The Deluxe room we were allocated was possibly the worst view you could get for the most expensive price you could pay. We were allocated a room ( 210) directly opposite the lifts and in the room out view consisted of overlooking a persons apartment and as they were having drinks on the balcony and we were maybe 2metres away from that building there was zero privacy . The curtains were very fine materiel so in order to have some distance between us and them we were forced to keep the heavy drapes closed all day and night . This made the small room very claustrophobic, the windows don’t appear to be doubled glazed so on the lower levels you can hear the bins being emptied and the general rough and tumble of the lower laneways and the residents in the adjacent building having late night drinks . When we enquired about moving rooms we were offered a room two doors down . The annoying thing was they said they were fully booked so there was no rooms on higher floors we could move too . A quick check on Wotif revealed that there were actually rooms available that you could book so there were vacancies , but l guess it was better to hold them open to get top dollar rather than to accommodate current guests who’d paid upfront 2months prior . I would have moved current guests who had a legitimate concern if it had been me making the decision as a gesture of support, but l guess they weren’t to concerned because we’d paid already but that type of contempt for guests who chose to stay in good faith wears thin . Not a pleasant stay wouldn’t recommend and will be happy for a refund !

After booking, I read horrid reviews about the hotel. after contemplating cancelling the stay, I decided to give it a try. It exceeded my expectations. I stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was brilliant. The housekeeping was to my expectations. The bathroom with the jacuzzi facility (SPA) in the bath tub was very good. The service, generally was good, thought I didnt call for room service etc. I made sure I did not tough any of the items to be purchased and eaten (as I had the experience of Las Vegas, where if you touched something, the sensors could detect it and you could get charged). The location was just brilliant - close to a tram line and in the heart of the city. Its close to the main biz center on Collins (you can walk there). I did not try the breakfast. Yes, admittedly, the hotel appears a bit old with slightly old (but acceptable to me) carpets. But I had not come in with the expectations of walking into a Four Seasons or a Sofitel. I'm a frequent traveler (5-6 trips a month); and for the price, in heart of MEL, this place is a steal. Dont go with the wrong expectation and you will enjoy the place. To sum it - BRILLIANT & most definitely VALUE FOR MONEY. I will DEFINITELY GO BACK. Thank you, Stamford team!

Booked this hotel for a work trip in Melbourne. Location is absolutely amazing, close to cafes, restaurants, shops and super good if you are staying around Collin St as it’s just right locate at Little Collin St. The architectural design of the hotel complex is really aesthetically pleasing! Staff is also very friendly, amenity sets are also well provided, the boutique brand of organic shampoo, shower gel and hair conditioner were very nice. I was surprised to see a Dyson hair dryer there sell well! Overall my stay at the Next Hotel was very pleasant, would definitely come back!

Service was very good but overall experience I would rate it as mediocre. The location is very convenient. The room looks quite dated. When we entered the room, i killed 2 bugs and was very worried if they were bed bugs, so called room service and they came down to attend to us right away. However, the hotel facilities were not functioning very well. For instance, the touch screen lift was not working well. Many time we scanned our room cards, it doesn't detect our floors so we ended up missing our floor and went up or down with other guests. The bath tub with spa function was so loud when turned on, you could hear them by the bed outside the toilet. All the furnishing in the room and surrounding seems very outdated. The chairs on the breakfast tables were not looking very new and quite dirty with stains and dirts.

