Hotel 3 Bintang di Alajuela, Costa Rica

great place with wonderful views of the arenal, rainforest, and close to the trails. We stayed for 4 days. rooms were a decent size. Breakfast is great, and the food options are plenty. So is the food option for lunch and dinner; however, the town is only 4 km away. plenty of option there for food. This is also about 10-15 kms from the Fortuna waterfall. the hot springs on the location are great. the hottest at the top and getting slightly less warmer at the bottom. Our favorite activities are the canopy trails and the horse back riding. Both are available onsite. Michael is so good. He and another person (forgot the name :(; very good as well) made the canopy zipline a great experience. Horseback ride to the waterfall was great afternoon activity. we are going back for sure. the only complaint is the shower pressure. it is seriously low.

My tour operator booked me at Magic Mountain for the weekend on the last part of my trip after I came from Monteverde by ferry in Lake Arenal. The receptionists for all the days were great to me and helpful. My room was taken care of each day. A fridge was available to keep my drinks cold. The room had air conditioning when you need to turn it on. The bathroom had what I needed in fresh towels and a hair dryer, but my one criticism which I already let the receptionist know on my last day is that there needs to be a soap/shampoo/conditioner rack or holder in the shower as the only place to put these items is either on the floor or in a window ledge above you which is not ideal. The balcony view of the back of the hotel was really something when you can see Arenal Volcano in the background on clear days. The swimming pool area (with a bar right beside it) and hot tubs were nice to relax if you were not going out and wanted to hang around the hotel. Their restaurant is a nice place to eat if you did not want to go out, but at least the breakfast choices and service such as asking for a chef to make custom omelettes were very good. I think that sums up what I remember since a week ago. I can say overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Liked the convenience and experience of the hot pools. Nice separate cabins and good breakfast and pleasant staff.

We stayed here on our first night after we landed in San Jose. It is a great location only 60 min away from the airport. They pay attention to all the small details like having an umbrella outside your room. Nestled in the countryside they have multiple trails to choose from.

I was here for coworking for about 3 weeks so got to know the place pretty well. I do not think CoLive is worth the value, was told I get discounts on food and drink and that was never honored. And got just as good WiFi in my room and shared spaces so no need to pay extra. The real gem of my stay was Charles, his yoga classes were more advanced depending on his am or pm class but amazing and accommodating to all skill levels. Best Selina yoga classes I had my whole trip. The staff was friendly even with their limited English, knew me by name. My standard room smelled of mildew and the kitchen cook wears need replacing and please get new knifes. Bummed that the social spaces closed at 10pm. Left us with no where to go because night life isn’t abundant in La Fortuna. Loved the layout of this Selina. One main social space right by the pool where everyone would gather there. Locals even came to enjoy the pool on hot days and never felt crowed, fun social events even if they were not always busy I’m glad they were available to solo travelers like me! The music they booked and played was surprisingly really good. Definitely worth a stay at this location

Positives: Great views of the volcano from the full window room. Good size rooms. Isolated, green and well maintained gardens. Walking distance to the national park and free hot water springs. Air conditioning in the room. Rooms and linen were clean. Very friendly staff - only the female reception staff though. I had an incident of a lost passport in a restaurant and Juliana at the reception was exceptionally helpful in getting it back. Negatives: A few amenities were missing in the room. A bottle of water, glasses and safe was missing. The shower could be turned off only with specialist knowledge, which we were given only on our third day. So had to bear a dripping shower for 2 nights. The WC was defective too and was fixed on the third day only. They have large premises and there is no telephone in the room and the only way to contact reception is WhatsApp, which they are no so good at responding to. Staff not very pro-active or even reactive. Location is far off from La Fortuna town - 9 kms. Access to good restaurants and bars in the evening will be dependent on taxi/Uber if you don’t have a car. They have food but a limited menu. Even short distances can’t be walked at night due to lack of sidewalks and it being a motorway/highway. They are not very flexible with an early breakfast (only as early as 7 am). Conclusion: A good place to stay amongst nature with great views but be ready for a hit and miss customer service. This is a general observation in CR - the hospitality and hotel prices have increased not in proportion to the customer service/care they offer.

