FFishtail7Located within walking distance to the Buddha Stupa, this hotel is in a convenient location yet in a quiet corner near the stupa. The service is great and the staff are very helpful and hospitable. The highlight is there’s a ******* Buddhism Monastery right in the hotel’s yard, and guests can do free yoga course every morning inside the monastery which is a big plus.

GGuest UserA fantastic hotel with beautiful architecture and wooden detailing. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Free yoga in the morning on the rooftop and a walking tour is provided upon request. The rooms are large with lots of light. The bathroom is functional with good water pressure. For winter, an electric blanket, portable heater and hot water bottles are supplied. Delicious and well priced breakfast. Amazing value for money.

BBernard VoonThe hotel is conveniently situated right behind of the Garden of Dreams. Just a short walking distance to the busy Thamel area. The vicinity has convenience stores, cafes, eateries and pharmacy.
The room is quite small but it's alright for a short stay. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other hotels that I've stayed. Very basic fitness facility in the hotel, do wish that they would make the gym bigger and better equipped.
The breakfast buffet is good enough for some fuel before heading out to explore. Omelette could definitely be improved but I do like the mushrooms and bacon with my omelette. They also have a soup station which you can pick what you want to go into your soup. The soy latte was nicely done. Some day they serve the chocolate cake which is a must try.
Staffs are very well trained and speaks good english. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the value for money, fantastic location and good hospitality.

MMatthew1122The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the service, as well as the food is excellent. The rooms however, are very old and small (we were able to change rooms after bringing this up with reception). The location is in Thamel and getting to nearby attractions is convenient

Stayed 3 days at Tulsi Kathmandu Hotel during the Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF 2026), and it turned out to be an excellent base for a business-focused trip.
Location
Very central in Thamel, within walking distance to key areas, restaurants, and festival venues. Ideal when the city is busy due to events like NIFF (held April 2–6, 2026 in Kathmandu). (The Film Nepal)

GGuest UserI stayed here in Kathmandu after arriving for my ABC trek, and it's a really great place. The security and front desk staff are very welcoming! What's most important for someone like me, who isn't great at English, is that the front desk ladies and the owner all speak Chinese, which is super convenient. They can also help you call a taxi or answer the phone when you're heading out. The room was very clean! If I ever come back to Nepal, I'll definitely choose this hotel again. The owner can even help book flights, and they're very affordable.

NN SolA great hotel in the heart of the Thamel district. Both the rooms and common areas are decorated in a national style, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The panoramic restaurant on the 7th floor is fantastic – delicious food with a diverse breakfast buffet and an extensive menu for other meals, including both local and European dishes. The hotel also has a very good spa, though it doesn't operate late into the evening. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable.

PPenelope YueThe hotel is conveniently located and the room had a nice traditional design. However, I encountered a strong smell in the room, which made my stay uncomfortable. I burned incense to improve the air, which unexpectedly led to a dispute with the hotel about compensation.
The amount they requested was surprisingly high and difficult for me to understand. Eventually, the issue was resolved through the booking platform, but the experience was stressful and not something I expected on my trip. I hope the hotel can handle such situations with more flexibility and understanding in the future

GGuest UserA nice hotel a short walk from the middle of Thamel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Gym is small, but has a nice view overlooking Kathmandu. The hotel is very quiet considering how loud the area is around it. I would recommend this hotel.