I’d like to share our Villa experience at Crown Towers Melbourne room 3138 from 29th to 31st May 2023. To start, our greeting from Anthony and Sarah was simply delightful with champagne and the ultimate introduction of the room. We couldn’t have asked for anything more on arrival. The housekeeping attention to detail was excellent, though a mop was left in the second lavatory on the 2nd day. Not a big deal for us, however it’s those small touches that could impact other guests impressions. The bed was WOW - the linens, wow wow wow, like a cloud. The Koko Black chocolates were beautiful though the fruit bowl was nothing to be desired, a fruit platter would have made a nicer touch. The ceramics and art work in the Villa were spectacular though please inspect and dust the two ceramic cranes in the bedroom, the dust on them was so thick, I don’t think it had been done for a couple of months. The power plug at the bedroom window was slightly off the wall requiring maintenance and scuff marks on the walls. There was some feedback that we would like to give that would’ve made our stay absolutely incredible and memorable and what we thought would have been included as a ‘butler touch’ but failed to deliver. (Noting that we have stayed at numerous other properties globally that do this) For example, Knowing that it was our anniversary, a romantic bath or rose petals on the bed after we returned from the club room, would’ve been a nice touch Knowing that we were going to stay in, enjoy the room and watch movies, a small gesture of popcorn or movie snacks would’ve been a nice touch. I would have loved if it was offered to have our luggage unpacked. The in-room tablet is a big thing for us. It’s something that influences us to stay at Crown! Knowing that we can order room service at any time from the tablet. This never worked and was never able to be fixed for the duration of stay. This was a big letdown. On our second night the turndown service came approximately 1600. It was the two Butler team, plus two Housekeeper‘s, it would’ve been better if they had of waited until we went to the club room at 1730, so we were not disturbed. Overall, I don’t think you can offer the butler service as a selling point because we were not offered anything different than when we have stayed in the Premier Club suite. If the Butlers are meant to offer you services, then this feedback should definitely be delivered because we were not offered anything above and beyond what we would get in a standard Crown Suite. Though worthy to note that any time we interacted with any of the Butler team, the communication was professional and delightful. I do expect absolute perfection in hotels (and I’m happy to pay the price) but there were just a few imperfections that need attention. I have booked again for my 40th birthday because the room was so beautiful but I will come prepared with a list of requests for the butler team since its more ‘ask and you’ll receive’ rather than ‘we will

We stayed 4 nights here just before Anzac Day. The was clean, comfortable and with a reasonable price. We had a king sized bed which was a little hard for my wife but fine for me with pillows a little on the hard side but still ok. Bathroom facilities and overall room size were a little small (we had our grandson with us). Bathroom gear like toothpaste, shivers etc were standard nothing special. The coffee pod machine was also ok. Room doors were fairly hard to push open but locking systems etc worked just fine. Surprisingly as we were within the Melbourne CBD, the room was quiet. We didn’t hear that much external noise. Staff were very good and eager to help both at the front counter and in the breakfast area. Breakfast $40 per head was reasonable but did not have the range we are used to getting at other hotels we’ve stayed at. Still it was acceptable. Interestingly our grandson (5yrs) was free for both the room and breakfast. We used the indoor swimming every night and you really couldn’t fault it as the facilities and water seemed clean and there were lots of towels available. Would definitely stay here again.

Incredibly welcoming staff at all stages - check in, room service, amenities and during breakfast. Can’t rate this place highly enough - also has some brilliant restaurants and bars within. Gym is really well kitted out and 24 hours. If you’re staying in Melbourne and can stay at the W - please do it and thank me later

Great Hotel, except I nearly got stuck in the elevator door, The door kept closing while we were trying to exit with our trolley luggage. Don’t think there is a sensor on the lift door to detect if someone is still busy to exit. Other than that it was a great experience with the restaurant on level 40 the highlight of our trip. Oh and they Double booked our first night and we had to stay in a deluxe room instead of our suite we booked on the 39th floor. But they tried hard to compensate for it. We cannot fault the service. Will definitely book again.

After many years of delayed construction we stayed at the Ritz Carlton this past Sunday night. I grabbed a rate of $491 through the Marriott website which is comparable or a bit cheaper than other 5* hotels at the other end of town. The hotel is situated at the western end of the city near the main railway station which isn't the best location in Melb for a luxury hotel. However when pulling into the entrance to have the car valet parked ($75) it's another world. The guys at the entrance were friendly and very helpful. We were escorted to the lifts and whisked up to Level 80 for check in. We were given lots of information about the hotel and facilities and the man checking us in was pleasant and tole us that we were as close to the top on Level 77. The room is spacious with a separate toilet, luggage compartment and big bathroom with bath and a large desk. The views were incredible looking across the city to the east and the bay. Unfortunately our room was a couple of levels above the neighbouring tall building so I could hear the air con all night. As typical of luxury hotels the bed had too soft pillows for my liking and we should've asked for firmer pillows, I don't know why hotels continue to provide such soft pillows. I went to Level 64 for a swim in the shallow pool which was great with incredible views. We met friends and family for drinks in the lounge where the service was prompt and friendly but the drinks are very expensive which is to be expected of a luxury hotel. On the Sunday night near midnight there was a 3.8 richter earthquake in Melbourne but I didn't feel it but my wife said the building moved slightly and I did notice the clock had moved slightly. Breakfast on the long table is fantastic and we thought the breakfast was reasonably priced a la carte only with good selection available. I would stay here again given the right rate but keep in mind the hotel is a tram ride into the shopping and most of the restaurants are up the other end of the city.

