctrip, wakil perkhidmatan pelanggan setiap hotel secara proaktif menambahkan saya di WeChat selepas melihat tempahan saya untuk bertanya tentang keperluan saya dan berkomunikasi terlebih dahulu. Saya secara proaktif menghubungi hotel ini melalui Ctrip selepas membuat tempahan, berharap untuk meminta sarapan percuma. Mereka tidak dapat memenuhi permintaan saya (boleh difahami, memandangkan kos dan faktor pengurusan mereka; saya tidak boleh menyusahkan mereka, dan saya tidak mengharapkan banyak). We stayed at the hotel in late 2025.3 Everything exceeded our expectations. When I book, it seems the location outside the city is a drawback of this hotel, which is compensated by a free pickup. But for a sightseeing trip in ZhangYe and with services the hotel has to offer, the location doesn't matter at all. Not to mention that the hotel's car+driver offer is quite competitive compared to what we have pre-booked. ###Room###: The room was spacious with comfortable beds and lots of amenities. WiFi speed is decent. There is also a public washing & drying machine, where the maid offered to wash our clothes. ###Restaurant###: The breakfast was plenty. The dinner offer a wide variety of local and standard dishes at an accpetable price. We got a free decent late night snack/dessert (with milk for children) delivered to the room at night. ###Staff###: The staff was very attentive. It started with the driver waiting at the train staion exit. Then we were greeted at the hotel by a staff with a good command of English. The staff has good knowledge of sightseeing spots in ZY. At dinner, the staffs made their best to help us understand the menu, patiently expained the food choices, as well as help estimate how much food we should order. (We are traveling with 2 children.) When we arrive back at the hotel in the evening, they enthusiasticly offered to help carry our stuffs. Tips are not expected nor accepted. If I have to comment, a moisturizing lotion and extra blankets in the room would help when the weather is cold. This hotel will definitely be my first choice if we ever come to Zhangye again.

酒店的地理位置不好，晚間睡覺頗受外面車輛噪音影響，提前説要安靜的房間，沒有安排晚上申請調了一個房仍然很吵。體驗感非常差，提前離開天水不會再來了。今天上午驅車三個多小時來到了天水，入住年初新開的本地最高檔酒店福朋喜來登，中午小憩下午開車去伏羲廟和天水博物館，一路上體驗感極差，電動車和行人在快車道上隨意穿行混亂不堪，伏羲廟和博物館沒有驚艷，遊覽無序雜亂無章。慕名去青石巷買了香酥小花捲順便帶了伴手禮甘谷辣椒麪，買了隴西臘肉夾饃做晚餐，品嚐了人生第一頓麻辣燙，沒有多難吃但絕對不能説多好吃。原計劃的三日行一減再減，決定明日上午麥積山石窟參觀結束直接回西安。麥積山石窟也很有特色按窟收費。一個地方又不好玩又不好吃説的就是天水吧[呲牙]