不得不說普通房的性價比超高，他坐落在火山和火山湖的邊上的一整個山頭，前台接待的工作人員都十分熱情且耐心，無邊泳池的景色也是附近無敵的11。我們居住的16號的時候我超愛他的陽台，坐在那裡的長椅上享受幾天與世隔絕的生活，但是我建議對居住環境比較高的的朋友選擇酒店的精緻套房，普通房衛生間有點局促沒有冰箱和吹風機。早餐是定式1，選擇並不太多，水果衹有一小塊菠蘿，一小塊西瓜和木瓜量很少，第一天我們多要了一份水果但第二天就要收費2刀。因為山下餐廳大約有一公裏路所以我們還在餐廳用了正餐，口味不錯。

We stayed just one night at the hotel and were impressed by the lush grounds, beautiful pools and stunning views of the Arenal Volcano. The check-in process was smooth and the staff we interacted with were very pleasant. The bungalow was nicely appointed, rustic, with beautiful gardens surrounding it. The space was quite large with lots of storage, a small table, sitting area, large bathroom and a small kitchenette area with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. And the price - WOW! The grounds were full of tropical plants and we saw many birds and were visited by hummingbirds on our porch. The back of the property has a large pasture with great views of the volcano. We walked back there in the early morning to take in the surroundings - volcano views, parrots, monkeys - just perfect. Breakfast was a HUGE typical breakfast, a great way to start the day. For the price, this location is awesome! It’s a bit out of town and one would need a car or taxi. We dined at Jalapas, enjoyed a day pass at The Springs, did the Don Juan Coffee & Chocolate Tour and the Sloth Walk at Bogarin Trail. All excellent! We had bungalow #38, which was quiet and situated away from the pools. Next time I would choose a bungalow further back from the main entry as you do hear some road noise (mostly large trucks gearing down). For those on an even smaller budget, rooms 13 and 19, in the buildings at the back of the property have STUNNING views of the volcano.

I loved this hotel in which we stayed as a family for seven days. The views are breathtakingly beautiful (website photos don't do it justice at all) and everything is just so easy because of the exceptional help of the hotel staff who will take care of anything you could possibly need. The tours organized in partnership with this hotel are extraordinary and we did almost all of them. The beauty of the place and the accommodations (living and service) were exemplary. To testify further, when I left, it seems I had forgotten my laptop, and before I had even realized this and fallen into complete panic, the hotel staff contacted me through what's app to make arrangements to currier it to me in the hotel in San Jose we would be staying in the night before we catch our flight back to Canada. Thank you Jocy for saving me! I would have been lost without my laptop and you and the entire staff were truly exceptional. This place is spectacular. Don't miss it.

Perkhidmatan ini baik, saya telah membaca bahawa Daftar keluar tetapi anda hanya boleh satu jam sahaja, memandangkan mereka mengenakan bayaran sepanjang malam lebih lama, saya melakukannya kerana saya tiba di hotel pada pukul 2 pagi dan mempunyai penerbangan pada pukul 9 malam, oleh itu ia tidak seperti saya, sekurang-kurangnya mereka harus membantu dengan 2 jam. Rehat semua sangat baik, perkhidmatan pemindahan ke hotel sangat baik

Trapp Family Country Inn was a great place to kick off our vacation in Costa Rica. I only wish we had had more time in our itinerary to really enjoy the place longer. It is a short taxi ride from the airport, and the property is behind a gate. We had a late arrival, but a staff member was waiting for us, arranged our breakfast order for the next morning, and showed us to our room. The room was clean, the shower was warm, and the balcony was lovely. The next morning we enjoyed a nice breakfast on the patio while watching the birds and butterflies. We were easily able to Uber to our next location in Alajuela. I just wish we had had the time to enjoy the pool because it looked great!

I read summer great reviews of this place and it did not disappoint. There are small trails on the property. Stunt get excited, they are small but you are not next to another building! The pool is nice but not heated. If you are from the NE US, you are used to it. Or was refreshing especially after being in the sun for a bit. The hotel is nicely kept but more of a local style which I prefer more than the standard hotel room. The room is beautiful and the bed is comfy. You can't go wrong here. Many people I met do the same thing, spend the last night in Costa Rica before flying out. Very secure, not much near, but the best ends to your pura vida vacation.