The pool is big and also the gym and sauna was much bigger than expected. Great rooms with bathrobe and everything you need. Many elevators, never needed to wait long.

I booked it for S$600 for 3 nights. Very good deal and it is a very nice hotel. Spacious for 2 adults 2 children. Separate shower room and toilet. It would be nice if it comes with bathtub though. Nothing else to complain other than the inconsistency in roomkeeping service. They only topped up amenities like tissue box upon request though it was empty during room keeping. Need to request for extra pillows as only gave 4 per room for 2 queen sized beds. not within free tram zone but only 1 stop away from free tram zone. Usually we will stop at batman park stop and walk back. Links between 2 crown hotels, very convenient.

Kami kagum dengan bilik kami pada malam pertama kerana ia mempunyai pemandangan sungai yang indah, katil yang selesa dan bilik mandi yang luas tetapi ia benar-benar malam kedua yang menjadikan penginapan kami paling diingati apabila kami diberi peningkatan yang tidak dijangka kepada satu bilik tidur suite yang kami boleh bekerja dengan selesa pada siang hari tetapi juga lebih menikmati ulang tahun kami. Ia adalah salah satu bilik hotel yang paling indah yang pernah kami tinggali dengan ruang istirahat, meja, pemandangan Yarra dan mandian spa. Walau bagaimanapun, tanpa mengira semua ini, lokasinya adalah luar biasa tepat di Southbank dan sangat menilai kemudahan gim. We chose QWS because it is superbly located for the city and cultural quarter but without any road noise. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Really friendly staff who give you their time, nothing too much trouble and a very good breakfast choice. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute of our stay. Being an apartment type hotel with residents meant that we were treated as guests not simply people passing through. We had a late flight back to London and Stephen kindly arranged for us to freshen up in a room before departing for the airport. To top it all we were upgraded to a lovely suite on the 8th floor without even asking. What a welcome. If only all accommodation providers could match the customer service we received holidays would always be great. Well done team QWS !!

The hotel is close to the Southbank shopping area and has great views. The hotel is on a very busy intersection and we had a lot of difficulty parking out the front. The hotel entrance is confusing and not obvious. The reception and restaurant area is all black and very dark, which may be fashionable but its not practical. The 2 bedroom apartment was surprising small and the bathroom and shower were too tight for tall people. The closed balcony was safe and allowed for a little fresh air. The air conditioner in our room did not work and it was to hot to sleep. The lighting was also a strange set up, you could not turn on the bathroom lights without turning on all the lounge lights. We had dinner and breakfast at the venue and dinner was very good. The cold breakfast selections were average and only melon was available for fresh fruit. The orange juice was terrible. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The best test for customer service is arguably a challenging guest, and unfortunately my food intolerances put me in that category. Peppers Marysville went above and beyond, preparing a dinner to cater to my very limited diet and facilitating me preparing my own breakfast. In theory this shouldn't be too difficult a thing to ask, but probably 8/10 times carelessness in the kitchen causes problems. It all want perfectly smoothly at Peppers. Their staff were absolutely charming and helpful, going above and beyond. The room was also very quiet and comfortable and I'm told the corporate rates for rooms are also very reasonable. I recommend very highly.

We stayed in the luxury safari tent for (2) nights and had a wonderful time. Even in the midst of Winter the tent was very warm. With a nice, comfortable bed, great pillows, sizeable room and a view across the vineyards, it was fantastic. The I have to add, the wine tasting experience was fantastic. When we stayed last year the experience was awful, chaotic and unappealing. Balgownie have done a complete 180 here and now it’s a highlight! Good on you for recognising the deficiency, remedying it and delivering a great product. It was truly the highlight for us.

We had a wonderful stay . Food excellent, staff were charming and great fun . Fiona looked after us in the dining room, a lovely lady with a great sense of humour. Our barman made three great cocktails just by giving him an idea of what we liked . Again we had great fun with him also Our room was clean and comfortable with an amazing view . Sadly ! I have to comment on our balcony which had not been swept or cleaned in weeks. Because it was a warm evening we decided to drink our complementary sparkling wine outdoors. I wiped and cleaned the table and chairs best I could along with the cobwebs. Maybe now summer is upon us attention could be made to that .
