Hotel 4-Star di Canton of Luxembourg, Luxembourg

The place was far from the city centre. It’s in the middle of a lush forest, and there’s direct bus 4 and 32 going to the city centre every 30 minutes or so. All public transports are free in Luxembourg. There’s a self-serviced supermarket and a few salons owned by the hotel in the same building. It’s equipped with a swimming pool and gym, but there was no time to try them out. Breakfast was worth it, so it’s best if you book the hotel with breakfast on trip.com rather than adding it when you’re in the hotel, since it costs €16 for breakfast pre-booking 1 night before and €23 for the same-day booking. There are free cookies given to patrons during check-in and upon request too from 10 a.m. and they are delish! So far, Luxembourg is not exactly a well-known tourist destination, but it’s an interesting place with an international palate.

This is certainly one of the best Mercure that I have ever stayed at. The owner and management must have put in tremendous effort to do up the interior decor. The lobby lounge was so homely opulent. The room was tastefully modern and done up, though do note that the bathroom did not have a door, so it was easy to get a chill after a hot shower, especially in winter. Breakfast room was cozy but the spread was excellent with hot selections, a rarity for small european hotels! Bus stop right at front of hotel to catch the free bus #9 to town.

I loved the hotel. I found it beautiful. It has a gorgeous old elevator, and the room was spacious, very clean, with a view of the square across the street. The staff were extremely friendly; they even brought us fruit after we checked in. Highly recommended. It's an old hotel, but everything works perfectly, and it retains the charm of the past. I would definitely stay there again.

A mid-range business hotel. Not luxurious, but it offers all the necessary amenities. Small gym and sauna. Breakfast is satisfactory. Silent, convenient location for Kirchberg area.

Everything about this hotel was satisfying, from its location and cleanliness to the service and amenities. All the staff who greeted us at check-in were incredibly kind and lovely, which made for a wonderful start to our trip in Luxembourg. The room was a bit small, but it felt like a palace compared to the UK hotels we stayed in afterward. I also really enjoyed being able to use Rituals products. When I mentioned that my sister's birthday fell during our stay, they gave her a lovely birthday surprise, which made it a truly memorable experience. 🥰

The single room I booked was clean, but quite small and simple - I would even call it spartan. The staff was not very friendly; I would have expected a bit more. Still, I was not turned away :). The location is convenient, close to both the historical center and the European Quarter. I would stay there again, but without any high expectations.

The room was really spacious, with a lovely small lawn outside the window that looked like a prairie. It was super convenient to take the free shuttle into town to explore. We stayed out until past 10 PM, then took three different buses back. Even though it was summer, I was practically freezing by the time we got back in the middle of the night. One thing I definitely have to commend the hotel for: I accidentally left my car keys on the sofa by the entrance and only realized they were missing when I got back late. I rushed to the front desk, and even though the shift had changed, they thankfully found them in a drawer. Even more coincidentally, I met the family who found the keys right there at the front desk. Everyone was so kind, and I'm incredibly grateful. Losing them would have absolutely ruined our entire trip!

Getting here from the airport is easy by bus, and from the city center, you can take a tram or bus. We arrived at night and surprisingly, I couldn't find the lobby right away – it's actually combined with the most prominent restaurant. The room was spacious and the facilities were new, with air conditioning. Several Novotel hotels I've stayed at in Europe seem to use Rituals bath products. Although there's no free bottled water, there's a water dispenser on each floor by the elevators, which even offers sparkling water. The sparkling water was incredibly bubbly and ice-cold, which was really refreshing. Breakfast is on the first floor, offering a standard European spread. The dairy products were decent, but the bread was just okay, and the air conditioning was set too cold.

The location is a bit out of the way, the nearest bus stops about 150 m from the hotel. The rooms seem a bit dated and despite the ”do not disturb” sign on the door, the cleaners knock. The smell of chemical cleaners is very present and the beds are extremely soft, which is a matter of taste. Apart from that, the rooms were clean and cleaned daily. The wellness facilities such as the sauna, swimming pool and gym are quite small compared to the number of guests. The food was not up to the standard of a four-star hotel in my opinion, I have had better experiences. However, almost all of the staff were extremely friendly. Overall, I would not book this hotel again because the bed was too soft for me and the hotel is a bit dated

The room was spacious and comfortable, and they even provided complimentary bottled water – everything was great. While the hotel is a bit far from the city center and there aren't many dining options nearby, Luxembourg's public transportation is free, making it super easy to get downtown. It's a very convenient choice for families, highly recommend!
