Hotel 4-Bintang di Liberec, Republik Czech

I spent one night at this hotel. The hotel was located on the fifth floor of a commercial building. When I got there, the large entrance hall was completely empty. It confused me a bit. Then I found out that I have to take the elevator to the hotel. The lower floors of the building housed offices and doctors' surgeries. My room was small but cozy. There was a terrace that was as big as the room. The bathroom was separated from the room by a glass wall. The walls were quite thin, so you could hear all the noise from the corridor and also the TV on in the next room. Fortunately, it was quiet at night here. No one was walking in the hallway or had the TV on loud. The breakfast was excellent. It was possible to sit inside or on the terrace. Check in and check out was quick. The staff were nice and helpful.

Beautiful things are created by people, but there are other people who manage to ruin these beautiful things. This is the case with this hotel. From the moment of arrival (1150 hours), before I could greet the reception staff, an extremely bored and unfriendly employee informed me that I could check in at 2:00 pm (I knew this from the reservation details). She wasn't even curious about what we were looking for in the hotel - maybe I was lost! I waited about 15 minutes for it to gather and tried again, with the request to check if at least the room is ready. And then, miracle. The hotel manager appeared at the reception, and the attitude suddenly changed: I was accommodated immediately, I received many useful information and even free drinks for the bar. The rest doesn't matter anymore, I only saw the negative aspects: the room was extremely small, in terms of available space, especially for double occupancy. The breakfast room was quite limited, so at peak times it became extremely crowded.

We had some kind of a bad start but the staff made it good in the end. Arriving at the Pytloun Wellness Hotel came with a bad surprise: the so called Wellness Hotel was more or less just a sauna and a jacuzzi and this was not even included in the anything-but-low-cost-room. One hour would have cost € 50,00! I called the reception and spoke to a very friendly and gentle Katja (?) who offered me one hour of spa for free. As this would have been later that evening I decided to take a bath instead (my room came with a bath tub). Unfortunately, the water was not hot (the fridge was not cold though) which is why I visited the reception and this time spoke to the equally friendly and gentle manager of the hotel, Barbora. She repeated the invitation for a one hour free of charge visit to the spa and offered a change of rooms. My new room was fantastic! I think it fulfilled the characteristics of the superior room I had booked....spacious and with a nice view. Very comfortable bed and -now- super bathroom and cold fridge. The most fantastic experience was the kindness of the manager to mail a small wallet with some pills I had forgotten! This is quite unusual and much appreciated. All in all it was a nice experience and I wish I would come back when the spa has been extended and the expression 'Wellness Hotel' meets the standard.

Schade, ich hatte mir aufgrund des Webauftritts mehr erhofft. Zu den positiven Dingen: - ansprechend gestaltetes und renoviertes Zimmer - ebenso Lobby und Frühstücksraum, sowie das Treppenhaus - Frühstück mit guter Qualität, die Auswahl könnte besser sein - Sauberkeit im ganzen Haus - zentrale Lage, zahlreiche Gaststätten nach wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar Zu den Kritikpunkten: - bei Ankunft Check Inn nicht besetzt und kein Hinweis wie jemand erreicht werden kann. - Zahlung der Rechnung für meine 3 tägige Reservierung bei Check Inn - Zimmer immer noch mit Teppichboden, obwohl dies aus hygienischen Gründen nicht mehr Standard sein sollte, zumal neu errichtet. - Waschbecken und WC liegen so nah beieinander, dass der Oberkörper eingeklemmt wird (Planungsfehler) - extrem belastend und störend der laute Verkehrslärm, trotz geschlossener Fenster. Hier rauscht täglich ab 4 Uhr morgens bis abends 23 Uhr der Berufsverkehr sowie Nutzfahrzeuge durch. Unweit zum Marktplatz mit Kopfsteinpflaster und keine Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen. - kein vernünftiger Parkplatz! Gegenüber öffentlich und nur kostenlos nachts bis 7 Uhr morgens. Da frühstückt der normale Gast aber erst noch. Und der angebotene kostenpflichtige Hotelparkplatz 6€/Tag ca. 120m entfernt, entpuppte sich als schmale Baulücke mit eingeschränkter Wendemöglichkeit, Schotter und Wiese. Wahrlich eine Frechheit und Unvermögen, dies besser zu lösen. - krankheitsbedingt musste ich eine Tag früher abreisen, in anderen Hotels kein Problem, aber hier wollte man noch nicht einmal aus Kulanz auf den Wunsch des Kunden eingehen. Es hieß nur, die Firma zahlt das ja. - Schreibtisch im Zimmer ohne Tischbeleuchtung Wenn, dann empfehle ich ausschließlich Zimmer zum Hinterhof. Wäre nicht die positiven Punkte so im Kontrast, hätte ich einen Punkt weniger vergeben

Der Self-Check-Inn war selbsterklärend, genügend Parkplätze waren verfügbar und die Zimmer sauber. Eventuell einziger Nachteil ist die Lage. Zu Fuß sind es gut 4 km ins Zentrum von Liberec. Gut war das leckere Frühstück sowie die kleinen Snacks am Nachmittag.

Die Appartements gehören zum Hotel, liegen aber rund 1,5 km entfernt. Das ist in der Beschreibung nicht erwähnt. Somit mussten wir erst in die Einrichtung laufen, um dann wieder zurück zum Haupthotel in der Innenstadt den Schlüssel zu bekommen. Das Apartment war ordentlich und mit den nötigsten Sachen ausgestattet. Sehr ärgerlich war das anstehen am Frühstücksbuffet. Es waren nicht ausreichend Sitzplätze vorhanden und man musste in einer Schlange warten, bis man einen Platz zugeteilt bekommen hat. Auch der Frühstücksraum war überfüllt und die Tische waren eng gestellt. Das Buffet allerdings war sehr gut. Das Servicepersonal an der Anmeldung war weniger freundlich.

Starting with welcoming, very friendly, polite and helpful reception staff, through the clean and comfortable room to the rich breakfast everything was perfect. I always tend to try different hotels when coming repeatedly to the same place but after a first stay in Zlaty Lev Liberec became an exception and I always book this hotel and will keep on doing it.

Apartament był świetny, szczególnie w relacji do niskiej ceny. Duży, łóżko bardzo wygodne, praktyczna kuchnia, dobra lokalizacja. Naprawdę niezły hotelowy standard. Blisko centrum, ale pod stroną górkę, także tutaj ostrzeżenie dla osób ze słabą kondycją. Jedyne co jest tragiczne, to sposób zameldowania. Na urządzeniu musiałem wpisać 6 cyfrowy kod, którego nie otrzymałem. Obsługa podała jakiś, jednak on nie działał. Skończyło się, że musiałem jechać 2-3 kilometry do innej hotelu po kartę. Na szczęście podróżowałem samochodem… Czytaliśmy o tym problemie wcześniej. Tym bardziej wydaje się to dziwne, że problem przez długi czas nie został naprawiony.
