AAnonymous UserThis hotel is clearly showing its age and may not meet expectations for those looking for a more modern or well-maintained stay. While it carries the IHG branding, the overall experience feels dated.
One of the main challenges was communication. The front desk staff had very limited English proficiency, making it difficult to get clear directions—especially regarding parking. Guests are required to go to the front desk to ask about parking arrangements, which is not very convenient. The signage outside is also misleading, and it’s easy to mistakenly park at a nearby open-air lot that charges ¥100 per 15 minutes or ¥1000 for 12 hours. The hotel’s designated parking is actually located in a shopping mall, which is not immediately obvious.
The rooms themselves are quite old, with worn facilities. The bathroom had a noticeable musty smell, suggesting poor ventilation or maintenance. Amenities were basic—Dove toiletries were provided instead of the more commonly seen Pola brand in Japanese hotels. The air conditioning was also ineffective, which made the stay less comfortable.
That said, the hotel does have one strong advantage: location. It is directly opposite Ōmichō Market, making it very convenient for exploring the market and enjoying a great local breakfast.
Overall, this hotel may be suitable for travelers
who prioritize location over comfort, but those expecting a smoother and more modern stay might want to consider other options.

GGuest UserAmazing stay. Very conveniently located just 5-10 min from the station. The room was spacious and well equipped, very comfortable.
The only things to know are: it’s very close to the station so you will sometimes hear trains depending on your rooms location. The AC was also restricted during my stay so it would only stay at one temperature and you couldn’t make it colder.
Other than that it was a great stay

The hotel's service is meticulous and considerate, and the staff and driver are kind and kind throughout the whole process. Whether it is check-in reception and demand assistance, they are patient and thoughtful. They are considerate of the guests everywhere, making people feel at home instantly. In particular, free shuttle service is also provided, so that you don't have to worry about traffic problems, which saves a lot of trouble for the journey, and the caring degree is full.
The room is clean and comfortable, the environment is quiet and elegant, you can hear birds singing, the air is fresh, I can sleep well without even turning on the air conditioner. The desserts in the hall taste sweet, so pleasant surprise 🍓, there is a small gift shop to buy.
The hot springs in the museum are warm and comfortable, and the complete personal soaking is a lot easier. Especially the waterfall hot springs, the water flow is just right, can massage the shoulder and neck parts, relieve the stiffness and fatigue of weekdays.
I sincerely thank all the service staff of Xiduoba Hotel for creating such a comfortable and comfortable accommodation environment with heart. From service to facilities, from meals to experience, everything is impeccable. GGuest UserThis hotel located exactly beside JR Kanazawa Sta. So if you want to go to Shirakawago by bus ( of course u have to reserved before ) it is easy to reach the bus station behind Kanazawa Sta. I choose this hotel also because I used Hokuriku pass which is passed by Kanazawa Sta. The room is like other 3 star hotel in Japan, not too big but enough if you bring top loading luggage.

EeasyyongOur stay in Morino Sumika was wonderful. This hotel is probably one the best Hotel (Ryokan) We’ve ever stayed in Japan. We are so impressed with their service. The staffs are polite and responsive even though language barrier. We stayed in a room with open air bath type with balcony looking at the slope garden and hotel itself. The architecture is stunningly beautiful. Room are spacious and bigger than we had expected. The room layout is great. We are so amazed with the hotel facility and everything in the hotel that we want to spend much more time at the hotel rather than going out.
The hotel is about 5 km away from Kagaonsen Station in the area called Yamashiro Onsen. They offer shuttle service which we contact them via email. Yamashiro Onsen is very nice and calm.
FYI… Kagaonsen Station is 20 minutes travel from Kanazawa by Hokuriku Shinkansen… very convenience..

GGuest UserThis hotel is excellent! It's super close to JR Kanazawa Station, making it easy to walk to Omicho Market, the castle town area, and the Samurai District. Plus, public transport is conveniently nearby. The hotel staff were wonderful, and they even offered free drip coffee and access to a large public bath. If I visit Kanazawa again, I'd definitely choose this hotel.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic! Although it's a bit of a walk from Kanazawa Station, the hotel is surrounded by amazing restaurants. All the eateries recommended by the official Kanazawa website are within walking distance, and the hotel is centrally located, making it super convenient to get anywhere. Since taking the bus can be a hassle, I'd recommend walking – it really doesn't take that long, haha!
The hotel environment is also perfectly fine. They don't provide slippers, but since it's a Japanese-style tatami room, you just walk on it directly, so it's no big deal. If you're particular, you can bring your own disposable slippers. Plus, the hotel cleans daily, and even the shoe cabinet is wiped clean!
Just a heads-up: you can't stay in the room during cleaning hours (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM), and check-ins aren't processed then either. You can hang out in the hotel lobby during that time, but honestly, when you're on vacation, shouldn't you be out enjoying yourself instead of waiting around?

GGuest UserThe location is good, it's close to the train station. Staff were super friendly. There's a restaurant within the hotel which we had dinner there, food was good, though the price was a little higher than a normal local restaurant, but for the convenient sake, it was worth it.
The bedroom was normal and bathroom is on the small side, since it's located in a small city/town, so don't expect it to be like those hotel in big city but overall it's clean and comfortable, and we were happy with it. There is also a self service free coffee at the lobby, which was good to have some hot drinks especially in the cold weather.
Breakfast was very delicious, and you could tell they really made an effort. I would say it's the part I liked the most about my stay.

I visited here in the first night. At first, I thought the hotel would be closer to the Kanazawa station (in the map told me around 400 meter from station but I think it more than 400 meter, however it is not too far).
For me, the hotel is very well (High cleanliness, many amenities, good advice about travel in Kanazawa from hotel staff).

金金One parking and two meals, including breakfast and dinner, very traditional Japanese cuisine, barbecue on the first night and Sukiyaki pot on the second night, the hotel also has a natural outdoor hot spring, which can relieve the fatigue of a day of skiing. The Yiliye Ski Resort is great. The hotel is only two minutes away from the ski area, which is very convenient.
